Scrap or Starve, Street Scrapping for CASH - Scrap Steel Scavenge

get a scrappers scrap or starve that's the question so you all seen my video from a couple of days ago where I didn't pick up much at all and so for a scrapper that's trying to make a living from scrapping stuff on the street yeah you can pretty much if you're trying to make a living you can pretty much staff with the be here how little the stuff is on on the street so today we're doing a scrap or starve challenge basically we'll take anything that we can make a little bit of cash on obviously we're not going to take something like these chairs because they just take up too much space for the for the weight but that's what we're going to be doing today the scrap wood starved challenge and we're just going to go and see if we can actually make some money to to get something to eat it's something that there's a lot of scrappers out there that you know are scrapping on the streets - yeah put food on the table so we're all hungry and we're going to go out here today and try and put down a few dollars on the table so we can all eat so that's what I thought I'd do today scrapple starve challenge see if we can actually make a little bit of money so I don't know how we're going to go but we're going to try our best we're just going to take anything that we can sell within reason as scrap metal I'll try and at least cut the cords so I can speed it up when I'm at the scrapyard [Music] obviously the chords are a bonus and ah that's a bonus to Toshiba laptop still got a battery well we didn't get any pcs the other day but straight up we've got a laptop put that at the front obviously we're not gonna send that to the scrapyard [Music] but all right oh well we're gonna start got a laptop that's a bonus so it's pretty funny you know yesterday I was out looking for electricals and found nothing not one PC and today virtually straight up I find a a laptop when I'm looking for a scrap metal I'll start off trying to put all the chords at the front so when I'm emptying out the scrap metal most of the chords will be at the bottom oh he's a jack ah nice bit of heavy stuff and I might be able to get a wave that is pressing steel quite a few chords already it's a nice little brand-new kids right on car water what a shame they're throwing this out it's still brand-new still got the battery it's gonna take up a lot of spice but it's just a shame for this to go into landfill I've gotta take it yeah I don't know I just got to take it because it's a nice ride on car I'll put it out the back so so I can now take it out when I get home before I go to the scrapyard okay so put it like that yeah it's just a shame to throw it in landfill because that's where it's going to go and it's um it's brand-new in-the-box so I mean that that would be you know I don't have any kids at the moment so I don't really know what to do with it about geez I can't let it go to landfill surely someone with a couple of kids I mean at least have you know one child a little girl or something that maybe they can't afford to buy stuff I mean it doesn't look like it's really cheap [Music] you know I just hope I don't get stuck with it because I've got nothing really to do with it if I can't get rid of it but oh well how I guess it's part of the scrap or starved challenge you know we could still make some money off it you know I can just put it online and sell it for $40 $50 brand-new in boxes so I suppose still still making money just not any money for food today and that's what we're after we're after quick quick cash where we can get our cash and and yeah go and buy food so scrapple starve baby hopefully this tool Jim they're selling here oh yeah it's a little bit of brass is it yes the more junk inside it the heavier it is obviously scrapple staff these are very dirty boxes I've already got a lot of storage boxes these planters are really good and they're really heavy steel Wow I'll think about them whether to scrap them out for scrap metal or just keep them because there [Music] I don't know they look really good Twp twenty20 cricket team versus the police force it's got signatures but I don't know who it's for not my cup of tea all right yeah these planters are beautiful look at nice bases and fire scuff them up with four wire brush on the drill they might rust up and look really nice when they're rusty a circuit board some nice steel that's some good steel here [Music] I think we're gonna eat today guys Oh awesome power station air compressor oh it's a brand-new brand-new power station and an air compressor will keep that excellent I think I've got a PC guys yeah hehe ASA Inspiron Hey Wow oh that's nice if not look at that I too dull Windows 7 red that's nice I'll put that in the front how's that I haven't seen a red one before and I had it in the bag well good timing on that one yeah we're gonna PC and we're gonna let top it looks like another PC oh yes oh wow it's got a huge slot card in it I think I know it's still got the hard drive still got RAM yeah how's that well I come Coolermaster I come looking for scrap metal I get pcs I'll go looking for PCs and forget nothing champion our fresh piles so we're beating the the cord cutters all the professional ones he's something that's toilet blue whole box of toilet blue well and think it's going to use by a head I don't buy this stuff because you just flush it down a toilet but since it's free two four six eight twelve packets I'm gonna have a new loop something no juror racing club okay when your own horses you get that sort of stuff scrap metal cut and picking up some pretty good stuff Wow PC two pcs I like the Dell though I'll that coolermaster is going to be good it's probably have an i5 CPU in it might even have an i7 this one here this is a really nice pretty Dell I like the red Inspiron yeah nice extension lead she bucks with a cable dumbbell or white just have a little looky scrap metal scrapyard will take laser printer I've got time I might take the circuit board out of it not very heavy but at least it's flat cord cutters err on the ball hopefully the fluoro globes don't burst until they get to the scrapyard tablet now I want steel there's not much steel take a pot [Applause] hey we've got a modem awesome well they're rusty so they're not stainless steel but they can be scrap steel got a cellphone Nakia scrapple staff that's the theme and now that I'm going for scrapple style I'm finding good things another moment I stand a neck here hey toaster I think that's a laptop oh yeah all right nice Dell I five windows 7 beautiful hey now that's a nice doll got the battery that's the second laptop but I think that's a that's a good one only plastic trophies empty that'll do can't comply with that a toaster and a laptop can't complain at all nobody get away with that ceiling fan get some copper out of that they're not brass they're just imitation brass I might be able to get away with that laser printer as well yeah scrap steel hey brake drums get some nice steel weight still haven't worked out what I'm gonna do if those steel planters I'd like to keep him just then have heaps of room we're still getting our cord food think I found PC unexpected so no Philips radio don't want hey ma I've got my screwdriver I can take out the motherboard power supply and I can throw the rest into scrap all right Oh half a PC I just got to use the loo scrapple staff baby that's what it's all about so we make the choice which ones are going to be I think we scrap ah so nice motorbike frame there's bag right here roof might even get a half a stake out of this [Music] [Music] [Music] wish me luck getting it all out of the van at the scrap yard another piece of that frame [Music] [Music] [Music] and and a PC what's that for pcs two laptops and a feel-good bit oh don't forget that pink huh which way rocking that pink car that girls car that was a bonus tape I don't know what I'm gonna do fit I don't even have room for it but I'll do something this microwaves already had it's a transformer removed we'll take it another laser printer okay hey another PC oh well this one has had the CPU removed but we still want the motherboard VHS for scrap metal scrap metal [Applause] doesn't weigh much but what do they say in the classics it all adds up we just take we take we take we take and yeah I'm probably going to get comments again saying uh I'm surprised you haven't broken your back window well it's all about how you pack it in and you know but it doesn't surprise approach before I did one day but not yet [Applause] [Applause] huh as a half a laptop the best half still have two nice little RAM sticks in there wonder what they are they Corsair they're nice gaming kind of don't look like for gigabyte RAM sticks that's alright Sony motherboard that was bonus that's the other half we don't want ah yeah look at that car Salomon we're just throwing scrap steel how's that for a nice slick holiday Wow [Applause] eyes another one even bigger one a gigabyte three fans wow that's a good box a nice clean copper wire that'll do nice to find clot nice bright and shiny copper wire like that keep getting the workshop oh it's heavy oh wow look at that a whole set even got dice two packets of playing cards all the chips Hey complete I've gotten one before but it wasn't complete let's play poker Wow awesome they haven't even opened up the packet so this one's open one packet still sealed Wow that was a nice little bonus deep fryer or something just a VCR scrap-metal keyboards but no pcs I'm happy with my poker set set you Scotty send it to scrap metal I'll scrap that DVD out first so one of those fridges it's got a nice little copper radiator copper aluminum nice it's cute bit damaged some copper on it we'll take it see what we can do if it looks like someone's already taking it out for some reason because all they just did I put it back take them down doesn't weigh anything that's a nice set-top box picked at the scrap out so I've got a couple of little cavities left not a lot and yeah I think we might get a bit of a feed out of that so I think with Michelin mission accomplished so here we yes modem yep cable is another matter oh yeah here we go bathroom scale Cairo he's a bit of good steel honest heaps of stuff it's a nice DVD actually same son looks damaged will scrap it anyway I just move up [Music] whatever good look around yeah because there's been a few things this weighs a bit state no matter board what's this odd PlayStation PlayStation 3 Oh beautiful PlayStation 3 that's some of those cables that I put might be for the police there hey we've got his playstation guys PlayStation 3 I'm not sure if I actually got a PlayStation 3 don't know how old the PlayStation 3 is awesome doesn't want to stay well it's got to be something else in here I wasn't pumped as a cable that might be for the PlayStation hey FIFA 10 PlayStation 3 modern warfare the call of duty there's no CD in this one is there anything in the FIFA and that that's a shame FIFA 13 and that there's no games nice pencil oh here we go FIFA 11 anger management just make sure the games aren't in there snatch all right FIFA 11 there's no case for FIFA 11 so I will use the FIFA 10 oh well this will go one soccer game so though obviously you like their soccer there we go control panel looks like this one might have been a bit damaged yeah I'll keep that just a little speakers there's I think that's the cable for the PlayStation there's another one that's a Samsung Oh pity that the games weren't there I can't be bothered trying to get there the wire often how up I'm glad to look there I'll take the lead singer all empty and then slot card I'll take the hard I think we're done awesome PlayStation 3 Hey well there you go actually a nice DVD but it looks a little bit broken and yeah I'm not sure if I've ever picked up a PlayStation 3 before so it's a really nice heavy machine I like it at least we've got some controls and one game just so I can test it out and stuff like that yeah oh well that was a bonus didn't expect to get it this far into scrapping tonight but I'm glad I went through that box and all that stuff yeah really good awesome so I've got some laptops and PCs really good Dell PC I got my poker set and I got my PlayStation 3 even got some nice graphic designer pencils you know still come in handy gray legs Digital artistics these are nice speakers yeah yeah yeah it's huge one day isn't it all right Sherwood amplifier really nice said the wolf is really good but well I already got speakers and okay guys well it's time to head back I'm reasonably full I thought that was enough there's my Park and ya just scored so many great things and it was strange because today I was you know doing the you know scrapple starve challenge so it was all about scrap steel but you know you can't give up good stuff when you come across him so I had to I had to take the good stuff as well and yeah so um I'm home now and just looking forward to I think I'm going to leave the van out the front here for a while so I can empty out some of the good stuff and then head to the scrap yard tomorrow because the scrap yards closed now so I won't be able to do that today but yeah just all this stuff at the front here some pcs a really nice red Dell the nice laptop i7 CPU should be a really good one I've got the poker set and yeah the PlayStation 3 awesome and the really nice what is a Sherwood Dolby Digital amplifier it's really heavy nice wonder so I just got to check out the part number and and see how we go all I'll do for now is I'll just take out all these good stuff and and that car at the back remember that pink car so I've got to take that out because I don't want to take it to the scrapyard and have to muck around with it so I'll take my playstation stuff hey hey all right so that's it for now and I'll just take out the car and have another look at it and then we'll head to the scrapyard as you can see I've got a lot of starting to build up a bit of scrap bit of stuff to process these pcs that I picked up through the week I've already gone through most of them scrap them out so so I'll put my PlayStation here got FIFA 11 all right I'll go and empty out a bit of the van okay so I've got to get this box out so I can start throwing most of this stuff back up the front and I'll try and get some pcs out while I'm here - like this one here just needs to take out all these things and I can throw the rest into scrap metal so I got quite a bit of scrap metal and I think the the mission is complete I think we're going to get a little bit of money to you know buy some food that's the whole idea was we would go out there and scrap all we starve so I'm glad I put this car at the back here so I can just take it out like this it'll be a bit of awkward going to the scrapyard and trying to take it out it's a nice pink and there's the seat your wheels still in packet so it's all brand new hasn't even been put together I'm not sure how to put together surely all your little mirrors so the whole thing needs to be put together but I'll put it online and see if I can pass it on to someone because here as I was saying when I was looking at it no one was going to pick it up probably even look in the box so tomorrow morning the garbage truck would have just you know grabbed it and thrown it straight into landfill you know and it's just you know a lot of plastic going into landfill for nothing and you know seeing though it's in the it's a ride on car so you know it works battery-operated all right so I've got a couple of little bits and pieces that I can put it to back here and um fill up a little bit I've just got a few empty pcs but I'll probably just scrap out a couple of PCs that I picked up here before I go to a scrap yard so now all that's left is to get a scrap yard cache me and see how much we actually got and yeah and that's it so I guess you'll see me at the scrap yard this still doesn't want to hang in there all right I put a few our towers that I scrapped out they're just empty there's no there's nothing inside them now so they're they're not very heavy just to get rid of them all right well I'll just wait for a bin and I'll start sorting some of this out I've got a couple of PCs that I'll have to scrap out so I'll have my drill ready [Music] [Music] [Applause] [Music] I don't know I might just keep these [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Applause] okay this I'm leftover goodies kay baller a ceiling fan some modems alright [Applause] [Music] might do too small that one one full bin of scrappy okay so this completes our scrap or staff challenge and hope you had a little bit of fun with this yeah if we don't get to eat much well we still had a lot of fun and we got some really good items that I'm really happy with I've got a few pcs at home you know got the PlayStation a couple of laptops and some goodies got the big car so yeah it's been good it's it's fun and well if it gets down to our serious stakes where you've got to actually scrap or starve well you know a couple hours out of your time and you know you can make a little bit of money that's going to feed you for the day and at the same time get some stuff that you could sell over the next coming coming weeks or stuff that you can scrap out and maximize your your scrap value sorry going into the compactor crush it all up okay well yeah still got a lot of stuff some good value here as far as cords and stuff so let me just get out of this driveway yeah so I ended up having 532 kilos so over half a ton pressing still at 15 cents a kilo which is about standard $79 8000 for a couple hours of picking up scrap steel $79 and 80 cents and you know obviously we've got all those pcs and a few things we can sell the car and the copper wire and some other copper bits so you know overall you know I don't know what the value of the other things were but like that Dell computer is a good one might get a good CPU out of the gaming console you know that might be worth $40 just there the laptop I thought it was the i7 it's a high five I think it was a Dell laptop but still for an i-5 the laptop I can get thirty five forty dollars just as it is no power supply no testing nothing and yet so oh well scrap a staff challenge we've completed it $79 80 to go and buy instant food and yeah for that money we can we can certainly get a a few good meals alright guys well keep scrapping have fun and I'll catch you next time
