so if you've ever tried to resize an object in SketchUp with the scale tool you know that it can cause cause issues because it can distort your geometry sometimes you need to scale from a certain point without changing things like trim or other things like that on the side of your object luckily there's a tool inside of Fredo scale that allows you to do this called box stretching what box stretching does is it allows you to set a reference plane that you scale from allowing you to Scale based on a point without deforming the rest of your geometry you can also do a from Center and scale symmetrically by setting the scaling plane allowing you to scale in multiple different directions at once this is great for things like cabinets but also for things like Windows that have framing pieces around the outside you don't want it to form if you want to learn more about all the tools contained inside a Fredo scale make sure you check out my ultimate guide at the SketchUp essentials.com Fredo scale guide
