[Music] welcome back to my channel guys today i'm going to be showing you how to make this quick and easy savory mint recipe if you are new here please don't forget to hit the subscribe button and the bell so you don't miss a single recipe from me all the measurements will be available for you in the description box below so we're starting off on a skillet and i've got some lean mint inside my pan we have not added any seasoning to it we're going to start off by just cooking our meat and then we'll season it once everything is nice and cooked so i'm cooking the mint at a setting of number four so that is a medium-high heat just to get the mints nicely and completely cooked through so while it's busy cooking through you can also just give it a quick mix just to make sure that all the meats get cooked and then also you need to sort of um try and separate it as it's cooking so you can have those fine little pieces of meat but if you do want yours clamped together that's completely fine so i am using lean mint so i don't have to drain any oil if you're just using your normal mint or your ground beef you will have to draw drain the oil out because you don't want to flavor your mint and then drain the oil because all the spices that we're adding will then just be lost from your mints so if you're using ground beef you can then just drain the oil and then you can continue with adding some garlic flakes and then after that i'm going to go ahead and add some steak and chop seasoning you can use any steak seasoning that you have on hand it can do just the job we're not adding too much of it and then next i'm going to be adding some bell peppers i've got green yellow and red bell peppers and i've also chopped up some onions so we're going to add those in there and then we're going to allow those to cook until our onions are translucent so we just want our onions to cook through so to facilitate this process we're just going to give it a mix to evenly distribute it inside our pan and then we're going to flavor our veggies as well we're going to be using some curry powder and i'm using the panko masala curry powder you can also use the robertson's medium curry powder i also recommend that then i'm just going to give that a quick mix just to evenly distribute everything inside the pan and then once we've distributed it we're going to allow that to sit and cook until our onions are nice and translucent so now our onions are fully cooked through they are nice and translucent we're then going to add more flavor onto our ground beef so basically i'm starting off with some beef stock cubes and i'm going to add those in there and then i'm going to add a little bit of water to help dissolve our stock cubes and also just to add a little bit of sauce onto our savory mint and then to that i'm going to go ahead and add 50 grams of tomato paste [Music] so once we're done adding our tomato paste i'm just going to give it a quick mix just to evenly distribute our tomato paste inside that sauce and then once you're done with that portion we're just going to allow that to simmer for about five minutes just so that the tomato paste can cook through and then while it's simmering i'm going to be adding some paprika so the paprika here is also just again i always say it's in my videos it's just to add and intensify the color so we just want to intensify the brown color that our mince is going to have at the end so we're going to be adding that paprika in there so i've added the paprika and i'm going to give it a mix just to evenly distribute it as well inside the skillet so up to this point i have not seasoned anything in terms of adding salt you can go ahead and add salt obviously we're going to be tasting as we go and i am going to be using the pink himalayan salt i'm not going to add a lot of it because i didn't really want a salty dish but you can add as much or as little salt as you want or as much as you see fit you can also omit the step and just let every everyone season for themselves in terms of the salt especially if you're going to be feeding it to toddlers so then i'm going to give that a quick mix just to distribute the salt seasoning and then just to bring the brown color into our dish i'm going to add a few sprinkles of worcestershire sauce and then i'm going to give that a mix just to evenly distribute it so you can see that we're just adding things step by step bit by bit just to build up on our flavors and then last but not least i'm going to be adding some mixed vegetables and these ones have some sweet corn carrots and a little bit of green beans i'm not adding a lot just a little bit of it goes a long way because we already had our bell peppers in there and i'm just gonna give it a quick mix at this point i'm already switching off my stove because i don't want my veggies to be soggy so i still want a little bit of crunch on mine so because it's still nice and hot i'm going to switch my stove off and then i'm going to let it cook with whatever heat is left behind on the pot so this is what my mint is looking like it's quick it's easy it's very simple to make and it's absolutely delicious i recommend that you serve this with some fluffy white rice and you can also try adding it as a filling to my famous amagunya recipe which i will link in the cards for you thank you guys so much for watching this video i hope you enjoyed it and don't forget to like and comment in the comment section i'll see you guys next time bye
