Saving The 1939 Mercury Coupe From The Rust Lagoon

[Music] hey guys matt iron chef garage and you may remember we went to the field of dreams or rusty dreams well I bought like five cars in one shot and we were only able to pull three of them out because it is kind of wet here two of the cars still remain one is the 41 Ford back there and the other one is the 39 mercury which a lot of you guys guessed we've been waiting for the weather to get good we tried a number of times and failed as you can see this some tracks here that where the machine got stuck trying to get the 41 so today we're gonna try and get the 39 mercury out and we're gonna you know dig out a hole we had to take the 39 hot rod body off the trailer really quick because we just got a call that it was dry enough they had time so come on try and dig it out and get it home [Music] [Music] men shall hit something capito [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] so it's a little bit more overgrown since we were here last there lies the merc hucksters still buried this is about the worst time of year to try and drag stuff out of here well it is dry it's now overgrown it's dry ish first we're here yeah that's not mud anymore how do you still feel about your purchase not excited this thing's pretty junk we will find out so the last time you were here they drugged out hey Chanel like Chanel over here and then we got stuck and we gave up for the day [Applause] [Music] wheel yeah wasn't word what steering well nifty smells like raccoon poop yeah so here's the back end of the month let's see right here 1960 10,000 lakes it's a Minnesota car in a so in a car that doesn't do well for it Minnesota car is also rusty Pennsylvania's are up T only then is up in California right hey you I brought the shovel and we're having a bad time going to junkyards we're getting the broom forgetting the shovel that rear quarters coming off [Applause] [Music] frame broke in half [Music] oh yeah [Applause] summer of bad decisions not all bad decisions does not want to leave the back as you can go Matt that one might be hard to get off the field ah hey my tenant [Music] all right so that was a normal adventure normal for iron trap garage we were working on the 39 Ford and like every weekend here you never know what's gonna happen and we're working on the car get a call that we need to come pick up this mercury because it's finally dry enough to pick it up and get it out and I had to cut it just drop it wherever but we have the car it's rough really rough but it's already got the stance which is kind of cool so with it being such a piece of crap it's at least it's it's right but we're gonna do it like we always do go through the cars see what we find in it see what kind of parts they find that maybe we can resell and then we'll kind of make a decision on what we can do with the car no matter what the score is definitely gonna be for sale we all know that's a lie I'm in the middle of editing this video right now I wanted to interject like five minutes after we shut the camera off Matt was like you know what I should really keep this he's been texting me photos and stuff all week different builds of classic mercury hot rods and customs and it's gonna stay comment below with what we should build a bit should we build a traditional hot rod or would you guys rather see like a tail dragon custom so comment below call Matt AB on his lying and that he's gonna sell the car so comment below and let us know what you think whether I poured it out or try to keep it complete or sell just the body I'm gonna sell the car the whole idea was buying all these cars in the junk there was we were going to keep that 39 forgotten hot rod sedan that we're working on right now sells some of the other stuff keeps some parts to make that car better and I in the in the end hopefully I'll break even and get myself a free 39 Ford after selling some stuff off so this is the 39 mercury coupe swap car is finally home I brought a bee's nest dome with it hopefully most of them are gone we're still flying around don't fake a foot hopefully they're all gone and moon doesn't get his nose tongue hanging out with them but so another adventure Thank You guys fun along as
