Saving Munay, the Machu Picchu kitten

[Music] you [Music] [Music] No [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] save the baby we gotta figure it out we can take them back to Cusco but we fly tomorrow morning he's really hungry so I think we could speak [Music] but then what do we do when we get [Music] I don't know Andrew I'm not leaving this kitten here to get squeezed by children can we find out what the process is to get a cat to the United States to take him to Lima we still would have to maybe include our vets in Cusco he's so hungry we're trying to figure out because you can take an animal on a plane but no you have to have up from here but we don't know how this works he has fleas and he's so hungry he has not stopped eating he has not stopped eating so hungry I'm so glad that we still have captured the children were all squeezing him and passing him around and running down the street holding his next to pass them around I didn't see that well I saw I just started chasing after the child's going let's go gasps because in this fantas bonito I don't think beautiful let's check you out let's take a look at you big girl okay our flights tomorrow is at noon so we could get there by 10:30 we could probably get to a vet before then look I do look pregnant it's a beautiful baby [Music] [Music] one of the weirdest rescues I've ever done [Music] [Music] she's probably never been inside yeah she probably doesn't know inside yeah inside that was a long trip she did such a good job she's good you're smart she's savvy well Machu Picchu kitten huh good job baby girl yeah you're a survivor good job we gotta clean you up we gotta clean up your dreadlocks okay so we went to the store and the only cat food that you can find in this area is food mix it with some delicious tuna in oil and some water alright it worked so now she'll get at least a little bit of hydration and some nutrients some calories she's definitely underweight and probably pretty dehydrated you hate such a big snack she loved that tuna yeah it got her to drink a lot of water okay the neck first please it's okay baby I know she's got so much bleeder but she is really dirty though it's okay okay wash those paws their grimy Wow she has a lot of fleas but they're all dead now I'm just gonna pick them off her with tweezers okay yes woman oh come on her face is dirty - you will have to wash her face separate she's gonna look so close you're gonna look so clean we gotta make you look good for for the airport that make you look nice and fancy we're gonna have to cut some of her hair and we're not this your sponge bath [Music] [Music] [Music] rub my belly what do you think are you stuck [Music] [Music] we like this by this please spare the cap for arrival [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] I remind you to be careful enduro babies overhead bend but certainly wouldn't want you or anyone around you to be injured by items that may fall this crazy we got through customs we got back to DC that's one of the craziest thing bienvenidos welcome to Washington DC little girl I'm so beautiful [Music]

This is the story of Munay Michi who was found and rescued by the kitten lady (Hannah shaw) when she was on holiday in Peru. She smuggled the little baby onto a train and made last minute arrangements for her to get on the three flights on the journey home. Munay is going to her forever home today so I thought I'd share her story.
