is basically more truly defined as my fear of technology i guess um but once zach and i did our kind of our giveaway video letting you know what's going on there um i gained some confidence and thanks to casey from knives fest uh this past week we filmed my first ever channel chat video and this one of course is channel chat with casey from knives fast um it's basically my way of getting my goal is to do it with smaller channels to help them get a little bit more get their name out there a little bit better that's my goal that's my overall goal now believe me i don't have any delusions of grandeur or anything like that but channels my size helped me out when i got started so i'm just trying to pay that back into the community hey benny hey hollywood what's up so it was a lot of fun and but i'm gonna cover but we remember when our good friend didier said he would be sending us a package from belgium when we were putting knives together for stephen you know he was celebrating three months cancer for three years cancer free excuse me so didier there's your knife it's right here the package has arrived so i will be getting that out to steven uh probably monday it'll be going out we're definitely going to be talking about rough rider reserve today this is the rr001 in blue denim micarta this knife is a gorgeous gorgeous knife this easy open razor man guys i'm telling you what the finish on these knives are fantastic the i love i love the arrowhead shield to be perfectly honest honest with you that arrowhead shield is probably one of my favorite favorite parts of the night i swear to god they're just absolutely gorgeous easy open pinch open you've got that one arm jack type of razor leaving fingerprints all over it that's all right oh snuggle tummy thank you man dang y'all are generous thank you so much thank you but yes d2 steel like i said in my video i have made a pact with myself that i am going to try to collect every roughrider reserve knife that comes out and i wanted to make sure that the quality was there of course and trust me the quality in these knives you all know i love my little 15 rough riders i think the value in those knives are there all day long these are on a completely different level and somebody referred to it in my review as gec quality at less than case price and you know that's kind of that's not a bad way of putting it to be perfectly honest with you because these knives i mean this one the pull is probably i'd say you know a five to a five and a half which is good it's not too light it's not too stiff this one this one is this is the least expensive one this one is 39.99 yeah that dent on my card is just gorgeous just gorgeous how sharp is it what oh hey how sharp is that one armed notch oh the notch how sharp is it it's not very sharp at all that's uh right there is a little bit but it's not bad it's not bad at all no no it's really not i mean it's there's an edge there you know you can feel the edge hey jaclyn what's up i know who that is i mean you can feel an edge but it's not sharp it's not dtom what's up dude nice man how you doing who else have i missed nobody i don't think oh i know yeah yeah well double o two again gorgeous gorgeous micarta on this one arrowhead shield again and they've got kind of the satin bolsters they're not polished hey ethan what's up buddy how you doing ah come on it did so well with the other one now this one's not one there it is oh my pleasure monster man yeah this one is a really nice now this is the kayak it's not a canoe it's kayak because it's a little bit bigger and the blade shapes are a little different this is andy's design andy from smokey mountain this is his design now you've got these sort of reverse tantu-ish warn cliff tight blade really really like that one good walk and talk again the poles on this one are probably about a five between a five and a six again you've kind of got matching blades this one 49.99 they kind of step up the zero zero one is 39.99 the zero zero two is 49.99 and the zero zero three is 59.99 so they just kind of keep stepping up so hey glock what's up buddy well i'm glad you stopped by to say hi brother if you can't stay i understand but i'm glad you said hi but yes i mean these knives i mean the fit and the finish it's i mean they are very very nice i mean the the transitions are awesome the pins are flush the shield is flush everything is flush back here you know along the along the back springs i mean my goodness this i don't i don't know if they could have done any better at this price it is a little thick yeah but i like it it kind of reminds me of me so short a little thick yeah it is what it is yeah these are very i mean these are very very well made knives so whatever whatever i mean they're made in china just like the other rough riders but they said they really really searched for a factory that would do quality quality work and yeah they found it yeah i mean these are really nice very very nice oh we'll ambush i'll be showing that one next without a doubt but just gorgeous gorgeous knives what is uh oh what's i can't think of the comedian's name fluffy gabrielly glacious [Laughter] so but of course i can't drink coors light just straight but i put a little bloody mary mix in it oh yeah red beer it's normally red beer back in the midwest it's just beer and tomato juice but i like it with bloody berry mix so again seems like the bigger the knife the less it wants to focus i don't know why but anyhow i mean a fan focus sorry indeed another gorgeous gorgeous knife this one the main blade on it now the main blade is running on both it's two back springs and the main blade is running on both back springs so it splits them but it's very very well done this is the rough rider reserve ethan these are all three rough rider reserve there you go triple r rough rider reserve was it i lo that's very cool i did not know that this blade i love this blade big old thick spear point yeah the swell center whittler you've got the swell there in the middle and i mean this is a good size knife i mean there you i mean it fills my hand it's a good size knife i mean overall shoot what are we looking at let me measure it real quick with the main blade open we're talking one two three four five six seven almost seven and three quarters inches long with that main blade open so it's a it's a decent it's a decent sized knife walk and talk now like i said it's it's working off both those back springs so it pulls probably a six six and a half in between six and seven hey insta what's up buddy you've got that blade then over here you have a nice slender pen blade also very nice you got the mat strike pulls on this one and then you have a coping blade a decent sized coping blade come on here we go there we go that's better reach around the camera so you've got a decent sized coping blade on there what's the cutting edge on the coping blade is like one inch and three quarters so it's a little bit smaller blade but like i said this one hey rusty what's up this one is 59.99 so like i said they just kind of i don't want them to fall off but i'm kind of want to put them all on the same got the zero zero one the easy open razor 39.99 you've got the kayak 49.99 and then you have the swell center whitler at 59. 59.99 so just some really really gorgeous knives without question and we can't see them too well i'm going to move them down a little bit that one's a that's a good-sized knife doggone it didn't want to fit nice knives guys i couldn't have been any more happier how's it right in pocket i'll tell you right now i haven't carried it yet i have not carried either of these yet i got them i got home i did my video last night um i broke out the husker for the game this morning the game started at 9am so i have not carried them yet uh the zero zero four is a bar back i believe is what is it called and i don't know how much that one's gonna run and correct me if i'm wrong but isn't that another one of andy's designs i believe it is i've only heard him talk about it once so i think i think it is i'm not 100 sure oh cool insta um it's on its way calvin that's the last thing i heard is they just said it's on its way i don't know if they've even arrived yet there was something the production kind of got extended out on that one and it didn't get shipped with these other three so it got shipped at a later point so to my knowledge it hasn't arrived yet yeah he did show it on guy's top knives once and that's what i'm trying to remember i'm pretty sure he said it was his design as well but i'm not 100 about that so it's coming it it's coming i just don't know when so yeah that's what i thought i was pretty sure he said it was his design as well but it's it'll get here i'm i'm waiting for it now i know at one point the the razor um the easy open razor showed that it was out of stock but when i looked earlier this morning it was in stock so i don't know if they had some that they just hadn't got into the system or whatever the case so if you looked at the razor and said it was out of stock it said it was out of stock go back and look again if you really want want it because it showed in stock this morning so something to keep in mind they might they'll probably get there because from what i understand they had these first four and they already have another four either scheduled for production or in production i can't remember they were either scheduled for production they were in pre-production but i think they have the next four already going so that would be what five through eight if they keep going with their numbering which i don't know why they wouldn't but they might they might skip around so they may have that that's a very good that is a very good point jason they may have got gotten some from another seller because i think they farmed them out to places i guess i think if i remember right there was either 400 or 500 of each model made so let's see i'm sorry lisa i'm going back to look at your comment here is the fit and finish better on the rough rider reserves than on the rough riders um consist yes yes i would definitely say yes now i've had some very good regular rough riders that the fit and finish were pretty darn good on it but yes all three of these are consistently what i have seen and the others that i've seen on other channels the consistency has been very very good so oh andy said that that's what had to do okay cool yes oh i will be getting it i will definitely be getting it oh no are you buffering buffering so yes yesterday was a very very good knife day because not only did i get these three gorgeous beauties but i also got this one oh thank you very much zach watching from the beginning at 2x speed all right this is the monterey bay knives old guard this is an absolutely it's wow um laconico and sanford owen it's a dual it's a dual design collaboration it's a design cloud that's the word i'm trying to find it's a design collaboration between ray and sanford now i know in my unboxing at one point i said it was a dual it was a collaboration and then at one point i also said i wonder why there's no name there well that's why there's no name there it's not ray's design alone it is ray and sanford's design so shout out to sanford i apologize i talked to him last night after that i talked to sanford but it is it is a design collaboration between the two of them how do i store my knives i store them yes i have a case yes i have i have hard cases i have soft cases i have table tops i have a wooden case i store them in many many many different collaborations so many different ways that i store them now this is one piece of my card it's got an integrated back spacer on it now they were talking about somebody had said rough micarta in the video and at one point in the video you could see oh where's that now i can't of course maybe it was this way but no though this my carter back here is not rough at all the edges are well done yeah it's not rough definitely not rough at all it's nice and smooth back here hey rhino weigh i don't know i haven't weighed it yet what's it weigh i got weighing in about 6.6 ounces but it carries really really well it carries really well in pocket for being you know for having that sorry phone was ringing and take that off decent retention on it nice nice little blade very nice blade i like this the handle the handle is very very comfortable now i'm not you got these up here now definitely i'm definitely not a bushcrafter no it wasn't you it was my brother i saw it it was my brother now you've got these kind of divots up here in the handle and i'm still i'm still kind of figure out exactly what i would use those for i mean you could you could pinch on it but that kind of leaves you in a little bit of an awkward grip while it does work tough work tough gear how little you want me to measure it i can measure it for you one two three four five six seven eight about eight and a quarter eight and a quarter you're looking at about a four inch handle which is going to give you that four and a quarter ish inch blade so oh i hope you get it brother yeah yeah i got them all up there which one did you get but yeah this is it's a nice and it feels i haven't tried it yet but it definitely feels like it's got a 90 degree spine oh it's k110 steel sorry about that forgot to tell you the steel k110 on that for a chest level grip huh chest level grip although it'd be a good grip for sharpening to hang on to it with a stone that yeah yeah that would definitely help that oh yeah yep the razor the denim micarta one oh yeah i think you're gonna love it brother i really do but yeah it's got a pretty it's got a pretty 90 degree spine on it no borna blades they are in stock i just looked this morning unless they went out of stock again i know they showed they were out do not mess around you order it it's in the mail so but yes these rough rider reserve guys yeah they're to me they're worth every penny worth every penny then of course you've got the double o2 andy's design the kayak full size and m390 yeah i they don't there is just the one size right the the they have the micarta and then they have a carbon fiber version and i saw that the carbon fiber version was out of stock the last time i looked they went on sale wednesday and the carbon fibers were out of stock yesterday and my cartridges were still in stock but i don't know that's that's awesome lavender yeah that's good that did get there quick i mean i'm just right up the coast from them so do i think the blade is too big oh on this one are you talk d are you talking about the main blade on this one on the swell center do i think it's too big no i don't think it's too big at all i love it no i do not think that blade is too big at all it makes it makes for a really good size knife hey sharpen blade what's up another young budding channel in the edc community very good and then of course you have the easy open razor the double oh one as far as looks now i think i like the looks of the the covers on this one the best that denim my card it just looks gorgeous the camera seems to like it better too the camera just kind of like zooms and from all the comments and stuff i think people are liking this one the most from all my car but no not the carbon fiber kayak i'm sorry d i was talking about the carbon fiber on the mbk old guard no they did not have a carbon fiber kayak but that is the one thing about these three knives guys you will not see these three knives in this configuration ever again according to andy and molina you may see you may see the the easy open jack you may see it again but it will not be in denim micarta once these are sold these are sold they're done so they might have it they might put it out in the black micarta or they may put out the kayak in the denim micarta or another or wood or g10 or bone or something like that yes yes that's what they said that's what they said mikey they said once these are gone they're gone they're not going to
