this video will walk you through unboxing setting up and navigating the menu functions of your ceremon blink B2 plus the box contains the charging case which contains two microphones one dual receiver a connector for lightning and USBC devices two transmitter wind screens TRS and a TRS cable for connecting directly to cameras or TRS devices and a USBC charging cable the blink B2 plus Works seamlessly with all these devices first let's set up the B2 plus with your phone simply remove a transmitter from the case which automatically Powers it on then attach the microphone with the clip or included magnet next remove the receiver which automatically Powers it on then remove the protective cover from the back of the receiver and choose the lightning or USBC connector depending on your phone Slide the appropriate connector into the receiver and attach it to your phone a solid blue light on the receiver and transmitter shows they are paired if both are blinking it means they are not paired if a receiver or transmitter is left in the case it will automatically power off and not be recognized open your favorite video or audio recording app and you're ready to record we recommend doing a sample clip and listening back to it to ensure good audio levels and that your microphone recording and output volume are correct for the richest sound [Music] for your camera simply use the TRS to TRS cable connect the output from the receiver to the input of the camera and listen to a test clip to make sure your levels are properly set you can even plug headphones to monitor your audio directly from the receiver no matter what device you are using the microphone is on top so aiming it toward your mouth is best the two holes on either side are for the furry wind screen to click in to reduce high wind noise a single press of the power button will mute the transmitter and you will see it blink red a long press of the power button will turn off the transmitter and it will not light up pressing the blue button will turn on noise cancellation and you will see the transmitter turn green now we're going to quickly show you how to adjust levels before going over all the receiver functions the output level icon and the output level are in the top middle of the receiver screen simply tap the power button to select the output level and the menu button button to adjust it between 0 and 6 this controls the signal level from your receiver to your phone computer camera or tablet and any connected headphones we find that a default of five works best for most devices pressing the power twice will select the transmitter on the a channel pressing the menu button allows you to adjust the transmitter's microphone level between -6 and + 9 if one of your subjects is louder than the other you can change their microphone sensitivity so their voices match once they are recorded tapping the power button again will allow you to select the B Channel and adjust it to match the a channel tapping the power button again will deselect everything on your home screen the home screen also displays your output mode in the upper left the receiver battery indicator on the right the transmitter's signal strength and battery levels the transmitter mic sensitivity and the transmitter's audio meters now let's look at the receiver menu settings press M on the side of the receiver to enter the menu and first you will see output mode while in output mode hold down M to highlight the modes and then tap M to change between mono stereo and safety selecting mono will combine the A and B transmitters so you have one audio track with A and B mixed down equally to left and right channels it is great if you record only one person or two people during a live stream or quickly record a clip to go directly to Tik Tok Instagram or YouTube next you have stereo which is great for recording two people and splitting the Audio To the Left Channel and another on the right channel this is also great if you are recording two people and want to further adjust their levels independently in post lastly you have a safety track great for recording one or two people and having one channel Record 12 DB lower than the other channel in case you may have a major fluctuation in volume such as a person dramatically raising or lowering their voice holding the M button down again will deselect this mode and tapping it will move you to the next mode being output volume output volume is the same setting we discussed previously and is displayed on the home screen to change it hold down the menu button tap the menu button to go between 0 and six and then hold the M button down to lock in your output setting then tap to choose the next menu item noise reduction can be set to weak or strong we find that weak is perfect for most situations here you can hear the difference on a busy City street this is one of the most popular areas in New York I really love to get a green juice before my workout strong eliminates all distracting and background noise next we have the transmitter mute key you can disable the ability for your subject to accidentally mute the transmitter next we have the low cut filter it reduces the volume of lower frequencies like the Rumble of a truck or hum of an air conditioner next is Speaker enable most mics you plug into your phone you have to unplug to hear playback enabling your speaker allows you to play back and hear the audio on your phone's speaker after recording or hear what others are saying using video chat or meeting apps once enabled your receiver will reboot the backlight setting allows you to set the backlight from 10 30 and 60 seconds from the last press of any of the rece receiver buttons hold the menu button to set the language mode allows you to switch between English and Chinese restore defaults resets your system to factory defaults simply hold the menu button to highlight no tap it again to select yes and then hold down to confirm yes is the final setting the system will then reset before pairing please note that every kit comes paired from the factory in pair mode hold down the menu button to select this mode then tap the menu button to get to yes then hold down the menu button to select yes and put the receiver into pairing mode next turn off the transmitter to be paired and then hold down the power button for 5 seconds to power it on and wait until you see it blink normally then rapidly before letting go of the power button then wait until your receiver says paired successfully the version history is the final menu selection letting you know what firm version your mics are on the blink B2 system connects to computers tablets phones and cameras with the included cables simply follow the same instructions needed to connect it to your phone for computers use the USBC or TRS cable going into the headphone Port you can also run the TRS cable from the receiver output directly to your camera while connected to the phone and record both simultaneously if you have any questions feel free to leave a comment on this video or contact our customer support team
