Sandbeach Lake-Wild Basin-Rocky Mountain National Park-Spring Solo-Very Hard Hike

[Music] you [Music] you [Music] got you got who [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Music] moment [Music] [Music] you got to do [Music] you got yeah got [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] well we're almost at Sand Beach Lake it's it's been a lot of up through steep snow that isn't real stable kind of slick ever since we crossed Hunter Creek the second bridge but I'm not giving up now I'll make it even if I'm slow and have to take 20 breaks so let's go to sand beach Lake [Music] finally the lake this is has been such an exhausting hike the snow has worn me out but this is why I did it so I can have these views and I guarantee you I'm the only person out here right now except maybe my friend the moose [Music] well storm clouds are moving in so I'm going to have to head back right now I hope you enjoyed the hike today to sand beach Lake and I'll be catching up with you when I'm further down the trail [Music] [Music] you're at my [Music] [Music] [Music] [Applause] so as you can see I am back in my car at the trail head I had to hike a mile and a half through a thunderstorm but fortunately there was no lightning and I had my reindear with me dry shoes waiting for me in the car with socks so I've already changed my feet are nice and dry I feel great so my mileage today was 9 miles and just over 2,000 ft of elevation gain hiking to sand beach Lake and Sand Beach Lake today it was beautiful but boy was this hike hard especially after crossing the second bridge at Hunter Creek it just went straight up Snow and I had to fight it all the way it was like the trail that would never end so I'm happy I'm back in my car that's what I kept thinking about uh the first important thing is your safety the second is reaching your goal if you can and the third is being back in your car I know you're going home so all in all it was a fabulous day and we will see you on the next take [Music] [Music] oh [Music] [Music] oh [Music]
