Play nice.
I mostly agree with this. The production problems really contextualize a lot of the show's issues. Trying to write the fight scenes first and write the story around them is a recipe for disaster. It's the opposite of how it should be done. You need to put the story first, or it will suffer.
I also didn't realize just how bad some of the early volume's problems are.
The one thing I don't like in this video (along with not aknowledging that killing Pyrrha was a terrible mistake, though the later volumes made it worse) is the idea that Jaune is Miles's self insert. Really? Make all those great and well researched points, then put in something that's been so thoroughly debunked? It makes me question the reliability of everything else. Plus, even if he was, I think that would just indicate that Miles really hates himself.
when you realise a show youβve been watching for 8 years is actually really shit
Never had watched his videos, but this ended in my YouTube. I watched the whole thing and did make me realize somethings that I forgot or just put it in the category of "they will get to this eventually" He is making some solid points, and did not make me dislike the show. I was reminded that I have settled for how the show is coming out. I figured out that I'm a fan of the small amount of lore we get and the fight scenes. I'm glad someone brought up all the issues and used constructive criticism that would help the whole show if used. I really hope that vol 8 is taken in a better direction.
An excellent criticism of RWBY and how much it was butchered by Miles and Kerry.
It's always so interesting to me what people think about this show specifically, because it is never the same. You go on YouTube and basically every video about RWBY is criticizing it in some way (either that or it's a reaction.) But you go and see those reactions and 9 times out of 10 it's the exact opposite.
And I never really had a good idea on why it was so polarizing, because every time, every argument, every video, every random discussion thread, people praise and criticize completely different things. I hear one person praise the writing and characters and then you hear the exact opposite from somebody else. Some people think the fights are cool while others think they're stupid. You look up "Is RWBY good?" and the reviews are all good, the YouTube videos it pulls up are all bad, and every link that comes up leads to a discussion thread that sends completely mixed signals where nobody can agree on anything.
Now, of course, this is a thing with every show, so what's my point here? There isn't really a consensus on what about this show is good or bad or anything in either direction, every opinion I've seen on this show has had its opposite. It really shows the worthlessness of other people's opinions, because in the case of RWBY, you can't get a read on what the show is like by just looking up whether it's good or asking people. It really shows that sometimes people just like different things, and relying on other people to tell you whether to like something is never better than just seeing for yourself and forming your own opinion.
Personally, I think this show is okay as a whole, V7 was great though, if they can keep that up then it'll probably be really good. Anyway, this sort of had little to nothing to do with the actual video, I just wanted an excuse to express my fascination about the polarization this show brings. If you read this down to here, thanks, give yourself a virtual cookie. :)
My post just got removed for asking if it were Beastiality for blake getting boinked by a human
Everything he said is right, holy shit
After watching the whole review, I can safely say itβs the best one Iβve seen. No finger pointing at the fans. Some little jokes here and there, but never got the impression he was being malicious or uncaring. I think the first 20 minutes are my favorite, so if you donβt plan to watch the rest, Iβd highly recommend watching the first 20.
