RV CAMPING SAN DIEGO | MISSION BAY RESORT

[Music] hello there [Music] she's going she's running she's just trying to get to the other side [Music] i'm not crying i've just been looking at the sunset it's so pretty i'm crying [Music] san diego here we come it's been a busy morning though without requiring lots and lots of coffee our last morning at riverfront rv park had to pack up it's about a two and a half hour drive staying at mission bay rv resort uh very popular we'll show you a little bit more of that when we get there when we come back from san diego we got our new park at a brand new rv park also really looking forward to seeing the pacific coast yes oh hey barley are you excited to go to san diego oh yeah okay i guess that's an exciting tip that is crazy please don't catch the rv right like a little wind tornado same tornado [Music] is that our rv park yeah it is you think so yeah it's surrounded on three sides there are a ton of people here it might be a little tricky you got this though expert [Music] okay the plan food and sunsets damn girl you look good in california you look good everywhere that wasn't meant to be offensive i took it in a good way you're just beautiful yeah wow that is quite a view pulling up on contactless wow i was not expecting it to just like open up and there's the whole ocean we just went over a hill and i was like oh my god it's the ocean parking an issue but wow look at this place it's so pretty i don't know if i could be happier right now we're back at the ocean is it too soon to say i'm in love with this place yeah we've only been in san diego for three hours two of those were in the rv well yeah i needed to close my eyes for like 10 minutes grandpa [Music] this is great this is really great [Music] i'm not crying i've just been looking at the sunset [Music] this is completely different than living on the east coast we can see the sun rise over the atlantic which is great i miss uh sunrise yoga but seeing the sunset under the ocean i've never seen it oh my god would you look at that freeze in my hair ocean frizz yeah i could i completely forgot what that was like in the dryers or the heat it's been a while we're getting a shot right now where this couple is taking their wedding photos on the cliff sorry she has orchids for her flowers [Music] so [Music] good morning yeah one good thing about this park is that it is on a peninsula that just out right into mission bay and you can run around it yeah it's like a mile and a half get the heart going keep up how do you feel about that good it's pretty out here it's like a 850 mile it's good it's good for old folks like us well speak for yourself like me so we hear noise that we think is raindrops no it's birds destroying our truck would you look at that and our awning can't even open the door ugh big ass truck needs a bath again i feel like i just got one it did but like this happened in the course of like 40 minutes we are now in la jolla breakfast very cute then we're going to do a little paddle boarding that's a new mission is wherever we go if we can put them in the paddleboard shout out blackfin you make awesome [Music] babe what did you get irish oatmeal it looks really healthy yeah it does what is it bathing suit season that's great yeah dang it i didn't get the memo [Music] so la jolla shorts but it's a tad the problem is that we're supposed to go across this harbor bay area and then around it into the caves but as you can see the waves are splashing and it would be challenging just to even make it past the breaking wave stuff right now we are going to walk around it it's been a while since we put our feet [Music] so okay so we've moved on to paddle boarding plan b we're gonna paddle board right here in mission bay near our rv park electric pump on the way do i look jacked after pumping up that thing yeah yeah it's a workout [Music] captain oreo over here i think the waves make barley a little bit more nervous here it's not as wavy in the uh colorado river okay well so we've moved on to plan c which is the winch is a little too strong to get places with puppies that are bouncing all over the board we got out about halfway into this bay here and just got kind of pushed back towards the beach that we came in on they're chill now but it's only because they can see the floor right there so we're kind of just walking them through the water right down here on the beach edge water feels great there's a lot of people out here in the bay jet ski boats kayaks [Music] [Music] we are at lahaina beach house on pacific beach this is kind of like myrtle beach for us you know being from the east coast this was the beach vibe i was looking for so there was a big old blanket yeah a lot of clouds but hey it's the pacific island i'm happy okay so warm out here at the beach i love it well the bonus is is that i didn't take victoria to a place that it's snowing right but we're at a place where expected floors and sunnies and it's not a little chilly i think you guys made us a little strong i think so too not 90 degree weather like i can't even wear shorts good morning good morning what's on the agenda for the day my love uh i desperately need some food um i think we're gonna go to chicano park we're trying to see seals sea lions oh i forgot uh weather again cloudy so you know we'll see how it all plays out thomas just said the most positive thomas thing i've ever heard him say can you repeat that well the weather says partly cloudy but the way i look at it means that it's partly sunny i can't [Music] hey good morning [Music] look at how huge these are we are in chicano park in barrio logan it's a predominantly mexican-american area it was actually made a historic area in 2016. we've decided that we're gonna get back to victoria's roots today being that she's half mexican that is true why not check it out i mean what they've done some of these murals is really incredible it's very beautiful [Music] hello [Music] i should just take the skateboard out of one of these boys hands and show them how it's really done oh yeah just kidding we are at the spruce street suspension bridge working on conquering fears today what victorious fear of bridges i'm not afraid of bridges i'm afraid of falling to my death below them oh it moves it's a suspension bridge victoria's about 20 feet onto this thing and she looks like she's changing her tune already come on it's not that far across she's going she's running she's just trying to get to the other side she said well if we go across that means we gotta come back across that's where the car is yeah she just bolted she's not handling this well that was nice it's a nice relaxing stroll back across we go are you doing okay there yeah i'm doing great the mandatory uh tourist shot in front of the welcome to san diego mural which happened to be right next to one of the breweries that makes one of my favorite beers yes which is follow me right this way right here oh oh my goodness the belching beaver beaver they make a peanut butter chocolate beer that is amazing and i'm sure if you're excited if you're a peanut butter lover highly recommend you trying it stormy guys does anybody actually know which farming is i don't because i am uncultured it made it to yelp's number one spot and must visit restaurants in 2020 which is awesome because it is a food truck for drinks you got to go next door to the bottle house you want to go the liquor store next to the food truck you need yeah yeah that's what it is i mean even the sign says the good of yourself i like that concept what you got there it's got a julian cider yeah just thought it was appropriate since we've just been to julia not too long ago yeah and we'll link the episode right there for you there wherever somewhere [Music] somewhere do you hear them yeah as soon as we open the car door you can hear the seals this feels like it's in a nature channel like look what are these birds oh my god sea lions and seals i'm hungry too they're huge they're very big they're living their best life right now no we are not taking can we fit one in the rv i just want to be a little rolled up burrito in the middle of them they look so comfy this is part of the cave that we wanted to visit yesterday okay so i decided to go for it but todd's coming in pretty quick here victoria's over here screaming about how i'm about to get soaked i see you oh you saw that look on my face oh my god okay let's go back starting to get wet here i think this one's broken it's been looking like that for like five minutes now yeah he's just kind of stuck right there good so first [Music] it's chilly and cold but baby seals you know [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] do [Music] so [Music] the beach dog beach dummy last stop before we get out of here we got the yuma dragon the trailer behind us do we find good parking yeah is being at a dog park without a dog creepy like it is being at a kids park without a kid just standing around watching all of them there is a bit of creepiness to that isn't one there three okay that was anticlimactic hi oreo [Music] go get your mommy i think it's safe to say they love it here leave sandy he was one of the dogs too well we're at our last stop dog beach and we have officially decided that we love san diego shocker this is really one of the first places that we've been that we're like we could live here yeah at least on this journey i think we said that once before our favorite things about san diego what about you well my favorite thing is the fact that there is both the beach and rolling hills i love just how you roll over a hill and the ocean is right there it just pops out in front of you yeah like oh there it is it's huge here comes the water got water coming my favorite thing was the cliffs because that's we're used to flat land on the east coast from charleston the seals were awesome the seals the field all the food we ate was amazing really enjoyed our rv park mission bay it's on the up and up you'll read a lot of reviews and say it's you know kind of like a parking lot it is but it's a it's a it's a full community lots of people there your other option is camp land which is right across that bay right there it's a really good area it took us probably 15 minutes to get to anywhere we wanted to go uh one regret we do have is not using public transportation because apparently they do that really well but we do plan on coming back san diego for sure maybe i can get a contract here yeah we'll look into it california we might be coming to see you soon i gotta work on that license now [Music] we did a lot of soul searching we made a decision on the way back from san diego we're staying at riverfront rv park the more we thought about being across town and further away from the river especially now that we have our new irocker paddle boards we decided to stay
