Running PHP in Visual Studio Code

hello everyone um i'm gonna show you guys real quick how to set up php in visual studio code it's real simple and only takes a second so to start off let's go to extensions and you need to install intellifence and php server and now that you have those extensions installed what you need to do is follow this quick start guide that's right here and so you'll go to the extensions which are at and we're going to disable the language features so we'll just go to built-in php and you'll i have mine disabled already one other thing we got to do is go into our settings and change our file associations to star module php so i'll just real quick go to settings and file associations i've already added it but just to show it looks like that's the add and this is an edit so you just type in module start on module and php hit okay and you're all set and if you wanted to see what it looked like you can hit the button right there to see the settings dot json file and you'll see that that was added just like it's supposed to and so we're all set we're ready to go so we'll just open up a folder real quick and create a php file so what do we do we're going to do and so we have the new context uh added to the here uh you have this serve project reload server open file stop server so right now we just want to do serv project to start the server and there you go you have it set up like that it's all working and as you can see down here it gives you a visual uh all of this too showing you that something's happened and so that's good that's it and just to prove it we'll just uh say it go this is php and i'll just go reload the page and there you go you're all set you know it took maybe like two two and a half minutes so i hope that was helpful and uh happy coding
