Royal Caribbean - Ovation of the Seas 21 January 2024

[Music] good morning welcome to cruise day on Ovation of the Seas Royal carabines cruise ship and one of the quantum class Cruisers now uh today we're heading out in the 8 day cruise uh going to Hobart and Adelaide and it's the first time I've been on Ovation if you haven't already watched my cruise from last month on Brilliance of the Seas also raw Caribbean and also Carnival Splender earlier in the year uh so anyway we are about to board security screening has finished and we are now about to get on Ovation now we just get on the gang way and uh onto the ship is my room right there and ready there we go is the entry you come in on okay once you uh come in and all the pineapples are here um I have mustard in D2 oh my Lord the size of this thing it's really beautiful even the ceiling there's Jamie's [Music] Italian and I'm into the retail area the must has been done I'm just heading to Wind Jammer I'm 14 and I think I'll just do a bit of a tour have a quick look around the line to Wind Jammer is tomol blocked so what I'm going to do is just have a quick look around [Music] here uh that KY area this is level 14 by the [Music] way got to drink from the Sky Bar it's heading up 15 uh to the nor star and um have a bit of a look around we got another bar up here that's nobody's using and they we lining up upstairs and there's nice view of the uh Harbor Bridge going to head back inside now this is the uh undercover pool area they got a pool bar nice swimming pool and a couple of large spars right let's head to the salarium and this will be home for the next uh week because uh it's a adult only area and seits me to a te hey guys The Bistro's closed so it's off to the salarium today h sorry the Wind Jammer salarium we go uh back to the indoor pool area this is all level 14 and into the outdoor pool area it's 37° today very warm and need wima before eat oh they got little salad bars and this is actually um I think better than Brilliance in terms of presentation and offering I mean it's massive loads and loads and loads plenty of salad bars here as well all right we got a pork snitel roast beef uh chicken uh there a bit of fish in there and not trying to go too crazy this Cruise inside the Wind Jammer to get seats and the best view in the world and there's nobody here take note people this is the back of wind GMA level 14 bit of panda love going on here now I've just um there's the rock climbing wall by the way this is level 16 and the best way to get to it I'll be honest just go to the back of 14 Wind Jammer and then um head up the rear stairs on the after now the rip cord iFly has already sold out for today from 4 to 7 uh that was quick couldn't even get on it and I'm this is now just gone 12 uh for an 11:00 boarding the Flow Rider uh also is not currently working but uh let's have a quick look and see where we're at on this so the water's going but there you go uh this is the clex um that's the Xbox area up there and we have the bumper cars and basketball court so we have the Xbox up the top there and uh the clex basketball courts and bumper cars and if you turn around this way there's a bit of an arcade area doing their mustard this is Jamie's uh Kitchen on level five and I'm just going to head to 270 I gather it's through vintages and looking at this we also have the art gallery uh this is the other side of the prominade or the espad sorry livan and the Art Gallery sort of a smaller Wind Jammer really but um takes us out to 270 can see that go to your connections on your phone of go to Wi-Fi and then you deck six and there's this little area out here obviously a smoker area um but wow nicely spot just between the life wraps okay from level six uh which is where everyone comes in we have Wonderland just across the road there and getting down into five the espan port Merchants uh lap patisserie [Music] [Music] Amber KN zooming the other in BAS beautiful is this hey we have Guest Services uh so we're actually on five uh four at the moment uh which is the main espad and some shots here obviously Kate Spade [Music] Cafe uh La Patisserie [Music] cakes Cafe prominade and that goes to SOS oh h Hello still happier after all these years working here and uh how good is this Coke vending machines all right so they got these machines and you put it in here it's got a chip underneath it put it in there and choose your look at all these flavors and then Coke Zero hit it and eventually it works and then hit the button fill it up and that's it into the Amber and if we come out of the Amber and [Music] egg you have retail shots Sosi this is the flutter wall and as the name suggests if you hit these or interactive where that red dot is is where I am the Royal Theater is over here uh this is level three by the way so the Royal theater is on three and yeah access to four sorry and then coming up here we have the Music Hall and the casino Roy out so let's have a look at the Music Hall it's good to do these videos for you just before everyone arrives in and makes it all crazy how nice is this got to love that Chandelier and we have the start of the casino by the looks of it just before we do okay this is the Casino Royale on Ovation of the Seas and a lot of familiar machines here some of them are a bit older machines and coming into the casino it's one of those key machines you got to get bell ringer haven't seen that one before quick spins I think we had those on um Brilliance of the Seas if you haven't watched my other video it's on the same channel obviously uh we got lightning lightning link very popular uh the four [Music] games now for those that aren't interested in the Casino Royale probably best to flick through this one um we have some table games here I want to take you to there's a few new games I've seen before obviously relit looking at this it looks like craps oh we got lock at link okay so we know these ones um 88 Fortune down the back here locket link you know um and also there's some uh Super Wheels uh you got your blackjack tables here and it looks like they have a oh it's going to be different nomination tables uh 50 to 1,000 some 88 fortunes that's some uh full handles there and uh Tri 7s here we go there's some uh bull rush uh sorry Buffalo gold some more Dragon links Mega links uh there's some $25 blackjack tables here normally from experience they have also um $5 tables as well uh there's your cashier uh we got our bar here as well um oh we call these dancing drums I here they call Double blessing got your host desk don't know blunt Bonnie and Clyde tropical Splendor a new one I do know this one from uh Carnival Splendor go watch my Splendor video 50 Platinum fre games never heard of it ah we have the old coin pusher and of course that's got the US dollar in it as uh the whole casino is us you just inser insert your C pass or your cash and these are all different games as well I haven't seen before secret power symbol so we'll give them a shot and see if we can win some money and pay for this cruise and there you go 4 minutes of Casino Royale on the casino we have shik big big big big big place my Lord very big other side of shik we have Grande looks like people are having dinner here lunch here which I didn't know they were doing it's a nice looking restaurant and extends all the way back this is silk it's got a bit of an Asian theme going on about it all in red and they're just doing preparations for dinner level six and they're still getting the rims ready that was um 6594 and 6592 okay I have a solar cabin and it's room 6250 so this is a tour of 6250 now this is a solo cabin on evation of the Seas I'll take you through full length mirror here here a double bed some cabinets at the top got your television here you got some power plugs uh American by looks of it uh and light switch on that side got a little tiny cupboard here in a kettle teas and coffees Etc this will slide open now this is obstructed view but as you can see from the balcony it's not much of an obstruction is it I think the ones to get some obstruction are here but as far as um obstruction goes in the view that's not that bad coming back in to my little solo cabin light switch here sink SPAC is there for items to add to that they have uh Penny of cupboard space here some extra towels oh we got a top cover here dinner topper a bed topper rather mattress topper and I notice in here that we have a safe more and and a little bar fridge as well which I haven't worked ah had to work yet and draw with menus I think the um the salarium is probably my favorite at the moment place a it's not busy uh this is boarding day so serious you just go to the vistro and then come down here and you have the best views in the house and you got empty chairs and you got spars and it's much bigger than this video allows me to fit in and it's all yours and there's nobody here and it's day one and it's quite massive so there you go there's the Harbor Bridge I mean the Opera House how nice is this and that takes you through to the um outdoor swimming pool which leads to the indoor sorry indoor swimming pool leads to the outdoor swimming pool and uh one Voyage people and in the background I don't know if you can see it I'll zooming is Virgin that's uh resilient lady here we go that is one group of people I'm sure we will meet them it's a 50th celebration from According to the [Music] [Music] shirts this is all on Deck 14 by the [Music] [Applause] [Music] way the North Star is operational how however it's all fully booked and I got on at 11: so God knows how but they booked it straight away let's talk about the bionic bar uh the way you do it is you come to the little iPad and you flick your card then you put your year of birth none of your business and then hit okay oh it came up anyway so there you go it checks your age and then it has bionic Classics you can choose drinks alcoholic or non-alcoholic good afternoon ladies and gentlemen and again welcome the beautiful these are the alcoholic choices for example but there are others there's also signatures signature drinks and then you just choose it and if you want to know what's in it like for example a Jack Frost which is non-alcoholic it's Sprite sweet and sour ice add it to your and Away you go and log out and that is the B bar and then it just tells you on the screen here which is like a mirror where your order is I know you can't see it but I'll flick around here the current wait time is 5 minutes and 7 Seconds and there's a queue of seven drinks to be made there you go giving it a stir there you go the card there's your drink okay my drink is ready so what I do is I just tap and then the drink comes forward and Ona this is inside of sentos uh this is a couple of pizzas here um one is the pepperoni and the other is Americano that is a very good pizza I had no idea I heard um people talk about it but fantastic two sentos is Cafe prominade and it's basically um a range of uh coffee teac CF regular lavanza coffee and a number of little cakes and biscuits and things and they're all complimentary how cool is that just above the uh amber and Oak is the skoa bar which I'm Brilliance to the Seas is just incredible let's have a quick it's much smaller more quaint almost different experience completely it's got the name but it hasn't got the look okay well I'm in the main dining room but we are just passing uh Virgin uh radiant oh sorry resilient lady and I just wanted to show you that cuz right now we are in here there you go so that's going uh that's just not tendering but it's sitting out in the harbor at the moment and what will happen is we've just left Port so they're going to take our position the shrimp cocktail strip steak and this is the prime rib it's the New York cheesecake self-explanatory dinner is over the North Stars stagnant uh and that in the distance is Sydney [Music] have [Music] yeah [Music] I them just heckling down well welcome aboard I'm Dave um I was at dinner tonight there was a couple beside me and the woman and the couple said oh there's a comedian on tonight Dave Kalen could be nice good morning and welcome to day two we are currently on our way to Hobart and I'm sorry about the wind but that is just insane how much is this this is really rough not rough but you can tell that's that's a hell of a swirl and it's always a lot CER but you can see the Mist in the air so we have a whole day till tomorrow morning we arrive in Hobart um let's get on with today's activities the wall or something now then turn the whe all the way to one side go backwards and then turn it back and they start [Music] going I think this was fantastic fun although the line get in early because the line goes all the way back there all right if your car's not moving that means you're do something wrong you're going to press the yellow part of the and upstairs is the um air hockey ping pong and on above me is the ping pong as well and the Xbox the Wind Jammer in the morning cuz it is insane hold on that took me three laps of the Wind Jammer to even find a space and as it was I found at the rear of the wind Jamma which it's a bit of a crappy day there you go okay that was not a great experience to be honest um it is so crowded in here that you w you will struggle to find a table [Music] um and yeah probably uh the busiest Wind Jammer I've ever seen but it is day two so we'll leave it at that okay the issue is uh if you're a Solo Traveler uh they do have tables like this but honestly there's this many people on the cruise ship in a Wind Jammer that's about the same size as Brilliance um you'd be struggling to find a chair a table rather as I did Solarium vistro there are empty tables so here's my recommendation forget about the Wind Jammer and just come to cian this TR because that was a nightmare now the boat is doing a bit of rocking today can you once again we have 20 Quest trivia and we're at number seven and it reads in what city would you find the only Royal Palace in the United States of America moving on to question number eight who was known as Norma Jean Baker all right you can obviously pause this that is the uh the menu current menu as of January 2024 and this is the garlic bread and I also got a side of the Truffle Aaron Chini I think those bread rolls are fantastic um open it up and loaded with like pesto and these are truffle as you'd expect um filled with um mozzarella beautiful sauce with that that's actually a really good [Music] meal and the Sue chef at um Jamies and we got Oscar here as well and yeah the post this is uh the lasagna and this is a half serve there we go that is is the charg um broccoli to go with this all right quick review that garlic um broccoli is fantastic and this full of flavor loads of cheese um that's a full serve not a half ser and yeah I'd say it's a pretty good good choice all right what would you choose uh we have recommendations and here we have the chocolate brownie and there was a bunch of choices but to be honest um went for that okay if it looks very rich it is um but delicious that caramel popcorn that's fantastic so this is charades today we have what do you think a bunny rabbit dog dog it's a dog it's a puppy bour today we are going for the taste of France and it's foral night of France okay this is the grilled chicken breast and this is the uh Guinness pie and this is Peter and next time I'll show you re that's the creme Bret sorry I took a bite and this is the profiter
