guys welcome back to my channel so today i just thought i'd do a really short video of this roland pro uh lens clothing cover this is what they call it this particular pattern uh is number 10 they don't call it you know like real tree or moth silk or anything like that so you just pick the best pattern that you're looking for and it gives you a number and that that's pretty much it uh what i'm going to tell you is that this uh consists of some of the pros and cons that might be a deal breaker for you uh they weren't so so bad for me but they might be for some people depending on what you want to invest your money in and what you're looking for this lens is the contemporary it's a sigma 150 to 600 millimeter lens and so that is the model lens that i'm using this with um so let me just go ahead and show you right away what surprised me and i didn't realize it was gonna be like this but it's it's it's okay so it's velcro i was thinking that these pieces were cut and you know and that they were stretchable more or less like you know neoprene and you could just kind of stretch it and pull it over the lens and each person each piece would just you know fit on there nice and snug well that's not how it is and you're saying well how come you don't have a piece here well i'll show you that so in my camera bag this is the the piece that fits here now the only way you can get a full extension of your camo by having your lens all the way out to 600 millimeter is by not having this on there once you put this on here you cannot zoom it back in so if you plan on shooting at 600 millimeter the whole time you're shooting um you might just leave it off really i'll take a bit of my camera bag in case i'm i need i'm going to leave it out there but most times i'm not another thing is is uh it's numbered as you can see that's got number three on it's just a little sticker you can put peel it right off but each piece is numbered so this be like number one your number two number three of course and then right on down i think a number you get all the way through seven and those little stickers come right off and just pull them off um so that might be a problem for some of you guys it's not really too big of an issue for me because you know i'm an amateur if you can even call that you know i just like taking wildlife photos it's not really that big of a deal it does break up the camera for the most part so it's no big issue i know i'm most likely not going to stay zoomed out at 600 millimeters the whole time so i usually it's just in my bag um but yeah so each piece is on there really tight i said you can pull that you pull on there just as tight as you want it and it seems to fit right um i think i've seen some covers uh i guess you call it a cover or you know lens color or clothing whatever they want to call it i think i've seen something have like a plastic over this i guess to help protect it it does say this is a rain cover um i don't know how well it's gonna protect your lens without a little plastic piece of it so that might be a game changer for some of you guys uh if you got the contemporary lens and i think maybe the support lens too has this little locking mechanism so you can lock your lens that doesn't get that drag on it you know if the lens is hanging out and you know starts to you know pull in and out um another thing that these two pieces here of course are not velcro uh it took me some work to get this on the uh the hood cover here this was this was uh this was something get that on there because that's not really stretchable a matter of fact really none of those pieces have any kind of really stretch to them so there is this really to get it on you got to work it so i had to kind of work this for a while to finally figure it out almost gave up finally got it on there this piece here if you want to get this piece on here the best way to do that is to pull it from the very end of your lens slide all the way up because it is beveled here at your lens so you can see that where it's beveling uh so you want to do it that way and just pull it you know as tight as you can and get it get it all the way on there um let me see what else let me turn the lens around so you can see the other side let me show you uh i'm just going to call it the underside of the lens or the undercarriage you can see where the velcro meets up there so you can see kind of how they come together like i said not a really big deal but it might be for some of you and then as you can tell down here those are the last two pieces there and they're not velcro you just gotta put them on really tight so like i said this is the review i didn't really see a review on this i got it on amazon it cost me like i think like 69 or some change and then by the time i stayed shipping everything which i didn't have to pay paper shipping because it was prime but the taxes was like 73 dollars or something 73 dollars and some change no biggie and i know there's more expensive ones out there but it depends on what kind of money guys you want to put into it and what you know your investment on the property that you've got you know i'm not a professional photographer i do this because i love doing beyond the woods i love wildlife photography that's why i got it but anyways i just i didn't see a review on there for the rolling pro perhaps there is one on it on youtube but i just didn't catch it and i struggled with this when i first put it on so i was like man may i go to youtube find something i just i didn't find anything maybe there is one i just didn't find it but anyways there you go guys that's the uh kind of overview of the roland pro picked up off on amazon guys and uh appreciate you tuning in come back and see me now
