Rod Parsley - God's got you covered

I've got something in my hand that I woke up with on my mind two days ago just out of a stark and deep sleep I just rose straight up in the bed and God said this to me I've got you covered and I remembered that all the way back in nineteen or in 2004 yeah nine years ago 2004 God gave me this revelation I don't know that I've ever even shared it with our congregation how many of you do not have this hardback book called God's got you covered you don't have it well you're about to get it it's an $18 book put five dollars in your hand if you don't have five dollars take one anyway if you don't have a five and you got to attend give a ten so somebody else that's taking one free it'll make up for it but if you want I'm going to preach from it today listen because in these troubled times we need to know that God's got us covered I said God's got you covered he that dwelleth in the secret place of the Most High I'm not going to get there yet let me give you these chapter titles key number one be born again to the bone number two become bold in the Holy Ghost hold up a $5 bills and they'll put one in your hand never lose sight of eternity chapter four be vigilant after five stay in touch with the Holy Spirit chapter six realized spiritual warfare is the only true war number seven learn your weapons number eight live in the radiance of the power of God number nine know your enemy's strategies chapter 10 receive local church power 11 diligently guard your family number 12 get set in the church 13 pray always 14th guard your heart 15 worship God 16th fear God alone 17 hold fast to the word of faith 18 avoid the lap of Delila know but 19's my favorite don't ever quit number 20 reflect the Christ's life it's all right there in the book I want to share it with you and we're going to get started if you have a Bible and not a book turn your Bible to Psalm 91 and verse 1 Psalm 91 and verse 1 alright give me 20 minutes can you hold on for twenty minutes twenty minutes um if you want a book hold your hand up all over thee get him out get him out get him out get him out get him out Psalm 91 he that dwelleth in the secret place there is a secret place in God say yes I said there is a secret place in God he that dwelleth in the secret place they took Jesus in Luke chapter 4 out to the brow of a hill they were about to throw him over they were counting one and two and three and when they went to let him go your Bible said he passed through the midst of them your Bible says there is a place in God where the evil one touches you not how would you like when first of all you ought to get a shouting when I say three about all the things God protected you from that never even got through I have said three yet one two three somebody needs to thank him for the cancer you missed somebody needs to thank him for the semi tractor-trailer that went through the intersection 30 seconds before you got there somebody oughta thank him for the disease you never had to get cured from somebody oughta freak him that your children are live somebody order thank you that when you were in that foxhole in Vietnam that bullet coming at you took a life in turn somebody thanked him he that dwelleth in the secret place of the Most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty I will say of the Lord he is my refuge he is my fortress he is my God in him will I trust your Bible said some trust in chariots some trust in swords but we will trust in the name of the Lord for the name of the Lord your Bible says is a strong tower and the righteous run into it and they are saved when you in that home in Moore Oklahoma and every home around you is reduced to rubble and you watch in pastor rod were silent no more videos and you know how to pray in the Holy Spirit that's strong with those teeth coming at you has to move the other way they ran out of that home they were 200 yards from that school and their daughter who was in the military a partner she is a full-time woody what do you call it reservist be a full-time reservist and she ran out of that little closet she said all we could hear were the screams of children she took that military training and praying in tongues she ran across what used to be a street up over what used to be homes and started pulling children out of the rubble I'm here to tell you God can keep you from falling he can make your feet like Hinds feet leaping from one mountain to the other don't let somebody tell you that God that saved you cannot keep you if he's saying he can keep you if his yoga he can deliver him if he delivered you he can protect you somebody go like this and shout he that dwelleth in the secret place now shout unto God with a voice of triumph first John 5:18 he that is born of God oh I wish I had time right there he that is born of God I'm going to a prophetic called reality here just in a minute he that is born of God shout born of God Nicodemus came to Jesus by night and said master what must I do it's in Chapter 1 to be born again or to receive eternal life Jesus said hey user-friendly seeker-sensitive backslidden preacher find John chapter 3 in your Bible Nicodemus came to Jesus by night and said what must I do through receive eternal life sufficient in quantity superior in quality what must I do to receive eternal life and Jesus not denominational headquarters not the preachers convention not how to grow a bigger bigger church seminar Jesus said you must be born again may I add to the bone I'm not talking about a decision the problem of the modern church is we have decisions without conversions my Bible says if any man be in Christ he has become not metamorphosizing he has become instead Dainius li translate God I came to preach today translated out of the kingdom of darkness into the kingdom of light by the power of the blood of his cross and resurrection he will have become a new creature a new species of beating you're not just a better you trying to have a better life now you're not just somebody that added a little social event for 45 minutes on Sunday morning you're not one that is just soothed your conscious with three points and a poem you are not one who is satisfied to come once a month you are not one that only runs to the church when you're in difficulty you are not one that everything else is your priority you have become a new species of being if that's you get to shout a new species of being that has never existed before your appetites it's in the book have changed I can't go there just yet I said your appetites have changed your attire I'm not a clothes line creature how you wear your clothes will not save you but if you are saved it will make a difference in the way you lay your vote your attire has to change your attitude Oh would you let me freeze right there just a minute I said your attitude some of you look like you spent the night upside down in a post holder some of you look like you've been baptised in vinegar some of you look like it just bounced off the back of a covered wagon and not the pump not on your head my Bible says the joy of the Lord is monstrous somebody that saved needs to notify your attitude your allegiance is change where I used to go I don't go there anymore aha who I used to hang with I don't know I've got I got a Baptist hang on no that's it I've said who I used to hang out with I don't if I walk it's not cause I'm mad at her it's cuz I just don't want what they want my allegiance has changed on Christ the solid rock I stand all other ground is sinking sand all other ground is himself okay with it I don't to make sure my Bibles not messed up that's what the government's supposed to keep it I thought the church was supposed to keep it I thought his mom and daddy was supposed to keeping your 35 years old move out of your parents basement they'd like some a long time grow up grow up quit buying things you can't afford and then acting like it's your employer's fault quit having children that you can't afford and then make it out like it's your employer's fault I'm talking to somebody right I'm applying who it is your life is not somebody else's responsibility quit watching Oprah and the rest of them who want to make you believe it's always somebody else's fault grab yourself by your spiritual and moral bootstraps jerk yourself up by your own weight greater is He that is in you than he that is in this world take responsibility for yourself take responsibility dad for your family you're not a daddy cuz you can make a baby your daddy cuz you can raise one he that will not provide for those of his own house is not your baby daddy he's an infidel feel like preaching take responsibility for yourself my God in heaven grab ahold of that one verse of scripture I got 9 pages for you today and I mold it to the top verse of the first page but it's a good one John 5:18 he that is born of God keeps himself this is a military day and then the military you better bless God learn to cut up your legs it's quiet it's quiet I like it I was walking down the hallways the other day and somebody that's been given an instruction 14 different times and showed how to do it 10 times still can't get it done and I said to myself well actually I said it out loud I said I don't know how they get the eggs cut up in the morning 25 years old can't make a bed 30 years old can't cook a meal got no job don't know how to believe for one get off that porch stoop there are no jobs there went wandering around in the hood they had no job there brush your teeth comb your hair get your stuff and education make something out of yourself take responsibility for loss I'm preaching good my parents made a determination we're not staying in the back of groundhog Hollow for the rest of our lives my wife's parents made a determination we're not gonna be that the group of of I'll get it we get it Serbians we're not gonna we gonna learn this language came on a boat from Serbia we learn this language we're gonna learn this culture we're not only gonna learn it we're gonna love it god bless america don't you dare join in with a blame America travel America must not become the land of the self-indulgent the self-satisfied the self-sufficient hallelujah they made a determination we're not going to work for scraps all our life my mother cut out cardboard and put it in the bottom of her shoes because of the hole in the bottom of her to walk to her second job my mother and father worked two jobs all my life all my life all my life and my mother still found a way without McDonald's and Wendy's I didn't say Burger King without McDonald's and Wendy's they found a way to cook my sister and I breakfast every morning they found a way to cook us dinner every night walk into their second job do you understand the day you are born of God let me I tweet this all the time you can do eet tell somebody you can do eet come on determined today I'm gonna take responsibility for myself I'm gonna take responsibility for my family but what you learn in the military is you are not only responsible for yourself you're responsible for your brother and and for your sister fighting alongside you today and there you'da throw both hands up and shout God's got me covered now shove your neighbor and say and I got you covered I'll tell them I got you covered I'm praying for you I'm believing for you I'm speaking life into you I'm an encourage I'm a son of consolation I'm here to lift you up pick you up brush you off set you on your way hmm huh all right I'm not through the verse yet he that is born of God keeps himself that was the outer part now you're ready for the shout part somebody say I got the outer part and I'm ready for the shout part are you ready for the shout part here it is he that is born of God keeps himself and the wicked one such as him not I'd shout if I was a presbyterian my god I got a capital I called the second row waving her hand right now hallelujah I dare you to shout to the enemy of your soul so that's your luck dog watch me take touch this get up and tell three people you can't touch this I got a passing through anointing he tries to put depression on me I'm about to pass through he puts sickness on me I'm about to pass through he tells to depress me I'm about to pass through devil you can't touch this God's God me can I show you one thing she said I have two minutes turn your Bible to John chapter three because what God's dealing with here he's dealing with what it means to be born of God oh how was preachers a priestess again I said I wish preachers would preach this again he that is born of God keeps himself and the wicked one touches him not now that is our premise he that dwelleth in the secret place of the Most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty that is our premise Jesus passed through the midst of it that is our premise how is this possible only one way the born-again experience is never it's discussion is never out of place if the born-again experience is out of place the discussion thereof in your church if your preacher doesn't ever talk about being born again becoming a new creature in Christ always pass away new ways come everything becomes new to him if there is not the discussion of a transformation that is sent from another world whereby the old you passes away and a new you is born if there is no discussion of buried with him in Baptism raised again with him in the newness of life a new creature if your preacher is telling you that all you have to do is be a better person let me submit to you do not do not do not leave that church do not walk out of that church hear me get yourself some track shoes and run out of that place run the discussion of the born-again experience my dear dr. Dupree president of valor Christian College must never ever leave the curriculum in every class in every discussion that can be born again its consideration should never be out of place it is the discussion of God's intention to create a new social order of that new social orders message to men that there is only one way Thank You Andre Crouch there is one way one God one book that it is the it is verse 3 jesus said except a man be born again he cannot cannot see the kingdom of God look on down verse 7 don't think it's strange jesus said that I said you must be born again who then is the small who are they what are the attributes how does it happen what does it look like some say are you born again in their answer their response is very simple I go to church well I got in my garage this morning but I'm not a color I used to have a lot of horses hung out in the barn never did become a horse you're not a Christian because you were 10 religious services how's the weight of your own sin ever gone so far above your own head that you could not lift yourself up by reason of the weight thereof if not do not call yourself a fish those who are thus born have died to themselves I don't know why we spend so much time trying to puff up powder up and take good care of what God told us to kill he said crucify the flesh your way your will your opinion opinions are like noses often they are too big and get it everybody's way nobody cares about nobody got no time for that nobody got no time for your opinion especially some 6-foot icicles opinion moaning and groaning and messing about preach the Bible preach the words of Jesus start there my dear preacher I feel like I'm a Dominion King who are thus born well if you turn back over to chapter 1 your Bible says in verse 32 but as many as received him to them he gave power to become the sons of or born of God even to them which believed upon his name all right how are we thus born here's your test to find out whether you're born again or not there's an easy test to know whether you're dead or not stick a pin in it I can tell what areas of your flesh you are dead to because when I preach on it it sticks opinion and if you get all puffed up you like Nathan looking at a needle took the board to get his shots to go overseas and he passed out flat never booth and they hadn't even brought it in yet she just said she was bringing it he wasn't dead the needles you see stick a pin in it are you dead to it do you love everyone I don't know let me put you in a room with somebody I know you don't like let me see how you respond see you're not dead men don't talk dead men don't have opinions dead men don't whine and complain and criticize there are a whole lot of folk that were once dead to themselves that have been resurrected you need to kill that thing again kill your pride kill your opinion okay now now I've gone to meddle in Hebner yeah I'm quitting now she said I'm two minutes over but here it is who are thus born well we can know who are thus born by noting who are not thus born he says in verse thirteen which were born not of blood Christianity unfortunately is not the fastest growing religion in the world Islam is the fastest growing religion in the world which radical wing of on September the 11th 2001 used our own aircraft as missiles and crashed them into the World Trade Center into the Pentagon and into a field in Pennsylvania taking the lives of just under 3,000 of our own citizens on our own soil Islam it's the fastest growing religion in the world Christianity however is the fastest growing religion in the world by conversion because you are not here me born a Christian you are born again a Christian in other words you got to make a determination die to yourself accept the blood of Christ and be born again to become a Christian you didn't get this from your mommy your daddy can't do it for me they are born not of blood they are not born of the will of the flesh what does that mean you can't come to Christ whenever you determined to your Bible says unless the Spirit of God draw a man he cannot come lest the spirit draw him are you listening but all thank God that you are not outside of calling distance today thank God his voice is loud enough his arm is long enough his love is mighty enough to reach you right where you are somebody that's glad he came all the way down that's why Christianity is different than every other religion in the world every other religion is you trying to get to God but Christianity is God Khan descending in the form of his son to suffer on Calvary's cross pay the price for your sin in his own blood be resurrected from the dead to enforce his own will and give you the opportunity to choose life and they are not born again of the will of men I said of the will of men not by your own personal effort not by being a better person not by going to church not by preachers shaking the preachers hand not by having your name on everybody's church role in Columbus Ohio by kneeling at the base of an old rugged cross by coming to Jesus just as I am without one plea but that thy blood was shed for me o Lamb of God I come everyone's standing no one moving every head bowed every eye closed please in reverence to the holy father this day we come before you a needed people father we live in troubled times perilous times Jodee areas in a sexually charged liaison convicted of first-degree murder for stabbing her boyfriend 27 times slitting his throat from ear to ear so deeply that it severed his windpipe into and then shooting him in the head we live in troubled times the tornado this past Monday ripped through Moore Oklahoma stayed on the ground 40 minutes 17 miles wide two and a half miles two and a half miles wide 17 miles long destroying everything in its path third graders who just put their lunch there's sippy cups in their lunch pails and went to school never came home we live in troubled times who among us can forget the effect of 9/11 2001 Ariel Castro been arrested charged with keeping three women locked up in Chains and ropes for over a decade in a home in Cleveland as sexual slaves Kermit Gosnell was just found guilty of three counts of first degree murder for killing living babies delivered perfectly healthy on his aborto area table and all Planned Parenthood could say is he'll no longer harm women giving no credence to the precious lives of thousands of babies slaughtered at his hands we live in troubled times but what about you today's the day to run to the secret place today is the day to be born again and dwell under the shadow of the Almighty I'm gonna count to three when I say three every head bowed every eye closed no one looking around if you're unsure of your eternal destiny and you say pastor rod I'd sure like to be a child of God I'd like to pillow my head tonight with a full assurance that I'm on my way to heaven I'm gonna count to three and if you'll raise your hand we'll pray at the end of that prayer God will bring you into the born-again experience and you will know that you have become a new creature not asking you to join the church not asking you to shake my hand I'm not asking you to try to be a better person I'm asking you today to accept Jesus Christ as your personal Lord and Savior and allow him to give you new life we had bowed every eye closed on three you want to go to heaven and not he'll have life and not death serve God and not Satan pillow your head tonight fully assured you're on your way to heaven when I say three you can be born again a new creature old things passed away all things become new on three raise that hand and let's pray do it now one two three raise that hand one two three four five six I can't count them all I can't count them Oh leave your hand up please leave your hand up please what our leaders care pastors deacons elders faculty staff please find those hands upraised leave your hand raise please someone's coming just to stand by you all the way in the back they're all over the building just wave that hand around a little bit I want someone to stand with you a friend someone to pray with you as we pray leave that hand hi all in this back area there are several hands all on the back back here by the sound booth there are several hands here in the back there hands please as quickly as you can find those hands this is the real War of the ages you know the battle of men's souls everybody pray this prayer out loud Heavenly Father I come to you born a sinner I have committed sins and today I want to be born again I want to be a new creature that has never existed before I want my pass to be canceled and a brand new future Jesus I accept you believe in you confess you as my personal Savior I will live for you as you showed me how come into my heart forgive my sins give me eternal life and I'll live for you as you showed me how I am born again a new creature in Christ Jesus on my way to heaven well if that's you whether you prayed that prayer today or a decade ago let's shout unto God with a voice of time
