box below i would love to help so don't hesitate to reach out rockwall is about 25 minutes away from dallas rockwall is a city right next to lake ray harbor which is one of the biggest lakes that we have in the metro it's located near heath lavon forney royce city and it's on the far east side of dallas and this part of the dallas metro is really growing rapidly in my opinion it's a family-friendly city with lots to do for both kids and adults amazing local and small businesses and obviously you have the lake right there so a lot of people here love the lake life fun fact the name of rockwell actually came from a discovery underground where they found a rock wall the founders of rockwall were actually digging for water when they stumbled upon a rock wall and you know there's still speculation today on whether it was built by ancient civilization or if it occurred from nature but my personal belief is i feel like it's man-made okay there's still parts of this rock in the museum and rock wall as well and there's also a episode about rockwall on the history channel so that's very cool you can check that out the population of rockwall is over 48 000 people and the median income here is over 112 000 just slightly over that and the median home value is 440 000. you can expect a lot of lake activities that happen in this city and honestly the city gives a whole different type of vibe okay maybe because it is a lake city one of the main spots that we have here you guys is the harbor district and here we have the hilton hotel we have nice upscale dining bars movie theater and self-care services such as the salons and spas and they have a cute working lighthouse it's just so nice to take a stroll here with the lake view right there a really nice scenic place to enjoy your evening they also have live music here as well sometimes and let me tell you rockwall really loves live music okay they have it all the time everywhere the place for everybody literally all ages and they have several lake activities as well they have the um dallas fort worth boat riders here as well they have sail with scott so you can just hop on a boat and just enjoy sailing on lake ray hubbard there's people that do fishing here as well they're swimming in designated areas so there's many places to access lake ray hubbard here in rockwall just look them up because you don't want to be ending up going to like a forest trying to get through the lake another place in rockwall that is very popular is the rock wall historic downtown it's an old-fashioned and very inviting downtown with several interesting shops unique food options boutiques and they occasionally have live music here as well a really nice area to relax and enjoy they have a historic courthouse too and every shop that you will go into is unique and special in its own way my only concern is the rush especially on weekends a lot of traffic around this area and especially with the growth that's happening right near highway i-30 which is always jam-packed in rush hour but rockwall has really improved the downtown area and made it more inviting by improving things such as like the roads and landscaping around here so that's good there's also a tons of shopping and dining and entertainment places here near i-30 that's where you're gonna have everything okay it's very busy highway as well the traffic here in rush hour is crucial to have rock wall plazas here from entertainment such as shenanigans what they have like a bowling place a bar escape rooms and more they have restaurants grocery stores they have shopping such as old navy target tj maxx they have dentists spas and just so many retailers you guys in this area is jam-packed so one thing i like about rockwall is there's a lot of trees and green right here now right now you won't really see greenery because it literally just snowed two days ago by the way if you guys are getting any value from this video of vibe here i don't know if it's because it's a lake city or what and now let's take a look at some of the communities that we have here we have lakeside village which is a resort style community with single family homes town homes condos apartments and overlooks the beautiful lake ray hubbard homes have a mediterranean feel and architecture they have a golf course here swimming pool community centers playgrounds and much more now this community was built from 1975 all the way to 2015 and the prices of the single-family homes range from anywhere from the mid 200 thousands to 1.6 million [Music] do [Music] [Music] next up we have is the shores which is one of the oldest and most known communities we have here in rockwall and this community began developing in 1982 to all the way to 2006. now the prices here range from 280 000 to slightly over 650 000 and this is a well established neighborhood you guys and i like that all the houses have a unique style i know a lot of people don't like this kind of stuff but i find it interesting you know every house is different [Music] [Music] and this home right here is priced at six hundred and forty thousand it has five beds three baths and it is 4976 square feet [Music] community also provides a lot for its residents like a tennis court a golfing course they have parks and trails and much more other amenities [Music] next up we have is rock wall downs which is a slightly newer community homes here range from 300 000 all the way up to 350 000 and above and these homes are built from 2017 to 2021 [Music] this home here is 399 000 with three beds two baths and it is 1827 square feet [Music] apart from the shopping entertainment that i talked about they do have several parks here with walking trails and hiking trails as well we have the squabble creek here with lots of trees and creeks as well people love taking a hike here bringing their dogs as well it's a really nice trail system for people that really like doing those kind of outdoor activities they also have the rockwall county historical foundation museum as well and you can definitely go here to learn some history about rock wall which is right next to harry myers park and here they play frisbee golf here they have fishing splash pads playgrounds trails picnic tables and just so much more here it's actually a very big park now rockwell isd rockwall has about two high schools a couple of middle and elementary schools and they're rated a on niche.com aqua isd actually extends to heath mobile city most of fate in small portions of raleigh and dallas and rowlett is like the sibling of rockwall in a way vibes are kind of the same they're both lake cities but they all have their own specialties as well but that's also a city that i'm gonna be talking about so if you're interested in that but yeah the school system is uh highly rated here yeah so they have a nice variety of schools i mean rockwell is not that huge to have like a million schools but yeah they have a decent amount and a lot of families love living in rockwall i mean it has grown quite a bit in the past few years i know that rents are rising like crazy over there but yeah overall you guys rockwall is one of my favorites i love going there it's just like i said it's a whole different type of vibe going to rockwall versus like the other um suburbs the only thing is that i thirty you guys that's like the worst thing ever because the traffic is crazy on that damn bridge so if you're gonna be commuting to dallas you know think of a plan ahead of time or maybe like reroute um in certain times where there's traffic so that's my only major issue i mean you're not too far away from dallas you're about 25 minutes away from it without any rush so you're a good proximity to dallas you like the lake life you guys and you like the scenic views that the lake area provides there's several homes back to lake so you just walk out your house and you see the lake right there and that kind of provides a sense of peace in certain people so if you guys like those type of environments then you're gonna absolutely love rockwall like i said rocco is one of my
