so I I think I like everybody else was surprised to find out that you would do more surprised than myself yeah I'd stop drinking for 20 years and then drank again in vain yeah next thing you know you're drinking to blackout which is kind of like sleepwalking with activities and for that doesn't sound too bad yeah it's the a lot more done how did I get Arkansas hey you're real pretty now did-did-did can I ask you like what was your beverage of choice here alcohol was like a beer wine yeah what do you have yeah and now I realize the only thing for me to do is not drink yeah it's not my friend as they say right tends to make English a second language and and we're there at Ana I don't want to embarrass you or maybe there's nothing embarrassing about it but did I myself you know it's the old sick that's right right there did you get there before that's what I got right here your wake up in the morning have a good ball movement didn't get out of bed Oh how much money have you raised right back with Mel on line two don't know what to do keep on driving through must feel that there's a sense of irony though that he gets the only Jewish highway patrolman in Malibu hello get out of the car Wow God's going told you for death now we so that now there that's a good point there there was an episode and everybody said oh well clearly something's not quite right but but it seems like there were you seem like your deal was more fun was it more fun if it was I don't remember it was it more fun I mean were you like the the life of the party times a thousand oh that's frightening one of those guys naked on the table oh yeah oh you just get to the point where you know if you keep going things won't be fun that's when you say yeah enough bye-bye Eddie no more was don't know I basically just people take time to go mm-hmm and I went to rehab and there were a lot of doctors in there which is always disconcerting mmm but a lot of doctors as inmates as inmates as yeah as inmates and that's always if they can't help them shell well what are you oh brain surgeon whoops yeah whoops whoops what were you doing I was there was there and I'll move on here in a second but was there okay we're having a lot of fun it's a bit like a colonoscopy with a crew you know the crews hey hey what do we need the sound they suddenly wanted it is it is there anything you look back on and say you won't believe the thing that I did one time and then I said to myself that's yet it was what there was one of those well no I don't think there's one of those and if there was this is a good place to share it just among friends you've earned a couple million people going yeah I was a night with Dick Cheney we just shot him you just if you keep track if you you know I realized that I was uh violating my standards faster than I could lower them Wow oh that point at that point you go ah and you stop and then you likes a little it's quieter now so uh and then you go away to the thing the thing yeah the thing that's what we call ya and ya welcome to the furnace did you go by yourself or you need to take me your family from I brought tea can I bring my dog the dogs gone oh I don't drink oh no you go away by yourself are they are they nice to you they're they mean to you oh well you mean like what's that oh yeah yeah even think alcohol Wow hold on I'm getting an email what is the daily schedule what do what do you do is it I just don't drink that's the nice thing they just every day just don't drink and then after that it's activities yeah nude volleyball so basically you just just sit there net you just get going and then you get ready for life and then you get out and you come home going how are you yeah we just slowly go back oh hi Dave Robin nice to see you now we had and I don't mean to compare other than you're both humans we had Andy dick on the show about a week ago the dick yes and and he's been in and out of rehab like seven or eight times oh the revolving door bags right yeah yeah and he he said I said well are you an alcoholic and he said no I don't think I'm an alcohol is the whole thing that can be you know you can say you're a functioning alcoholic which is like a paraplegic lap dancer I mean yeah you can do it yeah hi you know you want it this is the whole idea of you know okay yes we're splitting hairs at that point oh it's uh max yeah yeah splitting thighs so so that then what we have what we've learned about yourself is that you'll never drink again all right man take it day by day you don't drink again that's right this is a day and if I do I'll be on your shoulder so what's it wasn't it was this is water let's hope and it's so much better for me it's you know like it was for 20 years I was like that it now and what kind of perspective does this give you to the Mel Gibson situation a distant one even um people think that we've been in contact but it's very difficult because I have Jewish agents you know I'm done or people Oh No sad isn't on this high holiday will be running bells through downtown Beverly Hills a day of atonement and reser concision but uh in that situation well what is that situation really all right I don't know we're not that closer than key anarchy yeah yeah I wish I could call him but you don't know where he'd been right now but what whatever else is going on there it is certainly testament to the power of the drug the power of yes it is it's a class-4 narcotic really if you look at alcohol they should have a little thing I just you know they have a little warning I just said prepare to lose yourself yeah we do as usual my lord uh what is it do uh uh all right let's move on to other matters okay like life what about well what about the the congressman Foley the ex-con I think we should get our boys out of Congress right away we get to UM protect our boys bring him home bring him home from Congress or the running of the boys in South Beach you know it's a scary thing he's going off to vote yeah that's what we call it he's off to vote voting with one hand like what are you wearing what are you wearing it's like I think there is he is the only American all nine thing that says you've got younger male what is it you know it's that whole you know the tradition is it a distraction at the time like now maybe but it's the idea of what they knew what they didn't know it's always strange going keeps going he was always played and what about the the idea of Hillary Clinton running for president oh I think she's a she can do it she's bright I like the idea of Oprah Oh Oprah now that I don't understand why not open why not / why not Oprah and then the debate with Condoleezza one-time-only full-contact debate I notice they're back she's got a cello she's got a book watch the fun anytime you have a woman running for office I think it gets quite wonderful I think it's time very soon I mean oh the women yeah those in England they've had it melody row who's Indira Gandhi Margaret Thatcher a kind and loving woman in a kind of a kill them kind of way fire every missile you've got and then give them more racial says I kill them all no longer Prime Minister well you know the English are much more open to that because they have an open forum debate they also have that vote of confidence which is you know half way to determine things going all right I'm good I'm all right I'm all right okay yeah hey you know then his plastic surgeon called and said that I had fixed his nose Oh which is I didn't notice I mean he's still a handsome beaten up man yeah but it was like oh good but you know he's a good guy and you just want to be on good terms of Bob now you mentioned a man of the year which opens on Friday and I guess people understand the premise of this promise is basically if you ran for president possibility slight non-existent wanted just imagistic what happened but it could could happen the idea of like someone like Al Franken who's I think there you go he's trying to run in wants to run in Minnesota britches after Jesse Ventura everything's possible I mean I live in California we have a 60% Hispanic state with an Austrian governor what the heck did pass through right now whenever he speaking just what he says immigration I feel like why'd you talk to you about having identification card the idea of the border being open from here is a difficult concept but I am up for immigration reform but if you know the idea of a talk-show host running for office might happen good could happen yes and I mean it's now more than ever a popular because you realize yeah it's come down to sound bites is pretty much why don't they have a talent contest get it over with you know this the president and the swimsuit competition or just the idea of a spelling bee for W just something fun you know something if you can spell it can you spell preemptive strike and this is written and directed by Barry Levinson Larry Levenson a man who I did good morning Vietnam with who did wag the dog a very dark political comedy smart funny man very smart funny man we have a clip here tell the folks what its gonna be Robin I wish I knew no it's a it's actually in the he's a third party candidate and he's allowed to be in the debate because he he showed a certain seriousness of purpose and as a third party candidate he's in the debate with the other two party with a democratic in the Republican candidate and this is the debate where he suddenly uncorks starts to mess with the system a little bit man of the year opens Another one of his appearance on letterman that I like.

I discovered Robin Williams as Stand up comic much later in my life, and man I missed on some big things. The man was full of energy. He will be missed.

Such a shame, but sadly I feel his choice to commit suicide was a better then going through life with Lewy Body Dementia, I read that if he didn’t commit suicide that he’d still no longer be the high energy spirit we all knew.
