[Music] it has been an absolutely wonderful Mother's Day weekend the kids have been here most the weekend and I've enjoyed visiting with them after church today my husband even washed my motorcycle for me so I did not have to do that we live on a dirt road and it is so difficult to keep this thing clean but honestly I know you did not jump on this video to hear about all that let's just jump into the things that you clicked on this video to watch the parts that were finally added to this motorcycle the name that I came up with for this motorcycle and my husband's experience going from two wheels to three wheels let's get to it [Music] thank you is a beautiful Saturday morning and we are getting ready to head to North Charleston to pick up our motorcycles all the parts that I ordered when I got the motorcycle are finally in and on first the handlebars [Music] I do not like the stock handlebars that come with new motorcycles they are too low for me and cause a strain on my shoulders and upper arms after a while we put 14 inch handlebars on my 2017 tri-glide I rode this motorcycle 6600 miles around the country in 2020 and had no complaints with the handlebars on that 18-day trip in fact I do not recall any pain or discomfort after putting 25 000 miles on that motorcycle when I purchased my CVO in 2021 I decided to go with slightly shorter handlebars and purchased 12-inch bars after 8 000 miles I had no complaints with that either for the roguelite 3 I decided to go back to 14 inch bars no certain reason just thought I would go back to the 14s I am about five foot six and a half inches tall and I think either the 12 or 14 are just fine next the Kahuna heated hand grips I had these on my CVO and feel that they worked nicely and they look great they complement the Kahuna footboards finally the Screaming Eagle Street Canon slip-on mufflers I love the way they look here and the way they sound these end caps are discontinued but there are several other caps to choose from that are in the catalog my husband's 14 inch z-bars are on as well but he will be waiting a few more months for a bar as it is out of stock and on back order [Music] I am pleased with everything got new handlebars on and pick the motorcycles up Mother's Day weekend now it is June happens to be a Father's Day weekend and we've had a full weekend of motorcycle riding that in addition to several weeks of writing has given us plenty of opportunity to test out those new handlebars they are working out nicely and we have no complaints before my husband shares his feelings of going from two wheels to three wheels I wanted to share the beautiful ride we took today to downtown Beaufort sit back and enjoy this ride sometimes [Music] run away from so loud oh that biker wave if you see me out riding and I wave at you know that I am saying a prayer for you and your safety on the road at that moment I thought this was a great idea when I heard fellow YouTuber Donnie weiberg say that is what he does with the familiar motorcycle wave I will link his channel down in the notes section so you can go check that out I'm not going slow here those guys are just going a little too fast for me I am writing my own ride I love all these water Rays around the Beaufort area [Music] [Music] [Music] run away a trip to downtown Beaufort on a hot day calls for a visit to Kilwins for some ice cream welcome to the house of everything sweet and yummy I try not to eat sugar very much but today I decide to splurge and jump off that no sugar wagon for the day I am sure I will be paying for it later but right now yum Chocolate Land [Music] um two please where'd he go awesome hang up awesome that's okay liner dipped and here's just a regular one they got the chocolate inside but anyway there's a chocolate fountain there and they just dip this in sea salt caramel [Music] now as we head for home let's answer the question why do we name our motorcycles why is it a thing naming things is a way to identify and provide reference to the things that we love and things that are special to us at least that is the way it is for me unlike my car this motorcycle is not just transportation she is my therapy and provides so much relaxation enjoyment and a sense of belonging she is my friend when I'm out on the open road I cannot help but want to give her a name and yes I have gendered my motorcycles female not quite sure why I just do the names of my motorcycles have been nondescript and a little boring I thought about coming up with some fun names for them but I never did they were just blue girl and you guessed it red girl when I bought another blue motorcycle this year I knew I was going to need to be a little bit more creative with the names I could not very well have another blue girl I researched for a name and found what I was looking for her name Livia Olivia is a girl's name of Latin origin meaning blue bluish or envious quite appropriate and in keeping with my color themed names without repeating the blue name and there you have it meet Miss Livia one of the goals of our channel is to encourage people to ride the ride that works for them I wanted to get with my husband and talk to him about how he feels going from two wheels to three wheels after our son pulls out okay okay so back 2013 I had a bike accident had a vehicle pulled out in front of me so I had 12 broken bones all in total all those injuries have finally caught up with me it bruised up both hips and then I had a mild stroke so with all that it left me a little bit weak on the right side and my right hip really hurts a lot so it was getting harder and harder to manage two wheels especially if I had to back it up anywhere I didn't have the string to do it and almost dropped it a couple times so with all that said I had decided to think about three wheels I really didn't want to because I've been riding two wheels for 50 plus years so that it was just something I love to do and I didn't want to give it up and I kept thinking about that for months on the end I was thinking about the three-wheelers and then Harley came out with the Road Glide 3. which I loved because my other bike was a Road Glide Special and I just I love the looks of that bike so this kind of gives me a red light look and the stability of three wheels so I know a lot of people say that it's not a real bike if it's got three wheels but don't disrespect my 50 plus years of riding by telling me it's not a motorcycle it didn't take me much to adapt to it the handlebars are the same z-bars that I had on my last row Glide they're a very comfortable position and of course we put exhaust on for a little bit better sound but I like the way it handles yeah it does the curves really good and you can throttle out of the curves with good power and the bike handles well at first it just you get a lot of back and forth rocking because you have the two back wheels hitting bumps and with that at first it just felt unstable and but I was able to adjust to it and let my body limber up a little bit so that when I do come into the curves or in the bumps I have the right body position for it I've gone twice from two wheels to three wheels because back in 2017 coming from his accident he bought and rode a three-wheel for a few months so this time and that how would you recommend someone approaching riding three wheels coming from two you just have to do a new learning curve I mean it's different it feels different um but you know if you've been riding motorcycles a while you can learn to adjust to it and make the ride like you said to make the right your ride for me and my suggestion for that is just get out and ride I remember him trying to talk me into getting back out and I just had to go go and go and go and get comfortable with it it is a different feel I feel more stable on free wills it is a little bit different turning a little bit different handling but once you get that muscle memory built in then it becomes easier you want to stay riding and you're not physically able to ride two wheels go to the three wheel enjoy the ride don't let others dictate what you do take the chance jump on three wheels go rent one see what you think and it took me a few rides before I figured out how to relax on the three wheels but now I really enjoy it all right thank you everybody for watching until next time and God bless and safe riding out there [Music] run away [Music]
