My grandpa is the best man I ever met. His loss was terrible but I take solace in the idea that I'm taking his lessons with me and teaching them whenever possible.
Sorry for your loss. I lost my great grandmother (who was like another grandma to me) around the time “When I Get Where I’m Going” was big on the radio. It brought me to tears every time.
As Randy Travis says in Three Wooden Crosses, "it's not what you take when you leave this world behind you, it's what you leave behind you when you go".
You owe it to your grandpa to live your life to its fullest and take nothing for granted. Continue being a person he would be proud of. Peace to you and your family during this hard time.
