RIDING THE NEW BRIGHTLINE TRAIN TO AND FROM MY CRUISE! Reviewing Premium & Smart Class!

good morning ladies and gentlemen welcome back to the channel and welcome to a brand new Disney Cruise Line Vlog Series today we are going to be taking the bright Line train from Orlando International Airport down to Fort Lauderdale where we are going to be boarding the Disney Dream tomorrow for a 5 night Marvel day at se Cruz I'm super excited to try this out a lot of you guys have been dropping comments in the comment section asking me to review bright line so we're here today to finally bring you guys this video we're going to show you guys the entire process of taking the bright Line train from Orlando to Fort Lauderdale if you guys are wanting to go on a Disney cruise either before or after your Walt Disney World vacation before we get started real quick I just want to give a huge shout out and thank you to brightline for sponsoring today's video they did not pay us for this review but they did provide us with roundtrip tickets to and from Fort Lauderdale so with that being said let's head on inside guys I'm super excited so we did drive here from Tampa and we decided to park our car in the South Park Place economy parking lot it was about $14 a day to park here and there was a shuttle that took us down to Terminal C from terminal C we were able to walk across a bridge and get over to the bright Line Station there is plenty of signage around so don't worry you're not going to get lost all right time to scan our tickets we are good to go as soon as you walk into the terminal you are met with the market this is a small marketplace where you can buy different souvenirs little knick-knacks things that you might want to take with you while you're on the train we have some Orlando souvenirs we have some bright line hats we have a snack stand over here there are different sandwiches and drinks that you can get we have a selection of candies and cookies we also have some medicines down here in case you guys forgot anything for your trip and it looks like they also have a small electronic section over here oh my gosh take a look at these bright line souvenirs they have different trains that you can buy some Cho Choo chocolate cocoa mix we have some more bright line hats over here looks like little conductor hats some bright line mugs bright line t-shirts and at the far end we have the Merry Mary bar looks like we have an announcement so because bright line was gracious enough to hook us up with a pair of tickets in the premium cabin we do get to explore the premium Lounge let's go ahead and scan in and explore all right you got some snacks what you get some cheese and some turkey cheese and turkey all right it's like a shudi selection over there yeah they also have like sandwiches and stuff ooh okay can't wait to check it out enjoy your snacks y so over here at the snack station they have a different selection of different foods they had some meats and cheeses we have a fruit salad over here we have some apples we have assorted crackers and an egg salad we are still technically in breakfast time so they do have some breakfast sandwiches actually these don't really look like breakfast sandwiches they look like salami ham and cheese and it looks like there's some turkey in there as well and over here we have some boiled eggs and some bacon we also have a merry marry on demand bar I assume this is just like a self-service bar you can you know grab a cup and put it over here and just get whatever drinks that are on offer that's really cool I don't really drink too much alcohol or beer but this is an option for you if you're interested they have some more breakfast and snack options over here as well we have some Chobani yogurts some chocolate chips we have granolas we have some assorted pastries up here these look really good and it looks like we also have some hot food options as well over here we have some potato hash we have some pork sausage and we have some pre-made omelets down here we also have an assortment of different soft drinks we have some Pepsi products and water all complimentary and last but not least we also have a coffee machine and ladies and gentlemen it is time to board the 1050 train arrives on track one time to take the escalator all the way down to the platform and because we are in premium we are in coach one so we are making our way all the way down to the very front of the [Music] train welcome to Bright line please take a moment to familiarize yourself with the safety and emergency exit information booklet located in the seatack pocket in front of you thank you for choosing bright line and enjoy the all right sweetheart we have made it into our premium cabin coach one on the bright line red what are your initial thoughts so far it's really nice I like this place right now it's really nice yeah they were so gracious enough to hook us up with one of these big tables over here there are a few of these in the uh premium cabin and a few of these in smart as well you just have to look for them online oh hi nugget he likes trains too he likes trains I like trains but so so far the seats are very comfortable they're nice and wide we have a nice long table over here we do have some trays that do come out we're going to be utilizing those as the uh Journey progresses we have a couple of USB ports over here and some regular Outlets which are greatly appreciated and as we begin our journey I would just like to say that we departed at 1050 on the dot and we are scheduled to arrive in Fort Lauderdale at 1:40 so this journey is in theory supposed to take just under 3 hours only a couple minutes into the journey and we were presented with a moist towet bright line labeled greatly appreciate [Music] that so now that we have started our journey let's go ahead and check out the onboard Wi-Fi each bright Line train is equipped with Wi-Fi so you can go ahead and connect and stay connected throughout your whole journey all right let's go ahead and test the Wi-Fi speed shall we that is actually really fast holy cow oo bye I would also like to point out our lights above our seats we have two of them actually pretty bright not bad so as we make our way over to the east coast we are able to hit speeds of 125 mph before we make that turn to parallel the coast and right now we're pushing 100 and slowly creeping our way up and I'd also like to point out it is smooth it is very smooth in here like yeah there's a little bit of shaking and a little bit of rattling but overall we're not like shaking from side to side yeah absolutely it is nice and smooth look at that our speed is slowly going up we're at5 116 I know the windows a little bit obscured but look at how fast we're going compared to these cars we are flying past them oh my gosh this is the same road that we would take in order to get to Port canaval it goes all the way down to the Cocoa Beach Coast let's go ahead and take a look at the onboard snacks and drinks menu now because we are in premium a lot of this stuff is already included however here is a look at all the options available to you if you are sitting anywhere else or if you want an upgraded option on the opposite side we have a breakfast menu we have a midday menu which includes some premium sandwiches I'm thinking I'm going to try one of these we also have some salads over here and a bright kid snack box we also have some Savvy combos now they haven't come around with the beverage service yet however they should be starting that relatively soon and a little under 30 minutes later we have made it to the Cocoa Beach area and are starting to make the turn South and welcome aboard something light refreshing for today coffee TG sodas what's your like for today we're kind to of juice do you have I have cranberry juice and I have orange juice um I'll take an orange juice [Music] please so every once in a while your train is going to come to a stop and they come over a PA system and say that the reason for the Stop is to let another bright Lon train have the ride of away I think there are only sections where there's just one track as opposed to two side by side parallel to each other and only one train can occupy that section of track at the time so that would make sense and I believe that that's the case but just be aware that when you're on the train every once in a while you're going to stop but every time you slow down or comtable stop they'll come over to PA and they'll let you know what's going on all right now that the train has stopped temporarily let's go ahead and make our way to the back and check out the bathroom so over here is the bathroom go ahead and open this up wow the bathroom is pretty big and from what I understand all the rest rooms here on bright line are wheelchair accessible which is really good if you want to close it you can just go ahead and do that and it will close up and lock so it says that it is locked now that it is red as always wash your hands I like these sinks we have that we also have the dryers on the side over here that's really cool trash can over here we have a baby changing station and we have plenty of room for activities over here and I will say the bathroom is very very clean very clean which I appreciate I appreciate that a lot that's really cool and in case you guys are curious you are able to go from one car to another you can go to Car 2 which is right back there it is a very easy process and we have a little quiet area right here if you want to make a call you can go ahead and chill out over here and you know do what you need to [Music] do hey so now that we've made that turn South to head towards Miami the maximum allowable speed that we have is0 mph unfortunately we do have to slow things down just a little bit because these rails that we're on now were not made specifically for bright line and uh higher speed rail uh these rails are also shared by Amtrak I believe and freight and we also have a lot of atg grade railroad crossings on streets so unfortunately can't hit 125 mph like we did when we were leaving Orlando heading towards Coco Beach those rails are specifically made for FR light so we can go really fast on those but not too much of a difference between 110 and 125 to be completely honest with you but now we're zooming and making our way South so we just got done with the lunch service on board bright line in the premium cabin and I got to say I was very impressed my expectations were a little low because everything that I've seen up until this point was from videos taken during the opening days and weeks that bright line opened and the snat boxes or the lunch on board was very different from what it is now I feel like people might have gave bright line some feedback and they took that into consideration and they greatly upped it because from videos that I've seen before when uh service first started out of Orlando was the lunch was just like almost a little snack box where it had a popcorn and a g daily chocolate and you had some mozzarella sticks wrapped in like salami and that was pretty much it it was just a tiny little box and now we had like a full-blown meal service with sandwiches salad fruit and a dessert as well which was really really nice the Italian shabata was really really good I greatly admired that and the tomato and mozzarella pesto salad was also really good too the fruit was just okay it's fruit but it also came with a gir Deli chocolate as well and on top of that you could get some other snacks on top of that so I got a Pringles and an M&M and this is something that I can take and hold on to with me for the rest of the trip and Beyond whenever we get up so that's really good so overall lunch was fantastic so Kota do you agree with lunch yes it was really good really yummy I'm glad you enjoyed it okay so now that we're a little over halfway through our trip let's go ahead and talk about the seats here on bright line particularly in the premium class now these seats are a little bit wider than what you're going to find in the smart coach these seats are 21 in wide compared to Smart which is only 19 which to be fair isn't that big of a difference on paper but when you sit here you can notice a difference and especially as a guy like me who is Big um both you know in in in both directions I greatly appreciate it and even without the armrest down it is super comfortable I have plenty of room to work with I don't feel squished in any way and especially with these seats that we have over here with this table in the middle there is plenty of room for me and my gut which I thoroughly appreciate I can put this armrest down over here and I still have plenty of room I'm not squished it is comfortable and with these seats you have a button down here where you can recline and you kind of scoot your butt forward if that makes any sense so that's how you do it and that is how you can recline and I'm thoroughly enjoying these seats these seats are really nice I like them so the current time is 1:12 in the afternoon and we are quickly approaching our first stop on this journey which is at West Palm Beach Florida took us just over 2 hours to get here not bad at all won't be long now before we get into Fort Lauderdale okay so here we are in one of the single seats in the premium cabin no other seats next to us over here it's in a 21 configuration for a nice wide aisle so I just want to show you guys how spacious these teams are there's plenty of legro over here I also want to point out the outlets that are right here we have two outlets and two USBS which is really good we have our seat back pocket over here and we have tray dedicated for small devices so if you want to put your phone here you can go ahead and do that whenever they bring out food if you want to pull down the other train you can go ahead and do that too or you can put your laptop here do whatever work you need to do and I'd also like to point out plenty of room for your guts if you're a big guy put down the armrest over here have plenty of room you also have the button over here to recline your seat if you want to as well overall not bad at all I also didn't realize that there's another set of outlets in USBS over here on the wall current time is 1:40 in the afternoon and we are departing our second stop of boa Ron Florida the next stop will be Fort Lauderdale and that is where we are going to get off the [Music] train and welcome to Fort Lauderdale baby first time here no no it's my first time here Allstar games oh okay well it's my first time here overall that wasn't a bad experience oh it was really nice we'll explore a lot more of the Fort Lauderdale station on our way back in the next video for bright line but in the meantime let's go ahead and make our way out so we can grab our Uber all right we have made it outside to the the ride share pickup area at the bright line Fort Lauderdale station now something I want to knowe is that if you do have a premium ticket you do get a complimentary Uber ride included with your ticket if your destination is within 5 miles of the train station unfortunately for us our hotel is like 7 miles away so unfortunately we couldn't get the uh complimentary Uber ride also you need to request your ride 40 minutes before your arrival into Fort Lauderdale so just bear that in mind if you're wanting to do it through the bright Line app so we got here we requested our Uber now we're going to head on over to our hotel 4 to 6 days later good morning ladies and gentlemen welcome back to the channel and welcome back to the Disney Dream where unfortunately we are debarking today today we are going to be making our way back to Orlando from Fort Lauderdale via bright line but this time we're going to be checking out the smart class service I want to give a huge shout out and thank you to Bright line for sponsoring today's video and class on the way back I hope you guys enjoyed today's video let me know if you do let's go ahead not waste any time let's go ahead and get off of the Disney Dream and make our way over to the bright Line train station so for reference guys when you get off the cruise ship and you pick up your bags you're going to be exiting through those doors over there remember in the embarcation day video I showed you guys the mirror on the wall the pretty artwork those are the doors that you're going to be exiting out of right there you can kind of see Goofy and you're going to come out this way and if you're taking a ride shair you're going to see plenty of signs for ride shair you're going to come across the street over here and into this little uh tiny uh midsection I guess you can say um The Uber to the bright Line Station from here was about $17 I did look earlier and it was 13 so there might be a little bit of surge pricing going on just make sure you double check throughout the day and here we are ladies and and gentlemen about a 20 minute Uber ride later from the port we have made it to the bright lightting station here in Fort Lauderdale now our original schedule train time was for 11:25 I think but it is just after 8:30 right now so we're going to head on inside and show you guys the process of changing your ticket to an earlier time if it's available hopefully it's available let's go ahead on inside [Music] guys [Music] okay we made it past security and we are upstairs in the main terminal definitely a lot smaller than what we had in Orlando but it is to be expected this is not one of their major stations to the right over here we have our lounges the smart and premium Lounge we of course have the Mary Mary bar over here we have the market where you put in your card and you can go in and through some kind of strange technology you can pick up what you want and just walk right out with it and it automatically gets charged to your card which is super interesting so we have made it upstairs to the smart lounge and we are now chilling out and hanging out until our train now just an update on the train modification unfortunately we were unable to change our train time because all the seats were booked the trains were completely booked this morning so we are still stuck with the 1125 train which isn't a big deal we are totally fine with hanging out upstairs in the uh smart Lounge area we can get a little bit of work done Kota can get some crocheting done and the facilities are clean safe and overall a very relaxing atmosphere so no problems at all with that just be aware though if you guys are looking to modify your train in the future if you're looking to come here day of and looking to modify your train to an earlier time or possibly a later time there is going to be a change fee involved very similar to what you would find with an airline so just be aware of that if you guys are leaving from from a Disney cruise and are heading back up to Orlando I do strongly recommend that you give yourselves plenty of time especially if you're leaving your bags with the cruise line to pick up later and you're not actually walking off with all of your bags that process can take a little bit of time so a 10:25 to 11:25 train seems to be right about the sweet spot for anybody getting off of a cruise over here in Fort Lauderdale so the folks at the station were actually kind enough to give us brief access to the premium Lounge so I can show you guys everything here is super clean super nice just like in Orlando we have our wine and beer stations over here we have complimentary beverages some Pepsi products Dr Pepper of course some waters on the opposite side we of course have a food selection over here they are serving breakfast in the premium lounge and last but not least we have a coffee and hot tea station over here complete with orange juice and of course in all lounges not just premium lounges there is no shortage of outlets and USB ports we are now 10 minutes prior to boarding it is time to head on downstairs that 2hour wait didn't feel very long at all it was super comfortable right [Music] babe now make sure you guys pay attention to your ticket it'll tell you exactly what coach number you are for example we're on Coach number four so when you make it down to the track just look for your number and stand there and the coach will pull up directly in front of [Music] you [Music] so we are now rolling on the smart service back to Orlando we are in coach 4 unfortunately the windows are still frosted over with the uh vinyl stickers and the vinyl wrap all over the train but that's not that big of a deal very similar to Premiere we have our USB ports over here and outlets on both sides go ahead and close that we still have our table over here there is a Bohemian uh advertisement wrap on the table which is different down here we have our menu in case you do want to purchase anything different from Premiere is nothing on this menu is included you do have to purchase it all here's a quick look at the inside in case you guys are curious different drinks alcohols beers and wines and over here we have our different food items some different snacks we have fruits sandwiches salads and even kids [Music] boxes so we have just left our first stop of West Palm Beach and now we are making our way over to Orlando gives us plenty of time now to get some work done I've pulled out my laptop and it is time to start transferring video yeah I have a lot of videos to transfer onto my hard drive while we here from the cruise so while I'm transferring videos I decided to put bright lines Wi-Fi to the test I opened up YouTube and you are easily able to catch up on your favorite theme park Express Vlogs we are just about halfway through our journey and I just wanted to give you a speed update we have finally approached our max speed for this particular section of the trip which is 110 mil miles an [Music] hour also just so you guys know the Wi-Fi signal on bright line is actually good enough to stream a live stream right now this is one of my favorite streamers to watch and the quality is really great it's not stuttering at all it's not lagging at all it's really good okay so while we're going a little bit slower let's go ahead and check out the ceat and smart glass a little bit closer now compared to premium these seats are 19 in rather than the 21 you get in premere but right off the bed still plenty of space over here still lots of leg r one of the key features and selling points of Premium is the extra leg room but there's still plenty of leg room here you so no complaints here we have a space here for our smartphones and you can bring it down put your laptop do plenty of work and of course you still have plenty a room re here to work with so I'm putting both armrests down it is a little bit more snug not going to lie a little bit more snug but still comfortable if you're a bigger guy like me I would probably either buy two seats or make sure that you have a seat next to you that's open we have our recline here pretty comfortable not bad at all we also have our Outlets in usvs down here so overall the difference between smart and premium not too terribly big the biggest difference is the seat width and how much space you have between you and the seat in front of you but still overall it's very comfortable help PL to [Music] here you [Music] you [Music] and with that we have returned to Orlando International Airport Terminal C now it is time to exit and pick up our checked bag that we sent off in Fort Lauderdale very quick and easy our bag was right upstairs waiting for us and once you make it inside Terminal C proper all you have to do is take the elevators down to level one to ground transportation and that is where you will find your mirrors transport to Walt Disney World property okay so now that we are finally back home from our Disney Cruise Line vacation and from Reading bright line to and from Fort Lauderdale let's go ahead and talk about pricing let's go ahead on over to the bright Line website so I can show you the process let's go ahead and scroll down here click one way we're going to do from Orlando to Fort Lauderdale now I highly recommend that you guys purchase your tickets ahead of time if you guys already have your cruise booked then you should more or less know when you're going to be down here in Florida so for a departure date n let's go ahead and do next month let's go ahead and pick Monday February 5th now this pricing that you're seeing here is just for one person so that way you can get an idea of the base fairs so over here you can see the earliest train is at 450 a.m. and arrives in Fort Lauderdale at 7:40 the starting off price is going to be $49 a person and bright line is even running a promo where kids ride free during certain times of the day if you are wanting to take this the same train in premium it would be $149 a person and unfortunately the kids ride free promo does not work for the premium class now they do have the earlier trains labeled as smartsaver as these are trains that are more anticipated to be less busy so we have 450 525 and 650 then the price does jump up because it is going to be a busier time of day when people are more than likely going to be traveling and then later on in the afternoon the prices do go down to $9 and you can see later in the evening over here we have an 850 train where kids do ride free where the price goes back down to$ 49 now let's go ahead and get into our final thoughts on the bright line service even though this is a sponsored video and they did pay for our tickets we did get permission to be as honest as possible in our review for you guys so did we enjoy taking bright line 2 and from our Disney Cruise Line vacation in Fort Lauderdale 100% yes we really enjoyed it I grew up visiting family in New York YK City and we would take the trains a lot so I have a slight obsession with train travel so something like this is right up my alley PRI to brightline we never had a reliable train service here in Florida so having this around Now is awesome me personally I hate doing long drives and that drive from Tampa down to Miami is a killer for me it's very boring I absolutely hate it so having bright line as an option is amazing for us it's only a short hour and a half drive to Orlando International Airport to hop on a bright Line train so as someone who hates driving this service is 100% worth it now do I see myself jumping to buy a premium ticket every time I ride no absolutely not premium class is very nice I'm not going to lie and having the free food and alcoholic beverages and other beverages included is also an amazing perk I will say that premium class does emphasize a quiet atmosphere as soon as you get on the train they do make an announcement to keep your voices down to a minimum and if you do need to make a phone phone call to go ahead and step into the back of the coach into the quiet area to handle that phone call as to not disturb others in the smart class we didn't get that announcement so it really leads us to believe that premium does emphasize a quiet professional work atmosphere now whether or not you're riding in premium or smart class I think it is a great way to sit back relax and enjoy the ride to or from Fort Lauderdale or Miami wherever you're sailing out of it gave me a great opportunity to get some work done it gave Cota the opportunity to crochet some ducks for the cruise and for all of that we are very happy to say that we will be using bright line again in the future the entire process from start to finish was very smooth and very easy there are plenty of friendly staff available to help you out if you have any questions and there is plenty of signage around so it is almost impossible for you to get lost if I did have to give a criticism of the service I would say that I really wish the windows on their trains weren't wrapped because as someone who enjoys train travel it really does hinder The Experience overall not being able to look out the window and have a clear view of the landscape going by I know Florida overall isn't the prettiest state to look at but having those views impeded is a bit of a downside for me we went into this video wanting to film it from the perspective of someone who is wanting to pair a Walt Disney World vacation either before or after their Disney Cruise Line vacation if you guys are a family leaving your Walt Disney World vacation heading on down to Fort Lauder for your Disney Cruise I do think that it is a viable option for you to leave on that 650 a.m. train arriving at 9:40 in the morning on your embarcation day especially with the option of kids riding free you can either take the mir's transportation from your Resort Hotel to the airport or you can hop in an Uber and make your way over to MCL that early in the morning to catch the train now I was talking to Kota and I was asking her whether or not she saw herself taking bright line on embarcation day to the cruise terminal in Fort Lauderdale and Kota agreed she would most definitely do it especially with trains leaving as early as 4:50 a.m. and arriving at 7:40 a.m. there is plenty of opportunity to arrive on time to your cruise on embarcation day however I'll leave the final decision up to you guys because I know a lot of you folks out there feel more comfortable being in your embarcation day Port the day prior which believe me I would feel that way too if I was flying but with the train I feel comfortable arriving embarcation day but anyways guys thank you so much for watching today's video I really
