and there's always a threat of getting robbed and scammed despite this the guys from the Gold & Silver Pawn Shop usually come across as laid-back and try to be as friendly as they can but at the end of the day they're not in business to make friends but earn money rub them the wrong way and you most probably won't have another chance of entering Gold & Silver Pawn Shop so in today's video we'll be looking at five people who actually managed to get themselves banned from the pawn shop for whatever the reason the following person that was banned from entering the pawn shop wasn't even a customer but Rick's adversary and in a way a colleague ever since Pawn Stars erred and turned out to be a gold mine many copycat shells crowded around in order to piggyback on its success and cash in on the show's popularity even though the critics called hardcore pawn a blatant ripoff of Pawn Stars it is certainly the most successful one in contrast to Pawn Stars that focuses on the historical or pop-culture items being bought and sold hardcore pawn is all about controversial items like a weird gynecologist table for example and the drama that includes clashes between Seth and Ashley less his constant search to make profits and dill tempered customers however this doesn't mean that there weren't any fuse between the cast of the two shows when asked if the show had any relationship with the Pawn Stars by the radio host les stated that he tried to visit him while he was in Vegas but was snubbed apparently gold phoned the Harrisons to let him know that they were coming but Paul stars never waited for them bitter gold proceeded to take a jab at the Harrises by claiming that the PAS stars are scared of them because they're better and more fit than they are moreover less is criticized Rick and Pau stars and other occasions as well because of the educational angle of the show according to Les Rex lessons in history do not reflect the reality of the daily activities of a pawnshop which was in his eyes the ultimate proof that the PAS stars are staged now even though people eventually got tired of the go family and truTV pulled the plug on the show because hardcore pawn' never really got close to Pawn Stars in terms of popularity after everything he said it's easy to see why let's go would be an unwelcome guest at the golden silver pawn shop in the show's episode titled sup for sale from the fourth season a woman named Lynette brought an unidentified personal model of a submarine to the Gold & Silver Pawn Shop Lynette said that she had obtained this up from an unnamed person who had it sitting in their yard and had asked her to take it away straight away Rick commented that it's hard to imagine that someone would just give her the submarine because the new one costs over a hundred thousand dollars as they started haggling Lynette asked for $25,000 so recast her if she realizes that they were in the middle of the desert to which she replied yeah but there's lakes and stuff so far we have here a one-man submarine I wanted to get 25 grand you do realize we're in the middle of a desert right ultimately Rick got the submarine for only $3,000 pointing out that it was obviously a rough condition and would need a great deal of maintenance that would have been the end of the story but unfortunately for Rick it turned out later that the submarine was stolen five years earlier and the lawyer of the submarines original owner saw the episode when it aired on TV eventually Rick had to part ways with a sub as it was returned to its wealthy owner who reportedly resided in Rancho Mirage in California our retired truck driver whose sister worked for the submarines owner was hired to head out to Vegas retrieve the stolen sub and haul it back to California speaking to Victorville Daily Press the man revealed that such thefts are not really California saying that this wasn't the first time he's moved something like this in the end Las Vegas police gave a statement in which they said that Lynette appeared to be unaware of the fact that the submarine had been stolen and that it was unclear if there were any leads in the case even though Lynette unknowingly participated in dealing of stolen goods there is no doubt that she has been banned from entering the golden silver pawnshop just in case as you know the pawnshop has to enter every item they are offered into a database that is regularly reviewed by police and whenever something turns out to be stolen the police will come and get the item from the pawnshop and return it to its rightful owner this is also what happened when a man dressed in a fancy suit came to the Gold & Silver Pawn Shop and offered Rick a pair of diamond earrings of the finest quality one day the pawnshop owner naturally made further inquiries about how the seller obtained the earrings but because the man had all the right answers and could even produce a receipt they came to an agreement and Rick paid the not so small sum of $40,000 for the jewelry however only three days later the police came to the pawn shop and informed him that the earrings had unfortunately been stolen the golden silver pawnshop obviously gave them back to the owner and the thief was quickly arrested but the Harrisons money was lost and according to Rick this was the biggest bus he had ever had in the pawnshop to this very day needless to say after the incident the man was banned from entering the pawnshop ever again even though it's unlikely that he would visit the scene of the crime one more time still you never know there's always tons of dumb ones out there one time a young man named Chris came to the pawn shop carrying a Hudson Bay gorget a piece of armour that covers the throat to protect it from injury that he believed was made at some point in the 1700s the old man was behind the counter and when he heard about the item he called Rick to come and take a look funny enough when Rick approached his father much to his amusement it turned out that the old man called him because he had no clue what the item was not because it was something extraordinary when rick has the young man what he knew about the item Chris confessed that he didn't know much as his father got the item on an auction rig then asked him if he knew how much is that paid for it and Chris surprisingly replied a second mortgage in his house after letting that information sink in rick proceeded to give us a little history lesson explaining that gorges go way back in time and that even romans used them back in the day after covering the purpose of the item rick also explained that hudson bay was one of the oldest companies in north america that traded with indians in the past after taking a jab at his dad reg began inspecting the item saying that it may have been a trade beast at the indians since the glass beads and the necklace were made of Phoenician glass the Indians didn't need cash or coins so the gorget needed something that would have made it worth something the young man seemed chill throughout Rick's presentation not saying a word and just nodding his head when Rick asked him how much does he want for the item Chris said one hundred thousand obviously this was way too much for Rick who thought that the item was worth a lot less Chris normally wasn't thrilled to hear this so when he asked how much less and Rick instantly replied ninety nine thousand lists he gave Rick the stink eye which should have raised some flags to remove any doubt Rick explained that he can say straight away that the item doesn't date back to 1700s the gorget had some yellow and gray patna which tell Rick that it's nickel silver which among many other things contains zinc Rick proceeded to explain that zinc wasn't isolated until eighteen hundreds but thanks to concern for the worst when Chris interrupted him and asked him what is he talking about by using the f-word Rick was completely taken by surprise and just stood there staring at Chris and disbelief but luckily for him the old man jumped in and told press that he's way out of line Rick tried to keep this cool and said that he saw the auctions for Gorgias that generally go around for 1500 bucks but that he's going to offer Chris $1000 this obviously didn't sit well with Chris who said that he doesn't know what Rick was smoking and that the deal was not going to work so he took his stuff and left as if he hasn't acted rudely enough Krissi's the F word once again when he commented on Rick in front of the cameras later on saying that he just thought that he was some punk kid and wanted to lowball him the man from this pic got banned from the pawn shop because he actually managed to fool the pawn stars and in doing so cost him a lot of money back in 2012 a man by the name of John brought what he claimed was an authentic San Francisco Giants uniform worn by the legendary baseball player Willie Mays in 1961 Corey who happened to be behind the counter made a deal with the man for $31,000 the uniform included all the key details the woollen flannel materials a Spalding label and the stitching of maces name as well as his uniform number and measurements however one thing about the uniform seemed off and even Chumlee noticed it it was in too good of a condition to be 50 years old and to have been worn by Willie Mays who was known for sliding in the dirt every now and then even though the seller didn't provide a certificate of authenticity Korie decided to go for it the Harrisons eventually failed to resell it with a price tag of 80,000 dollars in their shop so it was auctioned off two years later for just about nineteen thousand dollars as it turned out the uniform was not only an almost $12,000 loss and had never been worn by mays during a Giants game it had never even been his uniform in the first place after suffering such a big loss you can bet that the Harrises still hold the grudge thank you for
