hi guys welcome back to my channel today we are going to be discussing a question from one of my lovely viewers and that is how am i able to stay at home and homeschool do I work from home do I have budgeting advice what is it so get some coffee this is gonna be a very interesting video and yeah I hope that it's informative as well so let's go okay so first I just want to put this out there everybody's situation is different so I just don't want anyone to feel like they have to compare their situation with my situation because everybody's situation is different and that's okay and no matter what your situation is I truly believe that homeschooling is not something that's just for the privileged it's not something that has to cost a lot of money the only thing homeschooling is going to cost you I say this over and over again the only thing homeschooling is going to cost you is your time and if you're spending time homeschooling your kids and that most likely means you're missing out on maybe earning money or other things and not necessarily all the time because there's plenty of homeschool moms who work in home school there's single parents mothers who homeschool their kids and work and provide for their family solely so I know some of them so I just want to put that out there like do not limit yourself to whether or not homeschooling is for you because of a financial need there are so many free ways to home-school and free curriculums I actually mentioned a few on my first video that I ever did of about why we homeschool yeah and if I didn't then I'm going to hold on this flag is bugging me I need to fix it okay or vet it out but yeah so where was I at I just don't want anyone to limit themselves to like whether or not they can homeschool because like their situations not like mine or I just let's not compare let's just figure out how I make it work and how you can make it work as well so how I'm able to stay at home is we are one income family my husband provides for us solely completely he is the provider the money maker so to speak now I am a self-published our author I have written a book it is a contemporary fiction book I'll put it in the link if anyone's interested it it's kind of like a coming of a why a book but so I do writing but that does not like support me it would never be able to support my family like it's a nice little like monthly little drops in my bank account but it's not like huge so I do do writing but again it's not that's not an income so we are one income family and let me just stress this I cannot stress this enough it is not like a lavish income okay I'm not sitting here being like a housewife and like glamorous and driving a Benz no like no he supports us and he does such a good job but don't think that were like living up here we live a pretty average American life and so because of that so one income and then that brings me to my second point we sacrifice a lot like sacrifices have to be made in order to make this life work however I just I want to be completely transparent with you guys we've always been one in so we've learned we have the master and how to make that one income stretch and how to make it work for all of us and also we start it with zero debt my husband and I have never we don't have student loans we don't we don't we didn't have like like we don't have debt we didn't have a house we didn't have a the one bill that we have is our car and I'll get to that later but we have mastered how to live on one income and sacrifices are made so one sacrifice is we only have one car and if I'm being honest we could totally afford a second car but we really enjoy we really enjoy only having like that one arc one car that is like our piece of debt if that makes sense also he because of his how his job is and I'm not gonna get into what he does I want to keep that private firm for him and for us and that's not I don't think anyone needs to know what he does but because his job takes a lot takes him away a lot we do end up having the car more often than not and he also like his job is also very flexible so he doesn't like it's not a big deal if I need the car I get the car if I mean if we need to drop him off we drop him off like it's it's not that big of a deal one car works for us so much to the point that now that we're in the place where we can't get another car I'm like I don't want it so that's where we're at we what are some other sacrifices we make oh yeah we don't have excessive bills and to put it simply guys we don't spend money that we don't have so we don't use credit cards we're not in the mound of debt like we've we've learned to master our money and make it work for us and to be disciplined to not spend money that we don't have if I don't have cash for it if I don't have money at my debit card for it then I don't get it it's not a discussion it's not a like no we don't spend money we don't have so that's just discipline right that comes down to discipline and then she asked about like budgeting and yes we budget like to the penny golf like if you want more information on how I budget like like comment down below please more about budgeting because I can totally give that to you guys if you want but it also goes hand-in-hand with and you guys know this about me how much I plan so I plan everything like there is not you know there's a Bible verse that's like um and it's been on my heart lately about how like the woman in the household she doesn't drink them she doesn't eat the bread of idleness she takes care of her home she doesn't worry about when winter comes because she knows her kids will be clothed like she she works hard whatever she puts her hand to she works hard and she plans it and she provides for her household and you know whatever your beliefs are you don't have to agree with that but I just find that so beautiful and it really does explain why I plan so much so in the summer time I'm already planning for September in October because I know that that's coming ahead in October and this is gonna rub some of you the wrong way but I've already started my Christmas shopping because I know that it's not that far away and if we're being honest there's like what six more paychecks until Christmas so like I just planned like that's why I'm a planner because I know that there's always something coming whether it's with homeschool like the kids need me new clothes we need to stock up on toilet paper there's always something coming so I plan out and because I plan I feel like that stretches our dollar when it comes time for payday it stretches the dollar because I'm not like oh we got to run to the store again and get like toilet paper and wipes and know like I get a whole bunch when I can and then I don't have to worry about that again so planning and budgeting go hand in hand I feel like and I'm gonna be completely transparent our homeschooling like all of the curriculum and materials cost 300 bucks guys like that's nothing that's saving $100 every time you get paid three times for both kids that was the expense and then our homeschool room I told you guys most of it was flipped it already had it or gifted the only thing I bought are like an and the things that I did buy we're mostly from the dollar store but like the map I bought our white board I did have to buy the shelfs I bought but like I didn't mean that I just did it because I had the extra money because I budgeted because I planned so it's just I want you to shift your perspective into like Oh homeschool so expensive oh I can't say at home and maybe you can't say at home which is fine but like don't make the fact that you have to go to work stop you from homeschooling because there are so many ways around it and I'm not just like speaking that and it's not just coming from like because I know I am privileged and I do get to stay at home but I know women who make it work and they and they are single women and they're homeschooling their children like they're my heroes it's crazy and I also know I know that's not everybody's husband is okay with the wife staying home I know that some people need money like we money is how we eat money provides for us to an extent but I know that like people people need that that's a reality so I don't want to like I don't want to be and sensitive to like the reality of some people whatsoever but I just also want to speak to your reality and let you know that it's it's so possible and it's not expensive it's not just for the privilege it's not just for the perfect little family with the mom and the dad and it's not at homeschooling can be for every child every child no matter their background I hope I don't even know if any of this made sense but this is the video let me know if you have any questions it basically comes down to I am able to home-school because we don't spend money that we don't have my husband provides for us and so we're a one income family I don't bring any money into yet so yeah that's that's it that's our reality and remember it's not like this lavish paycheck I'm not like living in Beverly Hills like I'm not like it's not like that whatsoever every penny we have is budgeted down to the last penny so yeah that's how I'm able to homeschool let me know your home see home school situation if you want to be transparent if you don't you totally don't have to thank you guys so much for watching I hope you have a beautiful weekend and I'll see you guys next time bye
