It's from the biopic of Gershwin called (er) Rhapsody In Blue and GG is played by Hawkeye Pierce's dad, Robert Alda. The hangdog fella in the audience is pianist Oscar Levant, playing the role of pianist Oscar Levant. He also played the actual piano you're hearing.
