okay everyone set ready a lot of people don't know that you used to do a lot of tv commercials i mean a lot of national commercials over 20 if my research is correct you have seriously done your homework can you tell me about some of the more interesting products that you did commercials for and what that was like oh lord have mercy i think i did everything from ultra bright toothpaste to her to rent a car weight watchers southern fried chicken where i'm from mississippi and i couldn't remember how to do a southern accent i went i said i'm doing the southern accent well sure and then i went um i had to run call my mother so that i could so i could hurry and fall back into it and hear what it sounded like yeah i did it i did a lot of a lot of commercials it was fun when you decided to go into a dramatic acting the fact that you came from a modeling background did you find for a while that maybe some people didn't take you as seriously as you would have liked um i really tried to play that down as much as possible because i you know i had gone to new york to be in advertising i was working for an audio visual production company so i sort of segued into modeling strictly for a financial necessity and um so it was easy for me to play it down and i i i wasn't cheryl teague's you know i was never tall enough to really do a lot of the editorial the vogue and the uh bizarre and all of that that kind of thing and when i was modeling blonde blue eyed girl next door was really the look that was in and i was sort of uh not quite that that you know that in look at the moment um so i think that that was an advantage i wasn't you know so i wasn't like cindy crawford you know model model model um [Music] wouldn't have to overcome that stigma i read once that you were worried that you were going to be typecast as an ice princess now why was that because for some reason like about three or four projects right in a row it was this character that was always the very sophisticated unattainable totally in control and a little bit of an ice princess not not a really real kind of gal you know not the girl next door type at all not a real gritty character sandwiched in between those was russell's rhapsody where i played this wonderful character this little virginal nymphomaniac actually but the sort of wide-eyed you know ditzy uh ditzy blonde kind of a character which was a blast for me but no one saw the movie so no one saw anything but you know the ice princess characters now i'm talking about television series now sisters have done quite well you also did emerald point naval air station were you a little bit hesitant about going into another series after doing that and are you surprised that the success sisters has had i was hesitant because the first job i had was um a film the man who loved women and i had a small part opposite blake i mean not like it was the director but burt reynolds and i had so much fun doing that i thought you know and then i did an emerald point right after that i thought god i i want to do film i want to go back and do film so it was a long time yeah before i decided to to try a series again now with the fugitive watching the film there's one scene where harrison ford is giving you a mouth-to-mouth resuscitation now i know you're you know you're a woman and you're you know professionals all acting but how did you feel when you were laying there and you were going through that scene no pain no pain at all come on harrison ford need i say more um he's such a charming charming man and so much fun to work with um i had a blast now i have a serious question now there is your character i mean everyone knows dies in this in this movie and you have a kind of a violent uh death scene was that a little unnerving for you to shoot um i wouldn't say that it was unnerving it was just difficult to shoot i'm not used to doing that kind of physical work where you're getting thrown around and slammed against a wall and a marble ball crushing your head and playing half dead so it was challenging and harrison was a big help actually with that kind of work he's so stellar at that kind of thing and one last question every movie has some unexpected things happen to it now in this film there was an actor replacing another actor what what kind of scenes were shot that we won't be seeing in the final version and what exactly happened with uh with richard jordan uh richard had a very serious medical problem um that unfortunately required an operation so he was sort of forced to relinquish his role in the picture and he had to be replaced a wonderful man and a wonderful actor but there were there were scenes yes that um they gave you a little more background a little more set up i should say about why the murder actually took place why they were after actually richard kimball and the wife got killed you know not as the target but um yeah that's not in there it was a creative decision to do it more in flashback and a little bits and pieces and and uh it works really well just to facilitate the action i had to finally get it that it's uh not a movie about a marriage it's a movie about a fugitive so and it's really a great film i remember stila ward on the fugitive saying what a gentleman you were and that's nice so what did i what a lady she was she's she's a she's a great lady yes thank you thank you thank you nice to meet you
