a used car salesman wines back clock becoming the cop he used to be to help solve the mystery of a murder DJ and a missing Wall Street stock scoundrel and now Harvey Morrow is playing himself in the real life sequel he's a perfect example of a narcissistic sociopath Harvey was a very very smooth operator there was no doubt in our mind that Harvey was involved in this at one point this case went totally cold and I thought we would never get this guy out in the Pacific Ocean a body is floating six miles off the California coast near Los Angeles it had been there for a long time and when LA Sheriff's Department choppers and search boats finally locate the body it is decomposed to beyond recognition it was in such a state that we don't know what the ginger is we don't know what the race is at first investigators think it's an accidental drowning someone who had fallen off a boat but no such mishap had been reported and it doesn't appear the victim had been sailing alone you would think there would be a boat circling in the water but there was nothing there then the coroner makes a discovery that changes everything we had a bullet hole in the back of the head that turned it into a homicide but before sergeant Kenneth Clark of the Sheriff's Homicide Division can even start to look for the murderer he has to identify the victim and Clark gets a lucky break when someone sees a news report about the body being found and calls to ask if it has three fingers missing from the left hand bingo he discovers the victim is 64 year old Stephen B Williams who had lost the fingers in a woodshop accident in high school and now it's time for mr. Rambo's neighborhood Clark also learns that Williams is a former disc jockey who hosted a popular Drivetime radio show in Denver called Steven be in the hawk back in the 80s you just blew my truck to smithereens their Idol or smithereens ISM they were the hottest morning team at that time Rowley James has been a longtime friend of Williams and a fellow radio personality the time is right for trivia and like others who knew Williams Rolly couldn't fathom why anyone would want to murder him Steven B Williams was the nicest guy I ever knew perhaps too nice for his own good he trusts you if you told him something and he didn't pick up that there was anything wrong he would go with what you said which made it easy for others to take advantage of him especially after he inherited more than two million dollars from his late father and retired from radio Steven was not a businessman in fact he was as honest as the day is long but he hated accounting and so Williams was excited when he happened to meet a man named Harvey Morrow a self-proclaimed financial whiz an investment banker Harvey overheard Stephens name and recognized him from his radio personality days and latched right on Stephen firmly believed that Harvey was independently wealthy through his knowledge of investments and just out of the goodness of his heart wanted to help him because he had enjoyed listening to him on the radio that was heavy and Steven really thought this was a gift from God Morrow convinces Williams that he can reduce his tax liability and grow his inheritance by putting his money in an offshore account in the British Virgin Islands but then Rowley learned something that truly horrified her the account was in Morrow's name I'll never forget that day because sometimes when you hear information that just so rocks your world you remember exactly where you were well I was cleaning my bathroom and I looked in the mirror and the look of horror on my own face told the whole face did you what Williams did more than that he actually moved on tomorrow's luxury yacht docked in Los Angeles Harbor helping to get it's seaworthy so that he morrow and Mauro's wife Deborah could fulfill a dream of sailing around the world on it together I was horrified on every level but Williams wouldn't listen when Raleigh tried to warn him that it sounded like Mauro was playing him like a fiddle when I would bring it up Stephen would kind of bristle and say you know oh no no you know you're just being paranoid or Harvey knows what he's doing that is until Williams eventually finds himself so in need of ready cash that one friend tells sergeant Clark Williams couldn't even pay for his own meals it was multi-millionaire he has all this money but he can't afford to pay for life when she asked me what's your money it's all tied up as a response to get tied up what do you mean tied up but Williams finally tells Raleigh that he's going to put his foot down and demand Morrow return his millions of dollars he had said no I'm getting the money back I'm absolutely doing that and I knew that he was sincere about that so I didn't worry I just said well that's great it's the last time Raleigh would speak with her dear old friend who suddenly drops off the radar two weeks later it never occurred to me he was setting up disaster and now it's time for mr. Rambo's neighborhood the well-known voice of retired radio DJ Stephen B Williams suddenly go silent and his friends who all talked with him regularly can't reach him by phone or text and so I called and his cell phone rang and it rang five or six times is it normally would and then it went to voicemail until they all became alarmed enough to seek out Harvey Morrow as the owner of the luxury yacht Williams was living on with him and as his personal investment banker Morrow would surely know the whereabouts of their friend at first Harvey did a great job of acting concerned that he didn't know where Steven was he was mad at Stephen because Stephen hadn't checked in he's gone off somewhere and he's not talking to us and nobody can get a straight answer out of him he would tell one person one thing and he'd tell another person something else first saying Williams may have gone to Hawaii then that he thought he was in Mexico the interesting thing about telling lies is you can't remember what lie you told and when Williams turns up murdered fifteen days after vanishing everyone including Sergeant Kenneth Clark of the LA Sheriff's Office immediately suspect Morrow had something to do with it I started focusing on Harvey as a person of interest sergeant Clark interviews neighbors were the yacht the Le Amara was docked at the San Pedro Yacht Club in Los Angeles Harbor but someone is conspicuously missing when I'm going to talk to Harvey Morrow he was nowhere to be found sergeant Clark gets a warrant to search his luxury 69 foot yacht when I went on the yacht it was immaculate and I mean pristine there was nothing in there to show just even even lived there as if someone that went in there and deliberately taken everything out and Sergeant Clark would learn something else one of the people in the office says Harvey was standing there watching you guys at his boat and when he realized you guys were gonna come here he got in his truck and drove off like the dickens sergeant Clark knows Morrow is his man that shouldn't have been no reason he would have walked up and approached himself and offered to help me figure out who did this just even Harvey Morrow is declared a fugitive and a warrant is issued for his arrest everyone at new Harvey said he would go south he was staying in warmer weather regions British Virgin Islands and the Virgin Island area so I started focusing my attention in that area contacted the FBI contacted the US government the State Department had people looking everywhere down south for him but we didn't find him months would go by without a sign of Harvey Morrow and during that time sergeant Clark was amassing a huge dossier of evidence against him as he pieced together the puzzles of this mystery there was more than 30,000 pages of documentation on this case among the incriminating evidence are Morrow cell phone records which show he never tried to call Williams after he first went missing you're definitely not someone who is trying to help find this person you're someone who probably know where he is already cellphone and GPS records also show that both Morrow and Williams had sailed to nearby Catalina Island the day Williams vanished and that Morrow had returned alone to San Pedro yacht club the following morning he and Steven left on that yacht Harvey comes back by himself and his own friend said something's wrong with him he was not himself and their description was pretty consistent closely dis juggled he looked like you'd been awake all night but perhaps most importantly sergeant Clark uncovers a dark secret about Harvey morrow they would tell him why he killed Steven B Williams it turned out that he never really had a bonafide job Harvey was just a con man and if you believed his con then you would think he was worth all this money that he had shockingly Morrow had even conned his second wife Deborah a wealthy banking consultant who married him convinced he was independently wealthy - he seemed very successful and for their entire eight-year marriage Debra had no idea Morrow was a career crook he was the great pretender Morrow had persuaded Debra to sell her house in Texas and invest the money in his beloved yacht I was wiped out and while Debra remained in Texas while Harvey was in California she kept giving him even more money around $12,000 a month I was sending him to work on the boat over a period of years Debra was unaware her flim-flam hubby was using the money to support his own luxury lifestyle until she was struggling just to get by I didn't even own a car okay because I thought I was gonna be on a boat and it was only after Stephen B Williams was murdered that she learned the terrible truth I was in such a state of shock to her horror Debbie discovered that even the diamond wedding ring Morrow had given her which she believed to be outrageously expensive was in fact a cheap fake he not only did not love me he didn't even like me I don't believe and Deborah who has since divorced Morrow says she has still not overcome his deceit and betrayal of her trust it was a rape of the soul sergeant Clark would obtain bank records showing Morrow had ripped off Stephen B Williams just as badly stealing the more than two million dollars Stephen B Williams had entrusted to him Harvey's own electric shows that he put 1.7 million dollars of refurbishing inside that yacht of Steven's 2.1 million basically Stephen is living on a yacht that is being refurbished with his own money but he had no knowledge that his money was being used none whatsoever until it was too late here we are now where Stephen says I want my money and Harvey decides to kill him to keep him from having to give him his money that he stole shooting Williams in the back of the head while they are out on the yacht and throwing his body overboard tomorrow is nothing but a con man and a killer a stone-cold killer with no remorse and ex-wife Deborah believes he had planned to kill her too while sailing the world if Williams had not confronted Morrow first and I think he would have brought us with him too somehow another just dispose of us out there in that ocean now sergeant Clark has to find Morrow before he cons and kills someone else at one point this case went totally cold and I thought we would never get this guy you just blew my truck to smithereens retired radio DJ Stephen B Williams has been murdered and a wall street con man named Harvey Morrow is number one with a bullet on sergeant Kenneth Clark's top 40 most wanted this case went totally cold and I thought we would never get this guy Morrow had been on the lam for six months since taking Williams out on his luxury yacht shooting him in the back of the head and throwing his body overboard six miles off the California coast and then I got a break courtesy of Joe percentage a former cop now working as a sales rep and Finance Manager at this little used car dealership in the northern border town of Great Falls Montana as a police officer you have some suspicions and there's ways to find the answers to any questions you really want to know if you dig deep enough and he did parsonage had just hired a new salesman by the name of yes Harvey Morrow the other salesman thought Harvey was just a smooth operator but something about him just didn't ring true with parse headaches a little bit too slick to be for real we came across somewhat phony for this hyper community Morrow told parsonage a wild story about how he had been a successful and rich investment banker but then decided to start a new life after his wife died in a tragic boating accident in consequently he was really difficult for him to be around large bodies of water anymore because the thought of losing his wife and seeing the water was just too much for him to bear so he said he wanted to get as far away from that kind of lifestyle as possible but it wasn't until Harvey made some basic accounting errors that percentage became genuinely suspicious of him when Harvey presents himself as a person that deals with that much wealth of other individuals that type of individual would have to be very precise when it comes to every facet of the job and to make mistakes and get caught in those mistakes are not only red flags but bells and whistles going on the former cop put his policeman's hat back on began doing some snooping around and discovered that Morrow had lied to him about where he was living when I got off work I forgot a drive-by and just look for myself while his vehicle wasn't there instead parsonage found Morrow's car parked at a cheap motel so it didn't make a lot of sense to me as far as why he would lie about where he was saying but it just kept adding fuel to the fire then percentage dug a little deeper he shared enough truisms that it was very easy to uncover the rest of the story again and put the pieces together parsonage learned that Morrow was a person of interest in the murder of Stephen B Williams and had the local sheriff tip off sergeant Kenneth Clark of the LA County Sheriff's Homicide Division I'll never forget today I got that call an excited sergeant Clark called parsonage to say he was heading up to Great Falls immediately and asked him to help keep Morrow on ice until he got there so consequently I could not let on that anything was coming down two hours later he could have been up in Canada where he'd have been home free once sergeant Clark arrived in Great Falls parsonage gave him the heads-up when Morrow was in the car lot that's when the sergeant local deputies and a US Marshal swooped in and arrested him and the arrest was so simple and so easy was surprising to me Harvey Mora was convicted of first degree murder with special circumstances because it was carried out for financial gain he was sentenced to life without parole he will die in prison thanks to the one man on earth Harvey Morrow couldn't con a used-car salesman I was just glad to be a small part of being able to have the man captured so that he could be brought to justice and even in the end Morel continued his life of Lies telling the court that Williams committed suicide on that boat this time however nobody believed this story he was selling
