hi OG I'm Jolo welcome to Casa Celia the farm and today I'm going to give you a quick tour of our modern Mediterranean Villa Casa Celia is our family farm that sits on a 10 hectare property it is located in the quiet town of San Pablo City Laguna in the year 2020 after graduating for my first degree which is Business Management I took over the design and build process of the whole property since I was young I've always been interested in architecture and design and always dreamed of becoming one and now I'm pursuing it so for the facade of the house we were inspired by a Spanish Mediterranean Villa that is why we use terracotta Spanish roof tiles from Seville Spain and sandblasted walls for that Mediterranean feel and lastly the repeated arches to give that Hacienda design perspective so right off the entrance we have this front porch and this is where my dad loves spending his mornings with his cup of coffee while looking over the animals [Music] you know so right before you enter I'd like to show you these custom-made handles by the artist from industria Gallery attached character right before you enter let's go in [Music] [Music] so right when you enter you're greeted by this foyer area [Music] and this table I'm pretty proud of it because I made it myself so right to the side we put in a real Jasmine tree and it brings the nature in and it brings this amazing scent throughout the whole home [Music] this is the living area of the home and as you can see it's an open concept it is meant to bring people together and actually it's the most huge space in the house to mention this coffee table is actually really interesting because it's made out of recycled wood blanks from our fish pond and it adds a lot of character throughout the space so right over here fun fact I couldn't find the perfect art piece that fits the vibe of the Villa so I made one myself just like the rest of the art pieces throughout the whole home actually seven years coming my boyfriend is here in Casa Cecilia we have three bedrooms one main bedroom and two minor bedrooms and right now we're standing in the archway leading the two rooms and here I wanted to give a moment for this photo wall that captures our family [Music] [Applause] [Music] oops I wanted it to feel like you're on vacation every single time so right now we're in the main bedroom and actually all the bedrooms have their own individual toilet and baths and you want it to feel cozy minimalist and simple foreign [Music] this is where we love to eat and have our game nights it opens up to this amazing view of the pool and the rest of the property so this piece I collaborated with my interior designer miss Karen Maximo Fernando and I just love how it came out with the natural finish of the wood and the solihia and right above it is an artwork by Turbo Bay and we just painted over it so that it would fit the overall aesthetic [Music] Daddy [Music] okay yeah so this is my mom's favorite area the kitchen and since she really loves cooking I wanted to give her the space where she can enjoy doing what she loves while having a relaxing ambiance so an architectural detail that I want to talk about in this area are the vaulted ceilings and the exposed wooden beams for me it brings in the Mediterranean feel inside the home [Music] [Applause] [Music] everything is [Music] so right off the kitchen is and as you can see it's another dining table which I designed to be a bit more communal [Music] and right over here we have this outdoor lounge and it is connected to this hanging day bed which I think is pretty unique and here we love to spend our afternoons to enjoy the sunset and the Summer Breeze we're now in the pool area and I think it's the perfect size for this Villa and here we have some daybeds for us to enjoy foreign [Music] so for the other outdoor spaces present in the farm we have this fire pit over here and it's the most amazing spot in the farm to go stargazing this is an unfinished project here in the farm which is this fish pond here you can do your morning yoga or even fishing it's an additional recreational area here in the farm [Music] so since this is a farm I wanted to provide my mom a very accessible herb garden because as compared to the city when you need something you have to go to the grocery store as compared to here you can just pick it off right through Garden well foreign so we're now in the Gazebo and as you can see we have another dining table because we love entertaining and having guests over and over here we have the outdoor kitchen which houses my beer collection our family is very sentimental and we got to keep some of my dad's old toys when he was younger and my grandfather's bike and it added a lot of personality to the space so I'm very proud and humbled with the outcome of this Villa because it's my very first design and build project and I'm very grateful for the opportunity that my parents gave me it was such a learning experience and I would want to thank my whole design team which is kuya anzo at the Karen and engineer Alfredo dulay for guiding me along the way I couldn't have done it without any of you [Music] foreign you know [Music] that answer tour hope you guys enjoyed this episode thank you guys for watching bye if you have an interesting or inspiring story that you want to
