I think the restoration will be interesting. I will prepare for cleaning by electrolysis. I will clean for better contact. My assistants are water and electricity. I need to do something with the broken tip. I will try to change the shape of the blade. Mark with paint. Be careful not to overheat and remove the excess. Slightly not according to the purpose, but it is convenient to withstand the necessary angle. I'm grinding. Time to sharpen... Sharpening took more than one hour... Now I'll take care of the handle. The wood was apparently impregnated with something and practically did not suffer in the water. This damage needs to be restored. I use a little sawdust and Super glue. Oh my God! The wood started smoking!!! And turned into stone! I start all over again. Now I use carpentry glue. Much better. While the glue is drying, I will make new brass fasteners. I haven't learned to work with a hacksaw yet... cut off the excess The wood polishes beautifully! Time for tests. The steel holds the sharpening well it is very similar in composition to the steel used in one of my Japanese knives.
