An extremely interesting and satisfying restoration of an old Breitling. I’m most amazed at how a quick dip in a sonicator was able to improve the movement accuracy from an 800 second-gain per day to within 1 second per day. The way he inked the bezel was so simple yet the result looked professionally done. The video also highlights how precise and patient watchmakers have to be. Some people struggle with IKEA furniture but these guys take apart and put together ten times more parts that are thousands of times smaller. Not being a watchmaker myself I am unable to attest to this guy’s skill and technique but the watch undoubtedly looks better after he got through with it.
