Resident Evil 4 Remake Weapon Tier List

team how are we doing today everything great awesome awesome um I'm just gonna do a quick check real quick let's see let's see you're editing about yeah let's do some edits on this um we are going to capture what I got right there all right so today everybody we are going to do a tier list of our favorite Resident Evil 4 remake weapons oh it's exciting I know um the biggest thing is is I just kind of wanted to get this tier list out of the way um start streaming again I just really start you know getting myself quote unquote out there so to speak um obviously we can do V video and everything like that for YouTube um if you are interested please hit subscribe yada yada so on so forth it is what it is so this is a tier list that I saw um on tiermaker of course Sab and C um I guess we'll keep it to there uh we really don't I mean I'd like a d or an F but honestly there's not a lot of weapons in re4 or re4 remake that are that bad right so uh let's start with obvious s's uh in my opinion um I believe um the red nine s tier weapon uh I just think that it feels great its handling is great combined with the stock it just feels right right guys I I don't think there's anything disputing that I think it feels just absolutely great in the hand yeah um handgun wise um let's let's rank these guys Blacktail I just finished a run with this one using only the black tail um I love that gun like honestly that along with red nine of oh just feel really really good um great damage um I think I did that run only on assisted uh but it was pistol knives only and it was able to deal everything I needed everything I needed it to do um without having to you know utilize even infinite ammo or anything like that I was able to just use the ammo that was surrounding me um so yeah uh Punisher I'm gonna put on B tier I I do think the Punisher is a cool gun uh it's really cool to use on like the um shooting gallery and things along those lines I don't think it's something that's applicable a lot of the times to in-game uh at least my personal uses of it uh I don't think it's something that um even on the original re4 I just felt like it was cool to to get it and everything like that but when you got it it was just like okay I its stopping power isn't fantastic the fact it's able to pierce things it's cool like there's only a few things that I think it could really help but that um I think the water room is an encounter that it can really um shine in I do think that uh like anything anytime you're dealing with multiple enemies coming your way I do think it's something that it's nice to have but you're gonna have something better anyway at that time um so yeah uh the starting handgun I'm gonna put b as well I do think that you know upgrade wise it does hold itself pretty well uh I don't think it's anything too too bad um I do think that it's you know obviously it's outshined by a few everything else um is that the starting hand gonna can't till it looks like it is I don't think we're doing any of the bonus guns on this one or anything like that so or actually it looks like we are this might be the uh The Sentinel nine actually now that I see that um which it's still gonna be on a beat here uh someone mine was was a cool little little shake up to uh kind of starting off uh with where where we were at um but once again it kind of goes down to it's just it doesn't hold a lot it doesn't hold enough at least in my opinion uh it's really worn itself to to go up to a or S Tierra I think there's a huge difference between these two versus these two uh and I'll even throw the Matilda I'm actually gonna put Matilda and see you guys I think Matilda just bleeds her ammo too quickly um being the only really cool thing about it is it's Auto fire but honestly it just combined that with the stock and everything like that like there's just these two are so much better uh than this one so I can't tell if that's if that's what that is because if that's the case we're missing the opening handgun on this tier list um I mean I'm not sure uh I maybe this one is the opening handgun but it looks like the Blacktail in my opinion so if anybody asks red nine Blacktail Sentinel 9 a starting handgun um Punisher and then Matilda all right let's get into shotguns um the first shotgun uh I will go ahead and place on the beat here as well I think it's good at what it does it doesn't do anything special I do think it I think it's cool that it has the highest damage output over everything but I think what you're using a shotgun for um is crowd control and I I don't think it holds itself up to the other two that are great at crowd controlling um and since this is the Remake uh I would definitely put this in the a tier in the original but in the remake I definitely feel like it's a little bit needing um but for S tier um that's where these two go now I'm putting I'm putting the striker in a tier because it would be S Plus Beyond an original or E4 but because you can only hold so much in the drum now and you don't get that added it doesn't go it doesn't go as crazy as it used to right and I do think that the handling on it isn't as clean as the riot gun whereas the riot gun is stuck in this situation there's no other gun I would want around to get me out of a crowd control environment the water room specifically the fact that this gun is sold before you go to the water room uh is important on a pro run it is and the P to me it's a necessity to have um hardcore run or whatever higher difficulties that you have where you're going to be surrounded um the right gun it just gets you out of so many situations I think the striker is available too late to really make a difference because a lot of those encounters happen between the right gun and the striker uh I think at that point in time the striker doesn't serve its purpose as much and you've already invested so much into the right gun I I think that's uh one of the biggest things there so um the skull Shaker is a fun weapon uh and I've got plenty of friends who love absolutely using it but I'm gonna put it down here and see um I think the reload animation is it's fun it is a fun gun to use inventory wise it doesn't have anything it doesn't take up too much room in fact you know I'm gonna bump it up to a beat here okay um inventory wise I think it just really does it's really cool that you have a shotgun that doesn't take up that much space but I think once you get to the later parts of the game where you're already you know maxing out your space and everything like that and you're gonna have the space for what you need I don't think that's too much of an issue um its upgrade path is nice for a starting a shotgun but it's not better in my opinion than the actual starting shotgun I just think it's it's very average seats here uh we're gonna go with the starting rifle um it doesn't get further until you until we actually get to to this one right here which I'll give it an a um this one I'm gonna be honest with you guys uh it just it it eats up ammo too much in my opinion um it's a very very powerful gun but rifle wise I'm just not impressed with it but yeah starting rifle wise not not too impressed what it comes down to um uh overall you know use power it's slow reload it's not semi-automatic it definitely it's it's one good area is the area where you get it in or where you can first buy it and that's really about it um in my opinion I think there's a couple other scenarios but the way re4 remake is built in my opinion so you have the one area where you have to get the hexagon which is in chapter two Which chapter two yes the rifle serves its purpose there uh gives you a good leeway amount of time to get to the chainsaw guy um that is kind of waiting for you at the top as well after you put the hexagon piece in and then after that in my opinion like there's too many close encounters or there's just like not enough there's too much stuff in the way for you to really like sit back and snipe comfortably with it and I think once you get to the point where you can snipe with it and you can snipe with it in like the log cabin house in chapter chapter five with Louise um but um even like before then I mean I'm still trying to sit there and figure out like do you get it with the boat fuel like you could use it it's just too many things in the way for it to really shine whereas take it to the castle area and of course yeah the castle it shines significantly well there but the problem is you have the other one which I think is the Stinger in the original one I don't know if it's called that I call that in this one but you have the semi-automatic which you're going to need to be much faster because these enemies are so much more aggressive um so you know if you're you know a fan of the original rifle I get it ask for you know semi-automatic versus fully automatic honestly I found myself like really shying away from that gun you don't get a lot of rifle ammo to begin with so you don't want to bleed through it um the Stinger or Stingray or whatever um it's between an A and an S tier for me I don't want to put too many things in the S tier but that gun in particular I mean it it saves your life in the original in the regenerator fights right I think that's something that a lot of people uh would probably agree with uh it saves you know so much time uh dealing with those fights um and and it's to me it's just a stronger shot at the end of the day a stronger shot with less ammo it matters more than Resident Evil game killer seven um probably my favorite gun in the game um this one in particular um I just this gun I just absolutely love it uh and I'm gonna put the broken butterfly I'm gonna put a cause these two guns I mean enough you can quote you can you know have so much fun with the Magnum I think the killer seven and why I like it so much the design aspect of it it looks stupid um but it's also awesome stupid whereas you know it's like got that Terminator style design like you know like what do I need like that big of a scope on this Magnum um versus broken butterfly which is I think it's a tried and true thing I think it's interesting that you know they kind of tease it there's a room that you may be able to get the broken butterfly um because you can pick up some weapons not all weapons I think they changed that around a little bit versus the original uh which I'm fine with it's cool you know getting the red nine on the lake was fine like uh getting the red nine earlier was it was cool I think it was slightly earlier and then you get to stock a little bit later um killer seven though oh my God I love this gun uh professional run uh it took out Mendes Chief Mendes so well so fast for me uh fully upgraded it's just it's everything you want out of a magnum uh hands down it's uh I don't know what that was something we ate I don't know so um it's definitely up there when it comes down to overall like best gun in the game in my opinion I think it is the best gun in the game um broken butterfly I it's just something so cool about reloading this gun in the middle of in the middle of fire like if you're a fan of like metal gear you understand what I'm saying right there's nothing like reloading right and broken butterfly really really kind of you know puts you in that moment where every every little shot uh counts um so to speak with it then we have the hand Cannon and the Hand Cannon is going to go in the seat here if I could put this any lower I would uh absolutely disappointed with this gun in this game the hand Cannon was one of my favorite weapons to use in the original re4 uh the hand Cannon re4 remake is a travesty in my opinion I get that we want to make things more balanced but we're going to talk about balance in a second um I I have absolutely no idea why this gun is so weak compared to even I think it's even weaker than technically the killer seven full stat maxed out wise it just has the ability to be unlimited ammo which doesn't the hand Cannon is supposed to be that great reward for you to just blow through a game um one of the rewards right and just playing it first off aiming is terrible with it having don't not having a Dot site this was the first time like I felt not having a DOT sight was bad uh and that's unfortunate like there was there was a few times where I definitely felt that it could have been a little bit better um when it came down to that but I was definitely definitely disappointed uh when it came down to getting the hand Cannon first off you have to have a clean professional run which now you can just do mercenaries which is which is cool um but I think to get to get it to do a clean professional run is a challenge and I think that the fact that you you've that's what you get it's weird because it's like the infinite launcher so much better um than the hand Cannon uh the the Chicago sweeper slash typewriter so much better than the hand Cannon hand Cannon is a giant disappointment boss fights are not rendered easy with this thing I mean sure it's unlimited ammo but we're talking about full power stopping power like the fun of the hand Cannon I remember just playing on professional difficulty shooting um Salazar and the chest once and boom Oh fight was over or it was like once or twice and the fight was over this took at least eight to nine shots maybe with a fully upgraded hand cannon on professional difficulty and that was disappointing actually that was Hardcore difficulty not even professional um and then with um even uh Sala uh Sadler I didn't even want to take the time to shoot the eyeballs because of how inaccurate this gun is it made me miss the red rectal it was the only gun that made me miss that everything else I was like perfectly fine with the reticle that we got but like the actual red laser dot sight I missed it for this gun because the accuracy is terrible the Mendes fight was awful with this gun especially when he gets like when he gets further back it's just bad like it's just not it's not fun for what you have to go through or what you had to go through to get this gun it's not worth it and it sucks because that's like that was one of my favorite guns um TMP uh I will go ahead and put the TMP up here on the A-list uh I think the CMP is great especially if you're doing like a melee style play through uh pepper some legs do some German suplexes go through what you need to do I think B um for this one for the I think like an MP5 or whatnot I wasn't too impressed with it oh here's the original a handgun for clarification because I think that's Kendo right there I don't know why it was like down there but anyways um I really like um I really like the MP5 uh versus uh its other counterpart over here uh first off the MP5 I just think it upgrades better uh it just feels better with the stock it just overall really great gun um in Mercenaries it's probably the best gun to use if you have hunk of course unlimited and stmp is just absolutely it wrecks but if you notice most characters rock that gun in Mercenaries at least some form of it uh and it just it it works it's a really good solid gun it can get you out of a lot of cracker uh control situations I don't think a lot of people use SMGs honestly um from what I see a playthroughs even just talking to friends and things like that but man like I I enjoy it I think it's I think it's a really great gun um uh sweeper I'm gonna leave it on the a um I I teetered on S tier um but at the same time like uh it it's I don't want to like give it the edge because unlimited ammo because technically you could just throw on cat ears and have a limited ammo and I would take the TMP over the typewriter uh if I have cat ears and that's something that I I want to stress it's like I'm not gonna like just because unlimited ammo unlimited ammo doesn't mean like I have to like you know automatically you know s tier him with that I think like if you compare it to something else in its class and there's something that's better uh I think that's you know that has to be looked at as well um so yeah nothing the TMP can't do the sweeper can't do unless you know you're just talking about upgrades and yeah of course you know take the sweeper but I still think that it's it's it pales in comparison to like the only weapon that goes on S rank and that's the infinite rocket launcher like there's nowhere no like this this gun right here or this weapon right here makes any professional run an absolute joke it's it's it's the the easily the strongest weapon of the game uh if you don't know a damn thing about anything uh even making it through professional difficulty first off it's you know it's two million uh you know uh money but you can actually you know get a discount on it I brought mine down like 1.6 million um which really isn't that bad I think that was like two playthroughs and just selling everything I had because I was like oh let's see how it is actually it was one and a half play through I think um because I was annoyed because I was doing the assistant or the uh Frugal uh trophy uh you know not to heal anything like that and it's even on assistive difficulty that was it's kind of a pain because a lot of things can one hit kill you uh when you have like no health um yeah infinite rocket launcher made things just hilarious like Elegante battles were great like you could just shortcut things as well like speed running like there's no there's not a better thing to use um I was actually able to hit the uh the bell at the beginning with this um for a shortcut uh which really is it a shortcut I don't know because I spent like 20 seconds doing that when I could have just bombed everybody in the uh in the area with it you know uh teach your own um and you just kind of like you just kind of glide through the game uh I was able to do a pro mode run with this one like without even really trying uh under less than three hours um so yeah and that that was just that was probably the funnest one I had because it was just you were able to take the gun go through dominate as you see fit um and then last gun I think that's technically on here because there's I want to say there's 29 weapons I'm gonna look at one two three four five six seven nine ten eleven tool 16 17 18 19 20. all right so we were missing a couple uh I have to see which ones were actually missing uh listed on here uh maybe we'll just have to throw a little knife in there uh bolt thrower it's a c um I really I don't know I just the bolt thrower I just can't really back up with anything uh I think it's one of those weapons that it it's cool to try it but like I think the Mind thing is neat there's there's definitely situations where it could be beneficial there's definitely areas where it could be I just think it loses a lot in power and then on higher difficulties you've higher difficulties I feel like you strain yourself a lot more to aim precisely you don't like let's be honest unless you're wearing hunks hunks mask you don't really have you know an auto aim feature you you kind of have to aim um and then even on even on mouse and keyboard you know you you have to aim with it which is probably a little bit better with that but the slow wind-up build up to it um you know I don't know I just I I never found myself like going oh wow this is so this is such a good weapon to utilize over and over again I think there's certain utility with it I've seen where you can use it use it with chainsaw sister fight you know by putting some mines up there I know that there's some things that you can cheese with it um in and that's cool you know practicality wise I understand that um but overall I I just I feel like for a basic player going through it who's not watching a lot of their strategies and things like that I just I just feel like it's it's going to be something that nobody uses um I I get it you know some people might like it some people may not I just think it's one of those weapons that is just at the end of the day I didn't utilize it too much um so I don't think uh I don't think too many other people will um I think that's the I think that's all the weapons I want to say that there was um let me look it up real quick I thought there was like 27 28 weapons not including the knife which I mean the knife is great um the knife is absolutely fantastic um the sg09 actually sg09 which I think is a starting gun yeah and then we have the striker right gun is on there um oh yeah I believe this is pretty much every major gun um yeah the the killer sevens definitely uh the best uh that yeah you got the three knives the Primal knife is that it's asked here because it's fully indestructible uh fighting knife and combat knife I put on the same thing honestly um and then you have the regular rocket launcher and things like that so yeah so that's the that's the tier list um for residential remakes uh weapons or re4 remix weapons red nine Blacktail Riot gun killer seven infinite rocket launcher because there's nowhere else even a rocket launcher can go it's it's the funnest thing you could do uh Striker because I just think that they've it's been nerfed since regular rd4 um rifle wise uh you know I Teeter on this being s and a I just don't want too many A's too many s tears honestly that may be why like it's it's like right there though let's yeah it's like it's like top top tippy top um broken butterfly you know it's fun TMP sweeper you know like I said I don't want to sit there and like and I feel like I know it's a caveat to go like oh you know rocket launcher infinite ammo but it just starts off that way you don't have to upgrade it or anything like that which I know you can pay for upgrades but still it starts off that way and it does what it's supposed to do it one shots everything so there's no complaints there uh Punisher uh SG or the Sentinel nine over here um Regular shotgun starting off with the skull Shaker fun guns to use um but to me there's just something always better than these ones um Matilda you know Matilda has a lot of functionality in you so I just don't feel like it has a lot of Personality rifle I've gone up with hand candy you know how I feel about the gun like hand Cannon's biggest disappointment of the game and bull thrower so uh that's it that's it for the tier list uh thank you for watching um and as
