Rescue of Stranded Dolphin, Feeny

my name is Catoe herring and I'm strand biologist at Clearwater Marine Aquarium right now our team is heading out to cockroach bay to respond to a stranded Atlantic bottlenose dolphin and we're providing support to the FWC marine mammal pathobiology lat we found it I so me and my buddy Scotty we're out there fishing we're pretty close to the shoreline and tide was going out really fast on us and also we went around these corner of the mangrove and Scottie actually noticed them dolphin up on the shoreline he's like let there's a beach dolphin or something up there so we control a motored in there and when it investigated we discovered the dolphin and when we walked out there we didn't know whether it was alive or dead and it took a big deep breath and we got a five gallon bucket and start a pail of water and calling everybody under the Sun and that was about quarter to nine until just here about 15 minutes ago take it back sir half of us are getting the water when I slide to stretch your back and what we're gonna do is we're gonna bring the stretcher into the water and then we're gonna we're gonna kind of hold the dolphin in water okay so people obviously you're gonna kind of just bear hug it and then we're slowly just lower the water and you see if it wants to away my way finally the teeth are very worn but no other oral lesions that I can see the eyes are definitely overall body condition two and a half to three out of nine definitely on the suicide a little bit elevated barely study what's our lap what's our last rest routine
