how do you make an animated main menu in renpi there's two ways i'd recommend the simplest way is to get a video file that fits on your screen then go into your gui.rpy file find your way over to define gui dot main underscore menu underscore background and change that from a png file to a movie file by setting it equal to movie and in parentheses play equals and then in quotes the location of the movie file there done and just so you know this loops automatically if you get errors or rinpei just shows a black screen you're probably not using a supported movie file type mp4s don't really work for me but webm's and mp2s tend to work for me so try those out and the second way is to define your own moving image within renpi so i'll create image main underscore menu underscore animated colon and then i'm going to add each one of the frames of animation that i want separated by a tenth of a second of pause and then i'll repeat at the end then we go back into gui.rpy and instead of that mainmenu.jpg we just set it to our custom animation there we go just a simple little animation and if you want to learn how to do more complicated animations in renpi check out my animations and transitions tutorial right over here i hope i answered your question and thanks for watching
