Redleaf Exotics : MARCH TOUR 2020 PART 1

hey guys this is Dominic ravine at red leaf exotics I know it has been a minute since I made a tour video but the nursery's doing better than ever so it's a lot busier shipping plants and getting Nepenthes to people but I have some time today I'm really excited that I could show you some plants and honestly things are really nice now so it's actually perfect timing Viji eye candy Dreamz has a beautiful new picture I can't wait to show you so let's start on the front Highland table and get through what we can today but I am gonna split this up into a couple of segments so let's start here talking to pen thiis and show you guys what's happening but the first one we're going to start with is actually a little tricky ilaria this is ultra key ilaria humboldt ii i cross alpena we originally got this one from Jeremiah Harris and it just produces these huge purple flowers absolutely stunning look at this wow they remind me of snapdragons kind of really nice the moss is happy the Nepenthes are happy here's a beautiful burial form of vgi this thing seed grown it's getting a nice squat body loving the stripes on this man I would love to pair this with a Nepenthes candy dreams man that would be nice beautiful right now the humidity is averaging around 80% we're getting 80 degree days roughly I'd say around 80 and we're getting 57 degree nights just that fluctuation is really nice it's easier to control the greenhouse in the winter and spring and everything is just looking so nice Wow look at this beachy I I'm gonna call this one tigress it's a female it does look like a tiger and this is the one I bred with candy dreams the babies are looking so cute I'm hoping for a lot of stripes really nice I recently started it's taken a while to do a lot of things here but in time I recently started watering with rainwater and that's really picking up the plant speed and color and all kind of stuff they love rainwater here's a Nepenthes macrophylla sharp intothe beautiful zooming for you guys really nice kind of slows down in the summer but it pops right back here's a Nepenthes Ridgid of folia nice dark pitcher didn't like summer too much but it's coming back now everything looks so nice here are some John Baum pitchers Wow here is venture cosa porcelain just loving the cooler temperatures beautiful woody pitchers on this here's the famous and append these boshy onna without bulbous bottom so cute [Applause] here comes candy dreams whoa see I have to wait to make a video for candy dreams to get a picture like this so then I do make the video you got a lot of whoa then this surely is whoa I love it look at that there's nothing like candy dreams trying to get all the angles for you guys it's so beautiful from every angle okay I'm gonna back off it a little bit show you guys this beautiful heliamphora X bend icky alotta Wow now that it's cooler we can make the light brighter take some of the shade cloth off and the plants just love the bright cool temperatures as opposed to the warm shady ones which is pretty much what summer is but everything is just pop back it's beautiful and it will probably continue until July the end of July once August comes things really slow up during that month and then they come back around October it's beautiful Nepenthes Hamada so toothy pretty fast growing species once it has good conditions it Lakes just intermediate conditions it's not strictly Highland pretty quick grower when it's happy whoo fragment PDM Dale saw and Roy let me see if I could capture this color there it is really cause your attention loves growin to pentia to took a couple years to get the seedling to flower but then once it flowered ones it's just flowering all the time which is one thing I love about that and fragment PDM vessei look at this vgi wow it's almost white really squat and then it bronzes up like this love that amazing para stone here is Nepenthes Mallis thus new pitchers are really cool look at the pear stone on that it's almost black this was formerly known as Nepenthes her Liana now goes by Mallis and I'm still adjusting to it because I love the name her Ileana see what else we got and the pen tease venture Costa porcelain again this is long gardens clone slow and steady venture cosas definitely not like this K which is more weedy and grows really fast and that's another vti barrio in front of it they're just hanging out together they look beautiful here is ran into it here is helium-4 at ah di it's a really large pitcher this thing goes and grows no matter what temperature it is even in the summer when it's warm it just keeps getting pitchers keeps growing it's a very happy plant check it out these and append these c1 ends this everything looks great on this table show you guys this independence I'm a and these dark pair stem on this one here's a little gem this one is Raja cross a thwart Siana from Jeremiah Harris really nice Wow just spend a little more time with candy dreams let me get my hand in there show you guys how big this picture is it's huge love that I'm gonna step away it's so pretty I'll show you guys this middle table it's plenty Kyla LOI I very slow grower but it's starting to pick up speed now that it's getting larger different helium-4 in here here's a spatty alot Edouard xiana can I even get the light on this thing so dark there it is look at that Wow really toothy helium-4 follicular da blooming because pitchers going everywhere I love helium-4 especially in the cooler months because they smell like honey so you have this beautiful aroma in the air this is Newton's Glauber across Newton's or Newton's giant really healthy clump very vigorous never gives me any issues love this one here's the carnivorous bromeliad Bracken e reducta with its silvery coating beautiful here are some Nepenthes at war Tiana look at that one Wow this one is a seed grown plant from exotica it's from the MA ripe RI location and pretty quick growing compared to my others the Tambo Yukon ones seemed to take forever this is doubled in size compared to those I'll show you the pitcher on the other side beautiful heliamphora a nice eye great color Nepenthes pokhara beautiful what else oh look at this is Nepenthes minima being all little and blending in with the heliamphora here is a dark and append these bongs oh this is C drom from Christian Klein great Paris Oman this here's some LOI I this is Louie I'm Lulu for me P beautiful pictures on this and see if I could zoom in for you guys LOI I is so cool look at those Lydia's I love it here's another ID picture beautiful helium-4 tequila I love tequila of course EP made this it's so beautiful and colorful even in like Nepenthes light it got such good color look at this trim audiences and I have to get in on this really dark picture nice and steady but it's starting to gain size this one is a seed grown EP plant here is a favorite LOI I CrossFit piata with toothpaste over that one this one started growing like a year after we moved and now it's been another year and it's finally settled in and growing how it used to grow in Brooklyn it's crazy how long it could take the plans to settle in if they're really loving their home and then moved even if they love their new home here's an extremely rare one this one is Mallis cross LOI I from Mallis seed Wow you can really see both parents in this one look at those lid bristles and a zoom in can't wait to see the uppers on this thing should be great here's a newer table some cool plants on it I'm gonna get into some of the cool hybrids this is Ling a lot across chhankata look at the picture on that thing so tall it looks like a giant Linga lotta LOI I jackal any a really dark pitchers and love that flare we got up here spectac there love the color on this hybrid here's one that looks very promising this is rock exotica boshy on Avicii I Crosby GIM packed with vgi it looks like Avicii I so I hope I get a big flared Paris tome on that thing when it's large it looks so good whoa how crazy is this this is venture Costa super net suspension cosa Trez mod en sus flowy IV chat boshy on a Maxima Mira don't know how I remember but I do Wow oh my god this is so nice I think Nepenthes make me say Wow and amazing a lot cuz I mean look at that it's so nice and now it has this new pitcher coming on it I wonder how large it will get time will tell got this fresh rooted cutting of platy kyla blooming we got this one from exotica in the fall and this is the first picture on it it's their best male so I hope I can make some nice platy kyla hybrids with this I'm gonna put it on low adventure cosas female so that should be really interesting and these plant Kyle is so beautiful so cool how different the lowers are from the uppers oh my god this is one of the breeding plants that I love making plans with this is smallest cross VG I made a lot of really nice hybrids with this and I'm hoping the daddy pulls through and gives me some of that big stripe air stone God this is nice Christian Klein probably I think that's my favorite hybrid from him beautiful pictures on it Trung cata crash Jacqueline II a really cool exotica hybrid let's see this new one look at that such a cool flat smooth let love Jacqueline he crosses tell against his vici I be form EP what is up Wow is that nice here's the latest look at the color on this thing it's beautiful it's also a female and I bred it with VG eyes so I hope that we get some amazing striped vici eye looking things off this so pretty Wow give me a big flared striped pair stone and I am happy look at that just bungee jumped back there sorry so I am gonna conclude the end of part 1 and now the sun's coming out so now I want to show you guys the plants all over and so does Chloe outside do you hear her she's so cute but look at this beautiful AGI oh I guess I'm not gonna conclude the video how can i but I cannot go through all those hybrids right now my tongue
