stylish and it's very trendy uh normal Mercedes-Benz technology and the driver assistance features in this guy include active cruise control you have blind spot monitoring system and also you have Lane departure warning apart from that there is the intelligent light system by Mercedes-Benz so it means that it has adaptive front lights that can adapt to the road curvature when you're driving and because Mercedes-Benz is all about uh advancing in both Technology and Safety we saw them Premiere a world-class lighting system that is called the Mercedes-Benz Digital Light so from 2018 what you have with the digital light is basically maximum brightness without glare what does that mean in simpler language on full beams but here light height that is basic swahiliyani or in simple English is that you have bright headlights that will not blind the oncoming person very impressive safety now let's get to what powers up the gl63 because this is where most of the fun is under the hood of the gl63 is a 5.5 liter twin turbo V8 engine producing a whopping 550 horsepower this is going to be great for the zero to 100 segment I I can't wait for that uh segment uh 550 horsepower and 760 newton meters of torque those are insane power figures but to get that power to the wheels you need a reliable and efficient transmission you get what is called the AMG speed shift 7-speed automatic automatic transmission man these These are car that is fun to drive and also you feel the vehicle Shifting the gears there is that bond between the driver and the Machine and that is what any Automotive purist is looking for in a car so basically this is what you would find in uh G wagon and the other thing this one is all-wheel drive so it features Mercedes-Benz a 4matic four wheel drive technology Sasa you get the G so you have Maximum Traction maximum power and that is courtesy of a very good engine and a very good transmission as well now let's see what we have on the side of the G wagon well this one is sitting on 20 inch uh Alloy rims and also tires but if you are looking for options if you when you're buying the gl63 there are few options especially with the air manufacture 2015. well the standard features will will include you know there are some standard luxury features but the optional ones include soft locking doors and also an off-road package so with the off-road package you get uh bigger tires and also better clearance well this one the gl63 comes standard with the air suspension all round and that gives it welcome glass Comfort when you're driving this car also the air suspension is active meaning you can lower the car you can also raise it to suit your ground clearance needs so that brings the versatility aspect of this vehicle and that is one of the biggest differences between the gl63 and the G-Wagon G63 the G63 G wagon has normal coilovers but this one air suspension all round you have six Port brakes at the front and four port bricks at the back the off-road package does give you skid plates and also as I said better clearance and also uh the side steps or the running boards by the tell us in the comments what do you guys call this well the other significant difference between the G63 and the gl63 is the wheelbase this one is a seven seater by the way so and the third row of seats as you will see when you get to the interior is also very comfortable and like most SUVs so you have a long wheelbase that guarantees you comfort but it really makes this vehicle bulky yeah it might be aerodynamic It is Well styled with the roof rails that have that silver Sparkle and also you know it Blends in with the rims and the side steps so it you know Mercedes-Benz has to have the aspect of style and also one thing you have to notice about the side mirrors is that the design across from the other from the C-Class up to the GLS you have the you have a common design and that is one thing about Mercedes-Benz and other manifest like Porsche they like keeping One Design cue to across all models to help you identify with the brand that is why most people who buy Mercedes-Benz will find it hard to leave the brand because whether they seats you get ample boot space for you to hold your luggage in this car the space is immense and like the G wagon and the third row of seats makes it ideal for a family setup and the other thing most SUVs have very complicated uh you know mechanisms to fold up or to retract the third row of seats but this one you just do it with a touch of a button and the other unique selling point about the gl63 is that the space on the third row of seats is way better compared to most SUVs actually an adult can fit on the third row of seats in the gl63 so it's a practical luxurious vehicle with plenty of luxury features uh let's talk about the you know how it looks like on the rear in fact it has a very simple design and the tail lights do look they resemble those of a w205 C-Class yeah I think it's all in Mercedes-Benz uh you know styling and also to add on to Mercedes-Benz styling you have uh use of chrome both on the tailgate and on the bumper for those of you in Kenya you do not have a trailer culture but if you have a trailer at home that you want to you know use when you're taking your family camping because this is a car that you can also take off-road there is a a tow hook right here so you can easily tow a trailer the other good thing about having a V8 in a car is not only the performance especially the AMG ones the other thing is sound yeah because this one has four exhaust tips and trust me the sound that comes off these exhaust tips is music to the ears maybe we should give you guys a sound test just to have a glimpse of how these car sounds when it's on the road and especially when you push it hard [Music] oh [Music] I hope you guys have heard the sound coming out of the 5.5 liter V8 and I have to insist that this is a real AMG it is not those you know those badges that people put on their to the m271 C classes anyway these are real AMG I I hope you guys saw the the you know the signature on the engine so that tells you it's real uh the other thing I have to talk about it's very unfortunate that with that very good sound in the very near future we are going to be hearing the sound of electric motors oh my God I think our children are very very very unfortunate uh because the motors even make electric cars what they don't even make sounds at all so anyway let's talk about the interview of this car I told you the driver assist features on this car are you know they they most most of them are courtesy of these cameras over here you have blind spot monitoring you have active cruise control you also have um plane departure warning and these are very essential especially when you're driving you know on well marked roads the other thing that we must talk about is when you're driving at night they are adaptive front headlights come in very handy especially on this car this is one of the few vehicles that you're going to have an easy time driving at night now let's talk about other features that you have this car ah on this on the extender console you have you do not only have active suspension you also have a adaptive suspension meaning you can take it ah to you can switch from Comfort normal and spot also you have downhill assist this is for when you're going uh when you're in when you're descending on uh on steep inclines um you can also the suspension is also active meaning you can raise or lower the vehicle you have Mercedes-Benz command uh on the infotainment system although I'll keep on insisting this one does not have Mercedes-Benz mux the Mercedes-Benz user experience infotainment system however it is still okay only that the infotainment display is a bit smaller and since this is a sporty oriented these are these are performance oriented model you get paddle shifts meaning you can be able to shift this car manually if you want to go especially if you're in sport mode it actually has port and M so in M you can shift the gears manually or all the way up to number seven also if you want to save fuel you drive this car in eco mode the build quality of the Interior you have an Alcantara roof lining and uh a leather covered dashboard well we have a H well this tries to resemble wood wooden finishing in fact this might be one of the things apart from the display this might be just another thing that I don't like on this car I bet Ibrahim will also not like this the minister for plastic and Chip designs anyway let's let's proceed uh one thing about Mercedes-Benz and I told you Mercedes-Benz designs are are maintained you know across the board you still have shift by wire on this so there are people who hate it but I think it's well it's an unconventional but it's quite convenient as well and but anyway if if you're not used to Mercedes-Benz this might give you a headache just like normal German cars the the the the the signaling is on the left side the wiper controls everything is you know clustered around this part over here ah these very good Ambience inside the gl63 that is courtesy of a triple sunroof man the sunroof you know just no this one is actually triple sunroof very well lit very good Ambience uh the seats very nice very comfortable ball very sporty AMG seats because these are not AMD inspired these are real AMG seats you also have four Zone climate control meaning the guys at the back also can control their own AC to their liking the infotainment system you have Harman Kardon on this one so you have very decent sound on this car the back is very refined it's not like uh the the mitungies and what Ibrahim called the huffas that are installed across or along the street so this one has refined luxurious sound system you do not need to add on to anything to try and make the sound system better it's a safe car has airbags all around with a very very impressive safety rating now it's time to take this car forward drive with the boys and here what they have to say about the gl63 thank you my friend there's nothing good and nothing feels better than being in one of the most reliable germanicas and you know now the good thing about Mercedes unlike the rest of the German cars yes uh they say that it's for people who want the best but oh nothing nothing but the best yes that's why the attack line is the best or nothing yes if it's not the best they would rather not produce it how are you feeling no you must start with here behind here behind me I just want to comment on the Comfort here behind yes where is the word one the Frozen claiming another problem is I can't control it unless Ibrahim gives me permission from control yes yeah you must activate yes that's a disadvantage me I don't want to because secondly I feel this compartment is too small for me I'd rather have something more luxurious yeah but for me this is a it's an SUV so I feel limit so many things that is you have you have heated seats you have cool you can cool your bum if you want to cool it but the way you can recline only manually you can do it manually yes but let me tell you this car upon your money it's really really comfortable it's just gliding give up on your mind feels very good yeah so I was lucky to sit with Mr Richard Mugo let me call him today Mr Richard because he's gonna see this box yes when you are driving here and I can tell you for a fact without fear of contradiction and when you sit behind there and you sit here behind it is your life is a good place to be but one thing that is the race to woke up that is very important for you I think there is much Tech shared between the driver and the core driver but the guys at the back unlike all the other modern luxury cars you've done finally new America now yes nothing and I can tell you when you step with the gas the car sits down behind like it's quotes you know it's Mercedes one thing I don't like I said with a few things I don't like there is this shiny surface along the seats it's a mimicked wooden finish it has now when you touch it up it leaves fingers you know foreign perforated meaning like it's very ventilated so it means we we can air our bumps at the same time yes you know you you guys talk all about the luxury yes for me that is the least of my concerns we know that's why we are dealing with it so that you deal with it very nice 360 360 Degrees camera or copy hey that camera is awesome 360 is awesome you know one thing yes about this vehicle what what what makes me fall in love with this vehicle okay it's it's a comfort oriented G-Wagon yes powertrain drive train G wagon definitely uh it's a comfortable G-Wagon yes because G-Wagon is Hardy it's rugged and that is why but that is what makes the G wagon a very nishika it's for specific people yeah so for me I would still buy the G-Wagon definitely for obvious reasons yeah yeah but I have to admit that this car the Comfort levels in this car are just epic it's a full-size SUV it is very comfortable air suspension right yes you can increase clearance you can take it lower if you're an off-road junkie I think there is an off-road pack that comes with skid plates and all that to prevent you from uh yes and you see now why I love the G wagon is you don't really do things yeah yeah I agree with you they are perfect yes yes and now the the juice of this car from where I'm seated yes the rest of the tech these Mercedes-Benz command uh Harman Kardon infotainment system um Collision prevention it's a safe car basically we have gone through this on the S-Class on the G Wagon on the GLE really no this one does not have mbux but there was mbux on this from 2016 when it was when it graduated to being called the GLS yes you know the GL definitely yeah so it was you know the g l a g l c g l e g l s so this is the from 2016 this is the S-class the SUV version of my S-Class yes yeah but uh the juice of this is the performance and you're going to get to the most interesting part of this review there's zero to one hundred definitely uh one thing yes uh when it comes to acceleration we have been doing the zero to 100 test for a very long time yes but today from today we're actually going for the petrol Vehicles you're going to be fueling Shelby power yes why shall we power now for this one uh you know Shelby power has a higher octane rating so it's better for performance engines but apart from that Shelby power has what we call friction reducing molecules between the Pistons and the cylinders there's normally friction that takes place and that can reduce the engine's uh energy by 15 percent as in that those that is so much energy loss yes so we power Econo lubrication and it forms a coating between the piston and the you know and this and the cylinder so there is reduced friction friction yeah which enhances performance and you know it has you know some people will say that even the kawaida petrol has lubricants but this one has three times the normal fuel has apart from performance we are reducing friction preventing energy losses spot mode yes what shifts we can use puddle shifts do you do we do the first pull with spotter then we try partnership see if it makes any difference relax relax relax relax you ready yes two three go 100. seven seconds [Applause] hey this is seven seconds seven freaking seconds I'm curious what will peterships do you want us to do with puddles yes okay let's see what it does yes I'm ready one two three go call 120 seats 100 .5 ah they exist I am all about exists that exists maybe it has how fast did the Mustang do the Mustang eight seconds eight point one to be precise this one is 6.5 the SQ5 it is 6.5 so it's five seconds uh that that says I'm a very good shifter five seconds slower than the SQ5 so I'm a very good give it to the sq51 for the Quattro all-wheel drive I'm not sure this formatting this is 4matic so on that one they are true uh give it uh to that one for the light it it's lighter it's a small compact car so definitely this is a heavy machine this is one of the cars that woke up the rear seats the third row seats it's practical you actually sit and enjoy your ride on it this vehicle is actually huge so I would give it for it it's heavier than the G wagon it's way heavier compared to the SQ5 yes definitely so you see you can't even the eight with the weight of the engine yes these These are 5.5 liter yes V8 yes that one the other three liter yeah yeah so they supercharged turbocharged turbocharged twin turbo twin turbo original AMG upon a badge it even has the signature of who hand built that engine uh for me I would comfortably give this car honestly speaking I'm a G wagon person yes but I'll still give this car a 10 over 10. yes yes um I feel like this is the kind of car you can sit with you can cheat with the G wagon of the seventh night like it's the kind of car you can now this is for the office 79 is foreign seconds is all these things you say you do not need them this one has on top of that performance exactly but the the Cayenne is also smaller yes yes then the other thing reliability on this vehicle is stops definitely it has surpassed everything that we expected it is a car that you can buy and enjoy it's both for your family yes and in fact one more thing is this car does not have mbux yeah yeah but as from 2016 it does have mpux so but for me this infotainment system is just fine foreign [Applause] all right guys there is one other very unique selling point about this vehicle I know uh the price is normally the elephant in the room do you know this car is cheaper compared to a Toyota Prado VXL yes and remember this is not a fake AMG this is a real AMG with you know even the signature of the person who hand built that engine engraved on it so it's a real AMG it has the luxury of an S-Class and it has the performance of a sports car guess how much this guy is going for so if you buy this car from motorhub they are selling it for 6.5 million Kenyan shillings now this is immense value for money why because VXL is going for 7.1 the Porsche Cayenne is going for around the same price and it the performance is almost nowhere near this and also the aspect of reliability okay it might not be a very fuel economical vehicle however this car it's it's cheaper compared to even the ls the LX 570 so it's a car that will make you stand out it's a car that will give you luxury it's a car that will give you performance and also reliability but remember these are these are no stentatious vehicles so uh number of fuel economic dog this is a vehicle that will comfortably fit the budget of a person who is buying a Toyota Prado
