alright guys we're gonna try to tackle a little experiment today let me show you what we got let's see how this goes [Music] alright so they are reworking you can't see it now because off the trees leaves are on the trees with the rework and the stay road down there and they're milling like the tap half-inch of asphalt off that's like the best asphalt there is is that top half-inch so I make a really good milling so anyways I bought a bunch of these millings and we're gonna attempt to a redneck pave my driveway so you think from all the equipment I got sitting over here it's gonna be a pretty big job but it's not so I'm gonna take a little mini 304 I'm basically gonna come in here and rake out rock back give me about a 3/4 inch lip along the road there kind of work that back reef slope a little bit I'll probably put some that rock over in the corner there back to semi down there it kind of catches a little bit and then the biggest pain about what these things is they're kind of hard to spread so I don't know for sure how I'm gonna go about that yet I got the 110 other of the grater on I got the skid steer here and they even got the 304 here if I need it hoe prior to trying to spread 4 to 5 inches in here and then we'll take hear that vibratory roller I got and try to roll them in with that I'm a little concerned without water system on it they may stick to it if not I'll just take a load of truck and roll them in the best I can so oh no that's the first time I've really messed with these millings a whole lot so well we'll see how it goes let's uh let's get her scratched out and see what goes [Music] all right guys this is what we got I tried to dig it out this way because this asphalt is really thin and brittle up here on the road and I didn't want to disturb it and that was a major fail and I tried to date Amish kids they're my base rock was too hard I got a bunch of twos and ones and stuff in there so I ended up my battery down my GoPro so you guys missed it I'll just come down through here real gently and got her scrape down you gotta see see what I got going on there this driveway is kind of in here by design ever I built this 15 years ago it comes up and levels off so you can sit here on the level and see if cars are coming either way then I got just a little bit of a hump in it so fours any water coming off the road but start going down my driveway so with all that being said let's hear at the office getting a lot of melons hold em up here and see how this goes I have no idea how level these things out is gonna go and maybe one big gummy pile that may be loose rock so I want to do this in the afternoon here well we still got some heat in them so we'll stick together so let's go find out alright guys these are the melons like I said it they just basically got the top layer of the road I think they mailed off like an inch and a half or so but the thought process is they still got enough asphalt and stuff and once we get them on the road if we can get them rolled and packed in it's not going to be blacktop it's gonna be the next closest thing I guess so but the heat of the day and some compaction I'm hoping we get these things to set that in there so we'll get a load up load it up to the get a load unload it ahead to the driveway and see what we got [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] all right just got back with the first load of millings I think I was gonna back up and dump right there and I've decided against that idea I think I'm going to pull down the driveway this way and then back up to the skid steer and just dump a pile right there and I'll take a skid steer and bust this first pile round and see how it goes I think that's gonna be my best bet and all less chance of damaging this edge there's asphalt so I'm gonna try that [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] alright guys I got that first load in there I think these things are gonna work pretty damn good and they pack really nice I got a rough day of the skids there you guys know I suck on a skid steer I'm sure somebody with more experience and knowledge can make that look just perfect but I got the tractor up here my favorite little drag on it I'm gonna I'm gonna polish it off with it whenever I come back with the next load loaded I'll take that loaded truck it will roll all that in and hopefully it'll look good like a redneck asphalt that's what I'm gonna call it but yeah I'm gonna hit it with this thing I think that'll be I don't know I just want it right and I know I can do it right with this [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] alright guys there she is you actually I'm really happy clapping late in there late in there nice you live with a paper but I'm curious to what my vibratory rollers gonna do and maybe stick to it I don't know but I'm gonna give it a shot just for the heck of it and see what happens no guys saying I forgot to hit the record button it works pretty good and it does not stick to the rower the problem is I need a full wheel drive tractor or a different tractor because once I get over the hump I can't pull it back up without the cleats on that tractor just absolutely destroying it so I'll tell you what I'll thing I'm going to do we know how that works now I'm going to try to roll the next one in with a loaded truck see what that looks like what I may do as I may hit the driving lanes with a loaded truck now I can take you out road were like down the middle or something we're like what the tires can't get and go with that but let's go afternoon alright guys we had a little loading mishap now I'm this at but I'm gonna peek and see how the hole down there that's not good but the hose that goes to the back side of that lift cylinder decided they wanted an extra hole today yeah so luckily I had the 120 he loaded up to go to another job it was here on the law so we're just gonna switch over love with it I'll deal with that hose the other day this stuff is uh it's it's here to certain beats that I was not lying degrees and it gets like a big ball of goo it's like half stuck together in half knot and I was trying to take it easy on the loader but really it wasn't easy enough so anyways let's finish getting his truck load I got about two thirds of a load on her [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Applause] [Music] alright guys we got the second load in here I ran the truck on the first load and as you can see it's packing really nice in that second truck it is laid in there beautifully I may be a little bit thick I'm probably closer to six inches thick but I do back love it semis down here from time to time so if I got the material i'ma go a little over seven little under but the loaded truck seems to be the ticket to packing it in it does a little better job in that role or so I'll come back with the next truck I'll roll this section and of course I'm starting the top working my way down so naturally it's going to roll itself as a haul load in there but that's two loads down and man I'm excited that's looking good [Music] the second he hardest part about working with this stuff so far is trying to spread it out the truck is too gooey to spread through the gate and just kind of got dumped little piles and keep on going that's easier said than done sometimes on hillsides I think I've killed the poor truck more times on this job and I have ever since I've had it so no no let's get this spread out and go after no [Applause] alright guys I'm gonna give you a little inside cab look at what what we got going on the other got load number seven pound shift shift with money or still money here we go got a load number seven on the truck and it is going fantastic we are about a little over halfway down the driveway but look at that more I run over the more impacts in the more it looks like it blacktop road of an average and agood probably five inches pretty consistently and yeah is and it's sweet you go down here and turn around I'll get you a few if I going back up [Music] all right so my process has been the last couple rope loads is our pull down the driveway turn around come the top then I'm back back down with me I'm trying to take different wheel track seats it's go around in fact in and I think these billing kind of fine and the temperature being thought definitely helped I'd say about we're gonna be to the house and that's gonna be a whole nother animal down there nice gonna be real nice this crowd plays about 300 foot long I'm think I'm going to be my whole parking area and my driveway for about 1500 bucks so pretty excited all right let's get this load up and spread out [Music] let's probably trick is far there so deal is getting to come out of the tailgate well you don't take the tractor and ground in half the load around but I've hit mr. to you that load there turned out pretty good the last load did not turn out very good it was a disaster but look at this where is pax man it is wait at sweet something started can you tell yeah awesome hopefully no more grading driveway I'm gonna wash outs more trucks in the ditch all right enough daydreaming skip this load busted out [Music] [Music] [Music] alright guys I'm a haul one more load before I call this a wrap but it's probably gonna be dark my time I get back I'm running out of daylight but man I can't I can't ask for us to go anybody this is absolutely awesome I'll maintain about 10 foot wide and I'm probably a little bit heavy I'm probably averaging five and a half maybe six inches which I'll never be a little heavy a little light but I'm pretty much the bottom of hill I'm gonna get one more load and try to get right in there I got enough millings to do this entire parking area but before I do that that's gonna be a whole nother video to hold another project I need to get the laser in there and set up and there he actually used to be an old pond right here in the driveway went out around the dam I don't have any soft spots but just the I need to get the laser in here double-check some grade digging away from the garage doors make sure everything's slope and coming this way there's about two feet of foam here to that garage door there's a hump in the middle and then a holds water over with my trucks at so long story short now it's gonna be another day but yeah this here this is going excellent I'd take a little death like I said this driveways a little over 300 feet I got about a hundred ton on there so it's uh yeah it's going good so we're gonna call this video a wrap I'll catch you guys on the next one which we may be down there doing I'm not sure if I'm gonna have enough time or not but as always guys hope you enjoyed don't forget to Like subscribe and comment we'll catch you on the next [Applause]
