foreign manual look at this thing so sen has a rally car this thing is eight scales four wheel drive comes with brushless electronics and this Red Bull Ford body Livery this thing looks amazing so what we've got here is a full XM body this thing is completely decked out with decals everywhere there are a couple of hard molded plastic pieces on there like the mirrors that are sticking out really far they have a little reflective decals on the back side there's also a couple little side dams on the side of the back uh near the back window of the car those are plastic molded pieces and then this rear spoiler that is also a hard plastic molded piece it's got a few decals on there it is really rigid but this body is just decked out man the front wheel wells stick out really far um really nice molded lines in there I'm not sure how they pulled that off but it looks really good and then more molded lines for like the running board it's going up the rear fender area now these tires are kind of interesting too Gale Carr so these tires and wheels are going to be bigger than 10 scale which we saw on the wr8 HPI rally car that we looked at just a couple of weeks ago and we will bring that in and compare its size to this but not yet let's pop the body off now this is an interesting chassis platform so it has some high walled side guards on here to probably help keep out rocks and debris but what's interesting is at the front of those guards it's all open and exposed and at the rear it's also open and exposed so as you're driving along air flow can go through there and run over the electronics in the battery now on the front end it is an independent suspension there's no sway bars we have plastic shocks they look like they have plastic bodies they are threaded though we have camber links these are adjustable camber links and steering links and they are notched so you know their thread Direction the front shock Tower is aluminum anodized and it is three millimeters thick and then the front drive shafts look like they're dog bones there is a gear differential on the front it feels pretty thick there's a gear differential on the back as well and then there is a big old thick beefy drive shaft going down the center of this vehicle that is also a dog bone for the steering servo I believe it is a Savox steering servo I don't see a Servo saber horn anywhere here but on that Servo is also Our receiver box it's sealed up and then right behind it is the ESC and I read that it's a Max 10 hobby Wing ESC that I believe is a hundred amp and then that's connected to the 3000 KV brushless motor and this motor has a heat sink on top of it with a fan bolted onto that heatsink so five screws pops off the center spur gear cap and then inside you can see that that spur gear is just direct drive with those drive shafts with a 32 pitch plastic spur gear for the center cap two of the screws go into the metal motor mount and they do have Loctite on those screws so that's always really good to see to fix the gear mesh on that motor mount and the motor there's two screws and then the motor mount pieces just slide together back and forth until you fasten the screws now flipping it over you can see there is an aluminum chassis under here it actually says M sport send racing it's kind of a narrow chassis with big old plastic guards on the side pretty nice molded Parts though the overall chassis and this tub layout is really slick it's clean the battery box is really big it looks like we should be able to fit any two or three cell lipo in there no problem on that Max 10 ESC is a t-style but these velcro straps are going to be really easy to deal with so a seven millimeter nut driver pops off the wheel nut Pirelli P0 tires these are treaded rally tires and they don't look like they are directional now these wheels have a 12 millimeter hex there's 12 millimeter plastic hexes on the axles and they're big old wide hexes on there and just notice with the wheel off the whole car uses hex Hardware but there is a Phillips screw right here on the top of the knuckle holding on the camber link and then on the suspension arm at the lower Point there's another Phillips screw that's being used as the hinge pin pretty beefy front bumper on here too nice bracing foreign except I just noticed the top race is not screwed onto the shock Tower so I'm gonna put the tire back on and then add a couple of maybe three by twelve millimeter screws that's pretty rare look at that they're about the same wheelbase they're just about the same width and the tires and wheels look the same the send tire is just slightly taller but it's brand new we've rallied around on this HPI Tire quite a bit the offset on the HPI wheel looks deeper interesting the HPI wheel rubs on the suspension arm that's not gonna work what the wheel does work on the HPI enough of the wr8 how fast is a send rally car and how does it drive 2s speed run brakes are so strong okay 3s Speed Run any speed predictions 55 47 and a half 42. 42. 16 hours I said 42. I said it first it's mine you said okay yeah I say 41 and a half holy smoke 47 . yeah 30. dude you guessed the speed run right twice in a row you are gifted oh thank you scissors let's drive it on the let's drive it on the Slick Blacktop foreign see the rear body got caught up [Music] a couple of times the rear corner of the bodies folded up in the tire and looking at it now the body is really close to the back of the tire here I think a little bit of trimming with some lexan scissors would fix this little bit it's like that on both sides the power delivery out there is super smooth hey [Applause] motor's not too hot you could always take a Dremel afterwards on the lexan to smooth out the rough edges be good this is a closed off road they're redoing right now and it's pretty chunky there's a lot of rocks big boulders parts of the old road that got crushed up and uh it's just a little too hardcore for this car out here a couple of times the rear end of this body has gotten folded up under the tires again I think um earlier we had already trimmed it but when the suspension compresses it gets really close to the back of the tire you can see there's more extra room in the front but in the back it's super close right here so we'll try this now that looks pretty good all right so the motor is not hot I'm just feeling it I noticed we lost the body clip so I thought I'd check out the chassis but the motor seems to be rather loose like the motor screws attached to the Mount have backed off or completely come out so so everything is still intact the screws just came loose spur gear is still in good shape so no harm done there and uh we just need to put it back together so nothing's actually broken the screws just came loose but we're good to go now oh [Applause] the body needs a bit more trimming I think we're at the track [Applause] all right oh the suspension arm actually broke if you get closer you can see the hinge pin poking through here through the Bottom now what's hard to tell in the footage is that the rear tire Clips the coupler of the track connecting the two pipes that coupler is a really hard rigid plastic and it just yanked the arm back breaking it the arm didn't break in the tumble so that's really no fault to the car and the car honestly did pretty dang good out there and it was a lot of fun to power slide around especially on the blacktop in the back now I know there were some QC issues that people are probably going to talk about the front bumper Mount was missing those screws the motor screws came loose those are things that could be fixed pretty easy in the next run of the cars and hopefully sen looks into that and gets it fixed and then really the big one that we had was the body rear end folding up under the tires I think the body really needs to be mounted perfectly centered with the tires if not that rear end is going to fold up and you're just going to have to do a lot of trimming which for something that this gorgeous you don't want to be doing but ultimately it was pretty rad I love staring at it it's a fantastic looking car it's eight scale so it's a bit bigger than your standard 10 scale rally cars the electronics the motor and ESC are really good so the send rally car is pretty dang nice it is its very first production with this new chassis there's a little bit of room for improvement but things can only get better from here guys I'm Brett from May Main Hobbies go check out the sen eight scale rally car with our links down below and if you want more RC videos we'll go check these out foreign
