released in 2016 by square-enix on the PlayStation 4 Xbox one and later PC Final Fantasy 15 would be a new fantasy based on reality project for the main franchise directed by Hajime Tabata who also directed Final Fantasy Crisis Core and Final Fantasy type-0 the game originally started as Final Fantasy Versus 13 in 2006 to be directed by Tetsuya Nomura and written by Kazushige nojima 4 story the game features a young man named Noctis alongside his entourage of Ignace Prompto and gladiolus as they embark on a journey to reclaim the throne of their fallen Kingdom for gameplay the game is split among 15 chapters and the first half of the game involves traversing a large seamless open world experience ability points at items are earned from real-time combat using the new active x battle system though all for the main party are fielded players primarily controlled noctus though can switch to the other members as enemies are encountered in the field and a fifth guest occasionally helps a group attacking dodging and parrying or real-time team combos can be done weapons can be swapped on-the-fly time can be frozen to select commands and plan moves and a bars built up that can be spent to use special moves from among the group magic kicks the form of consumable area of effects that are crafted with a variety of additional effects and skills and upgrades are unlocked at a variety of skill trees the game also features a story-driven online cooperative mode called comrades and over 200 side quests including hunts races minigames and personal hobbies like fishing cooking or photography that the main cast indulges in the game also features a day and night cycle new game plus postgame exclusive dungeons and quests and two difficulty modes a prequel anime was made to add character backstory and a concurrent movie called Kings clabe would elaborate more of the fall of a kingdom in the beginning additional free and paid downloadable episodes as well as a book would tell new stories from any characters as well as present two alternative endings the story only gets larger from here so lets cut it down to size with a recapitation as the game begins we see the world of Oh alongside his personal guard and Friends Ignace his tactician and advisor gladiolas his loyal bodyguard and his common born best friend from high school prompt Oh before they leave king regis gives his son warm words mixed with a warning to walk tall also asking his friends to stay by his side unfortunately not far into their journey their car breaks down and they are forced to push it to their first stop on their journey the hammerhead garage headed by what a king reaches his old friends the machinist Sid though these days he lets his granddaughter the knowledgeable and cheerful Cindy take care of running things Sid also isn't impressed by noctus or by their handling of reaches his classic car the regalia out of money from the repairs noctus and group takes small jobs to help pay their way forward outdoors they are prepared to set up camp as Ignace shows off his culinary mastery to come up with new recipes they also help the local businesses and hunters guild handle monsters disturbing the area though some are still too large from him to handle by the time they return Cindy has the regali restored and the boys are ready to hit the road as Prompto gets a photo to remember the occasion showing off his passion and talent for photography and exposing his interest in Cindy they help her out with a delivery job and while doing so Noctis is approached by Umbra one of Luna Freya's two magical dog companions who have been their way of communicating back and forth with each other since they were children as they travel south to catch a ferry to Leticia they glimpse the coastline golden key and partake in the beachside resort restaurant while Noctis cannot help but spare some time for his favorite pastime fishing they are met by an awfully suspicious stranger who tells him the boat's outbound from gaulden are not leaving port laments the current ceasefire and flips a coin towards noctis while leaving quietly confirming to hold up themselves a nearby reporter named dino shares that his sources tell him the Empire has placed an embargo on a tisha noting that he recognizes the prince but won't blow his cover doing a favor for Dino that involves obtaining a garnet from the roost of a fearsome zoo they are reminded of the six deities of e o s-- of earth lightning ice water fire and blade forming the hexa Theon returning to Dino he shares that the coin that got from the danger is a special one commemorating the oracles ascension gained from nifflheim and he decided to help the group secure a ship for tomorrow as the young men rest for the day king regis as suspicions are true as a plot to merely have Lucius Lords guard emerges resulting in the crystal from Lucius being stolen by nifflheim and Insomnia's protective walls are dropped allowing a Niffleheim invasion the captain at the king's elite fighting force the king's slave betrays and kills king regis and claryce the king's personal bodyguard and gladiolus his father fortunately one loyal Kings clave member named NYX protects Luna Freya leads her out of the city and sends her ahead to meet Noctis and deliver a ring necessary for his royal succession meanwhile the capital C falls to the darkness of the demons that rise in the night including some of nifflheim artificial demons like the fearsome diamond weapon the next day agnes comes in to relay a shocking broadcast that insomnia has fallen The Imperials have won the long war and King Regis has been killed stunned the group is conflicted on what to do next turning to noctus who wants to turn back and verify the reports personally a dark rain falls the next day as a group sees Imperial dreadnaughts indeed fly towards the city pack with more of nipple Himes humanoid mass-produced magitek troops sneaking around a checkpoint they see the ruin of insomnia from a distance and also hear from the news that noctus Aluna Freya have also been pronounced dead calling core the leader of the Royal Guard the Crown's Guard Corps indeed picks up relief to here Noctis survived after all but confirms the king is dead he tells them to meet him at hammer head while the same time amber returns to Luna Freya alongside prainha and another messenger of the astral scan Tiana who delivers noctis's message showing Luna he is alive as she shows that the ring of the Lucy I showing the king is dead back with the group Gladius receives a message from his younger sister eros who has also been friends with noctis since they were little is okay and is travelling with refugees to the city of La Scala arriving at hammerheads CID his Restless upon hearing the news but also tells the boys that he's known Regis for a long time and knows that the king was playing a losing hand as best he could and saw this trap coming that's why he was prepared to go down fighting even though it wasn't enough CID mourns his own way stepping away from a picture of regis and his younger days when CID and a few others were as close retainers he passes along that Corps went on ahead to wait for Noctis and the others in a nearby tomb said also knows the distinct engine blade Noctis wheels as it was a gift from his father and offers to mod and improve his weapons or any other machinery they find traveling on foot towards Court they find the remnants of the Crown's garter well we did their best to evacuate refugees including Aris meeting the mighty martial Corps gets straight to the point revealing the power of Kings has passed from the old to the new as their souls are bonded and it's a power unique only to knocked us by birth he urges the downtrodden prince to stay focused on getting strong enough to start protecting others instead of remaining that protected in grief noctus angrily wonders why his father told him nothing at the end and course suggests that even though the Kings suspected what was going on he perhaps wanted to spend his last moments with his son as a father and not a king and trusted knocked us to do the right thing for the people when the time came gathering his resolve Noctis holds out his hand and indeed the power of the old king responds blessing Noctis with new strength and borrowing of his royal armament with this noctis's journey has only begun as course says there will be more royal tombs across the land including one nearby but they are all either in dangerous lands or deep within deadly dungeons core says he'll accompany them for a bit non weight to help keep an eye out but also to measure noctis's strength there are 13 royal arms altogether but the locations of some of them are a mystery and so he's enlisted the hunters guild help them locate what they can their next tumor acquires on the break through an imperial camp right on top of it as he hands noctus the key he'll need to open the tomb special door core separates two containers investigation of nifflheim as the group cuts through goblin filled tunnels to claim another royal arm as they leave cork calls them tasking them with helping him take out a nipple hind base they're constructing nearby a desk i before cuts off all travel westward within the base they team up to defeat the commander and course ease the team could handle itself fine confident they can continue their journey on their own elsewhere and buried olace of nifflheim learns Luna Freya has escaped with the ring of Lucy I his true target and while he wants to kill her Imperial minister in chief researcher Pacifica points out it's better to capture than kill her given the exclusive abilities of the Oracle general Rivas Luna Freya's brother doesn't comment and set focus on capturing his sister as well as Noctis whom they all know is life back with the group agnes shares the lay of the land on our journey to collect the royal arms starting with lead that desert flatlands in coastal region where they are now to the wetlands and chocobo forests of dusk I and the mountainous region of Cline we're in the heat from the falling meteor of the six still powers the city of a solemn nearby impromptus enthusiasm they visit the chocobo ranch along the way but the races and rentals have been suspended as a mean behemoth has been prowling about agitating the birds they accept a hunt to take down the dangerous monster taking time to study their quarry where they see where its namesake comes from and follow it back to its lair to challenge and defeat it helping out the chocobo ranch the team is now allowed to rent and ride the feathered mounts allowing them to quickly cross water and ridges their regalia cannot one night Prompto shares what knocked as how grateful he is to be on an adventure with them even one is dangerous as theirs he recalls how they've been friends since high school for about five years but noctus surprises him by pointing out they have actually known each other since elementary school revealing he knew prompt I always admired him from afar and took a long time to work up the nerve to talk to him Prompto recalls those days when he was a shy overweight kid with low self-esteem who grew up alone in a foster home and didn't know how to talk to people one day he helped Pina and got the thanks of Luna Freya who noticed he went to the same schools noctus and asked him to be his friend during their first meeting prompt his weight made the situation awkward and since them committed to getting fit succeeding and reintroducing himself in high school he's been a loyal friend a noctus even though noctus never forgot him from the first time he knows he looks like a happy-go-lucky jokester to others but underneath that he's still a mess of mental hang-ups admitting he feels in fear to Noctis his power and presence Agnes's talented and sharp mind and Gladio strength Abadi in social savvy but when they're together they have so much fun he forgets all that and thus tries as hard as he can to prove his worth and fight to stay by those who have accepted him noctus affirms he's never thought less a prompt oh and feeling better about his honesty prompt appeals more inspired to keep supporting Octus venturing into some abandoned mines the group fights a deadly samurai for another royal weapon and after that arrived at the energy-rich city of lost aalam they head to the hotel heiress is staying and belong the way a tremor rocks the city and everyone it's just a minor earthquake but to Noctis a vision of some sort of burning stare flashes in his mind they are soon met by eros as well as Jared and his grandson Talcott who are retainers to Gladius noble house ama see tia IRRI shares what happened to the crown city the night it fell and the next day the group decides to use the time to relax a bit as air shows knocked us around town and Talcott shares a rumor of a legendary weapon somewhere nearby that sounds like a tomb noctis's headaches get worse but they indeed find a glacial grotto fighting the mind flayers within and secured another royal armament with this Noctis gains restraint they use a technique called the armature in which he can brandish his entire Royal Arsenal at once but the headaches now worsen with a vision of the meteor now becoming more clear returning to last aalam the group decides to head to a nearby lookout to scope out the meteor from a distance but a surprise to be met by the mysterious stranger they passed in golden key again he recites a small rhyme suggesting of how to help the Archaean suggesting they visit him and hear his plea and what more he offers to take them all there cautiously they agree to follow him as he introduces himself as Arden revealing he knows who they are driving behind Arden zone classic car the group still find some awfully suspicious especially as the Imperials do not hesitate to open the gates to the meteor for him and he chooses to simply leave after leading them there surprisingly there is a royal tomb right before the meteor and not missing a chance noctus collects the weapon but suddenly the ground rumbles and gives way before them the colossal Archaean Titan rises up and tries to speak to noctus which has been the source of his headaches switching to a more direct method Titan begins his trial by attempting to stomp and smash the Prince as noctus does his best to counter an imperial troops now land and try to bind titan themselves working together a flash freeze one armored Titan the group succeeds in bringing him down to his knees Titan again tries to speak with Noctis and this time the Prince sees a vision of Titan speaking with Luna Freya earlier and now understands he means to help Titan dissipates letting his power to Noctis but with nothing holding up the meteor now the heat begins to burn up everything around them just in time an imperial ship lands before the group as Arden shows himself again this time introducing himself as the Imperial Chancellor Arden is ouya here to rescue them and without any other means to escape they are forced to accept his offer several days pass and while the Empire has taken credit for quieting a Titan the group is wondering why the regalia has not been returned to them stranded they wonder how to proceed next when amber approaches them and leaves him again Tiana she tells him that Luna Freya is on her own journey to prepare a covenant with the full Gurian drama next like she had with Titan and once Noctis gains that she will wait for him with the ring in all tisha boasted by words from Luna in their shared journal noctus gives his own message to share he reflects that when he was young Luna told him that the job of the lucious King so far was to safeguard the crystal until a prophesized king of light would appear that would purge the world of the blight of darkness known as the star scourge nacos has already been told he was the chosen true king for this and Leah's job as Oracle would be to keep his star scourge at bay until he could purify it for now the group knows of a hidden Harbor in which they can prepare a boat for their trip to all tisha and gladiolus has Eris go ahead and ready things they know the next destination thanks to Luna as storm clouds build overhead as Noctis activates rune stones to unseal Rama he reflects again how he's Mac and tiana the past as well and hears from her that Luna Freya is working hard to awaken all the Astral's the trial of Rama leads them into damp caverns where poisonous Naga awaits and defeating her noctus finds thanks to Luna again he now benefits from the power of another deity looking to head to all tition now they spot a huge plane overhead and at this time city calls them letting them know she's located where the regali is and it's currently impounded in an imperial base thanks to the plane overhead they now know where one nearby is located and see no reason to delay retrieving their car Agnes formulates a plan on how to infiltrate the base at night in sneaking in the hoop locates the regalia it takes the opportunity to unleash the power the newly acquired summon while they're there demolishing the base however on their way out Rivas steps out to confront them sporting a mechanical arm to replace the one he lost from when he attempted to wheel the Ring of Lucy I and it rejected him knocked this fits at him for helping the enemy hunt down his own sister and while gladiolas tries to shield him Ravus easily overwhelms him mocking his weakness both sides prepare to clash when Arden steps in again cheerfully breaking up any fighting Ravus indeed pauses and ardent states he'll help them by letting them go as he knows they'll next meet in el tisha where the Empire also has business with the deity there he bids them farewell leaving and taking the former prince of tenebra and older brother of Luna Freya with him decided to head back to LA stall him and check in with IRA's she gives him the bad news that Imperial stormed in searching for Noctis and while none of them talked jarred was killed for his resistance and that night Noctis has a vivid dream fighting the Empire alongside a few days pass and gladiolus insists they escort IRA's to cave Khayyam where Sid and Cindy are fixing up the boat jared source before he was killed while they traveled they passed by the base led by Commander Cala Gore who storm las' dalam and killed their friend and deciding to avenge Jared they choose to capture the same commander while they approach him they hear his dissatisfaction with Commodore high wind though after they capture him he quickly gets away instead they're intercepted by Commodore R&A a high wind herself a swift and powerful dragoon and edging on a win against her aerial techniques our Ania shows off her mercenary sight by suddenly stopping when the fight drags on for too long showing more loyalty to herself than the Empire they continue their travels not forgetting to reclaim any royal arms from tombs they find along the way including one deep in a misty forest guarded by a fearsome Bandersnatch where ears show she could hold her own in a fight - arriving at cape Khayyam it turns out Sid needs some mithril to get the boat fully restored and the group agrees to obtaining some the gladiolas quietly tells noctus he has some private business to take care of while they go get the metal understanding the group splits up for now while at the same time Luna Freya has arrived in Odisha and Umbra continues sharing a journal on his own Gladio meets with the Marshall Corps and wishes to take on the trial to Blademaster after suffering a resounding defeat at the hands of Ravus Kaur explains to face this is to face death as Gilgamesh waits beneath ruins they uncovered thirty years ago and no one has ever returned except for Kor himself course courts him and early in Gilgamesh introduces himself as he was the first shield of the first king of lucious and will test not only the strength of his body by the strength of his heart and will between the various trial rooms Kor shares like Gilgamesh believes onda strong should survive and Gladius own father never took the trial as he was too attached to the King to leave his side even for this also when Kor was young at first took this trial Gilgamesh cut him down to size with a humiliation tempering his brash ego but still allowed him to live succeeding through the many rooms including a duel with gilgamesh's partner in ki do the voices along the way doubt a true shield for the chosen King can come from an age that has only known peace facing down Gilgamesh again they battle on a big bridge as Gladio pressures the blade master not to underestimate the Crown's guard men by fighting him with one hand - back during the clash Gilgamesh gives Gladio a fresh scar but Gladio wins the duel admitting afterwards he may not be fearless but he will protect the king the best way he knows how Gilgamesh accepts a strength of will and gifts him is Genji blade and blessing a power alongside a token gain from core as it was Kor who actually took Gilgamesh is armed during his trial core is impressed that Gladius accomplishment that not even he could achieve and with the focus and strength garner from this gladiolas begins to head back to catch up to the group meanwhile travelling to the ruins where Cindy said they could find some mithril the party of three passes through some wet woodlands and topple an imposing tree it outside another royal tomb arriving at the ruins there somehow unsurprised to find art and already there with the Imperial Army but once again he somehow knows they are down a man and need mithril graciously extending his aid in helping them RNA is there - alongside her subordinates biggs and wedge and while she clearly sees through the antics because there's no gain for her to fight it she lets them go their way in fact she's currently being paid to escort them and so she joins the party as they delve into the ruins together which is only open at night as they explore the group talks are Ania who openly voices her lack of support for many the Empire's projects including the current one which is collecting and harvesting demons from sites like this and turning them into weapons recently she's been thinking of leaving the army and going back to being a simple mercenary and she cannot stand the top brass of the Emperor high commander or Chancellor together they faced on a legendary Quetzalcoatl and after following this mighty foe they secure their or as our na a shares that the Empire's magitek troopers are actually made in a lab from demons as they leave both sides part with more respect for each other and ignis receives instructions from Cindy that they are to take the mythril to that power plant and loss column and refine it their RNA gives them a lift there noting if there is some trouble being reported at the power plant before heading off checking it out they learned that demons have infested the plant and destabilized the generators so Noctis is sent in to clear out the enemy threat he meets up with another hunter already inside noting he sounds very familiar and together the duo make quick work of the demons before things go critical crisis averted the stranger is indeed Gladio sporting a new scar but also brimming with a new confidence as he rejoins the group and indulges them all in a perfect cup of delicious noodles they resume their trip back to kake I am now swing by the whining outside the crown city or a savage Jormungand has battled and defeated and a fiery volcano is climb revealing another royal tomb descending into the dismal depths of a deadly dungeon moving walls and magic traps pit the guise against scores of burly foes culminating in two taking down an imposing Jabberwock and earning themselves yet another royal arm spelunking into a demon stand toxic pools and abomination Sat the team's efforts for more treasure and after it all knocked us hears back from Luna that she is ready for him in all Tisha arriving at cape Khayyam quarries there to see them off and he apologizes for not being there to protect the king CID waves it away saying there was nothing that could have stopped that but what Noctis needs to remember are the friends by his side now as they are more than just his bodyguards they're his brothers loading the regalia on board CID takes the helm as they wave back to IRA's and tell kit finally setting sail for all tisha at the same time Arden and Ravus are already there preparing for the hide rien as ardent coyly points out he knows the cost of the Covenant with it and how Ravus his real goal is to slay Leviathan and save his sister back with a group as they sail Ignace passes along here say that Ravus actually where's king reaches his sword since insomnia is fall but curiously has yet to wield it pondering what that could mean CID also recommends they contact the last of their old retinue wescam who has a place in all Tisha when they arrive as they get closer they hear news report that the Empire is actually preparing to some of the hide rien and leading this would be lady Luna Freya who was previously reported dead to the public finally arriving in all tisha proper CID stays with the boat in regalia while the group explores the streets and canals in the aquatic capital they spot a memorial exhibit showcasing Yuna Freya's dress that once was in remembrance of her passing and now of her safe return as a group encourages Noctis to continue wedding plans after this is all over taking SIDS advice they visit West Kim's floating bar and as he recognizes and greets the prince he reminds them that while a quarter was technically an independent nation the Empire still runs everything behind it in fact that people wonder why the Empire is seeking to summon a deity that is likely to wreak havoc on the city they don't speak for long as the first secretary a leader of a quarto camellia steps in and introduces herself aware of noctis's arrival as well she cuts to the chase telling him Luna Freya is in her care and the Empire's demandingness are under her she says she refuses until her country stands to gain something from it and so she has a mind to talk to the current leader of lishus noctus inviting him to her estate with the offer more of an obligation Noctis visits the first secretary in her office in his political savvy is put to the test to engage negotiations as would be fit a king while she does not mind releasing Runa Freya nor her endeavour to summon Leviathan to help noctis she knows it will result in war in the streets against the Empire and she has no interest in hosting a battle in her city she will allow noctus and the group to fight a proxy battle here provided they prioritize citizen safety and evacuation and understand all tisha will not be aiding them in battle noctus succeeds in earning camellias trust though after he leaves she speaks with Luna freights and prepare her for the rite as imperial troops surround her at gunpoint not intimidated she leaves to address the public while Noctis and the others take position around the city she speaks to the public of how the light of the world is being swallowed by the darkness but not to give up hope as she will do now her part to help the light and commune with the hydron noticing and nodding to noctus in the crowd beginning the rite that called the Oracles answered but the proud goddess Leviathan has not convinced she should bother helping the humans unflinchingly luna reminds her she has to help the king of kings and restoring the light and angered Leviathan tries to devour Luna however Luna Freya shows she is no pushover herself driving the hydrant back with her own royal arm the Trident of the Oracle gifted from Bahamut himself respecting this Leviathan then commands the king to prove himself worthy else she will begin devouring every person here just in time Prompto gives knocked us a lift borrowing a ride from the Empire to dart around town with a furious torrents of Leviathan behind them latching on to Leviathan proper knocked his deals with a strong-willed deity by demanding her power and challenging it directly while they duel a weakened Luna Freya is approached by Arden who asks her to give nacht as the ring she has suddenly stabbing her and adding that she should remind him about the crystal - he mockingly calls out to Noctis who was beaten down by Leviathan and helplessly watch as Luna follows Arden makes his exit determined Luna freya uses her power to restore an empowered Noctis with radiant light bolstering him with awesome power able to easily subdue the raging deity and loaning her traded for him to use to finish the fight an exhausted Noctis is laid to rest by a suffering Luna as Titan now emerges to defend them from the by as well in his mind Luna now Thaksin Octus where she says she has finally fulfilled her duty but cannot join him for the journey ahead noctus by moans that all he wanted to do was save Luna chosen one or not and struggling TOEIC Sara Luna drifts away saying goodbye and giving Noctis the ring of the lucy i sharing his role as a true king is to bring back the light and promise him to keep watch over him at the same time agnes hurries to rescue the unconscious prince from the altar gaining a hook-shot from a fallen enemy enabling him to zipper on the rooftops of all tisha as fighting against the Empire ups in the streets Ignace spots high commander Ravus speaking a caligo the commander of the first base they raided who got away as Ravus borders on withdrawal so Noctis has a chance to survive Calico notices Ignace and gives chase for the sake of revenge also claiming aspirations of the ring for himself defeating the foolish commander and his custom mech caligo scrambles to escape again but has finished off by Ravus who steps in though teaming up with Ignace to defeat the empire he claims it's not to help Ignace but rather help himself rescue both Luna and noctus carving a path forward Ravus reveals his main goal has always been protecting Luna even when it cost him his arm for once trying on the ring of the Lucy I believing he was fit to dispel the darkness the Empire also wants the ring for itself so to thwart that it's better if noctus lives though this doesn't mean he's allied with them after all he still never forgotten or forgiven king regis for abandoning tenna bride to the empire in order to say just Noctis arriving at the altar agnes notices prenup collapsed over and getting close he receives a vision of a prophecy being fulfilled by Noctis succeeding in the end approaching the Oracle in the prince they see they are too late to save Luna Freya and outraged Ravus blames Noctis for this forcing Ignis to defend a blacked-out Noctis from his rage fighting Ravus says anger and grief with a reason and quick combat Ignace edges out of victory in their duel as Ravus calms down and cradles his dead sister he mentions that even in death an Oracle cannot rest until the darkness is dispelled and to verify that a graceful form of Luna Freya appears and vanishes to the realm beyond already now arrives or troops that attain both of them about to kill Noctis in front of them but a Ravus prevents that distracting Arden from the Wraith illusi eye that falls from noctis's hand and rolls of vagueness or the single strike he knocks down Revis and makes the offer for Ignace to join him instead but defiantly Ignace stands up and refuses taking the ring of the Lucy eye and putting it on Arden mocks him for his foolish move but Ignace knows of a Glade can do it so can he calling out to the past Kings to lend him enough strength to save the true king approving his cause Ignace pays the price of power with his eyesight as they burn with new divine light able to push back at Arden and persuade him to give up for now succeeding at protecting Noctis Ignace collapses next to him as Ravus walks in with new respect for Agnes he leaves to continue his goal of helping restore the light his way but he wishes the best for Ignis and now for Noctis as well Claudio and Prompto of the crystal where he learns he will be there until he becomes a vessel for the light and with its power can destroy the immortal arden and restore light to the world he further reveals that Arden was once considered for King by the crystal but because he sacrificed his body to contain so many impurities his tainted soul was rejected by the crystal and so he has not only been kept alive by the demonic power but forbidden to ascend to the round beyond for over 2,000 years he has waited to assert the true King as revenge and Noctis needs to end his madness the power Noctis will receive will corpses of king regis nyx of the kings clave lady Luna Freya and Emperor II dolis challenging him to take the throne noctus Ignace gladiolus and Prompto stand firm to end things Arden begins by blowing away his friends and ensuring the duel between Kings stays private revealing he to bears the Royal Arms the ability to warp strike and the Armiger ability the kings of old lay witness to the fated duel of light versus dark and has knocked his clashes with Arden who bears a copy of every royal arm noctus gets the leg up with one weapon artoo never had the sword of the last king his father striking him down and winning the fight defeated art and wonders what Noctis will do now and the new king replies he will have art and rest in peace as he is super king now fades and leaves for the afterlife rain now falls as the friends now see knock this off to finish his final duty noctus gives them parting words akin to what his father told him asking them to walk tall in his stead now and now sits down on the throne thinking of those he loved in life summoning the ancient kings now he collects all of their power within himself and the crystal as final king his father hesitates but obeys the calling and trusts in his son helping him pay the blood price and delivering him to the realm beyond as powerful light bursts out noctus returns to the heart of the crystal where a smirking Arden has indeed ascended however his corruption would be cleansed here as art in a surprise to see the will of those bearing light alongside Noctis and Noctis begins purifying the accursed finishing him off with a combined might of the kings he brought here with him finally ending the long night the prophecy the film knocked us now falls to scattering into light as the ring of the Lucy I and the Royal lishus bloodline also end as the game ends we see the night before where the friends were once again around a campfire as Noctis admits that while he's made peace with himself being here with them one more time is simply overwhelming him with emotions truly accepting these our brothers he will soon leave behind noctus reaffirms they are truly the best to Ignis in particular who was known in the longest noctus thanks and for the good times and for sticking with him in the hard times though blind Ignace can clearly see the friend before him as Noctis says they may not be together by his side anymore but they'll always be together in his heart back to the present the Sun rises on a new day over EOS as the darkness has been banished and star scourge has been eliminated in the halls of
