hey welcome to other sort of beers Jackie barbecue so I'm Craig man normally we've done the cameras Jack not here with everything going on Pennsylvania's supposed to be getting out of the red zone where we live and hopefully Jack and I already have a plan and how we're gonna get together to shoot some things or we can still stay away from each other but still get better quality because he has all the equipment here and doing all the good stuff that he does with the cameras and the lighting so today through acts of ribs I've got three different rubs got a new toy it's firing up back there it's a rec tech 590 so no ambitions about getting a pellet grill was kind of looking at it when the Weber smoke fire came out kind of turned me off a little bit when all that happened but my wife's company had a great deal on a rec tech they partner with him so couldn't pass it by put it together yesterday did the first burn in last time we actually made pizza turned out fantastic so kind of excited to try the ribs so come back to the intro we're gonna show you what rubs I'm using and then we'll get them on the grill so we'll see you soon [Music] [Music] okay so three records from Costco I've already removed the silver in silver skin on the backside of the ribs I did season all the backsides already which was in that first clip that didn't tell you what was on them yet did trim them up a little bit again these are for home use so don't care what they look like to me more meat is better so I don't mind Samantha's only thing I did trim off was some time notice when you get those you know you might get a cut on a bone that's partial bone or a broken bone so I removed kind of any issues that I don't want to have as you're eating these and dealing with a broken bone or a chip or something like that so that's what I've done already so on the top rib here rack here trends from the Northwest the experienced barbecue dry rub so no YouTube channel out there doctor tastes good use this recommended it so I ordered some it's good I use it on a brisket it's pretty good but he's used it on on ribs so that's what I'm gonna do with this one now so middle one is my go through standard the pork barrel BBQ seasoning from Costco so my wife likes this one it's a small rack she usually has a little bit of these typically I ended up cutting these into sections freezing them and they up being my lunches along the way and the final one here I tried two different things so not just for beef it's a S&S grills rubs no salt in these so it's kind of cool season a snake your dry Brown a steak add some seasoning before you put it on because you already put the soul in there you don't need more so this one actually works out nice so putting this down first and I saw some new or a cop sriracha I've seen this elsewhere not to but red hot I love red how the wings got a try here with just adding a little bit since this will bring some salt into it and bring some heat into it as well but I always love the flavor of red hot not sure if it's something you should put on weight on ribs but you don't know to try I also don't know how much the code on these things at this point yet because I've never used it before yet alright gonna let them sit in the girls private the temperature of my lemon sit here for a little bit we'll take you over to show you the new grill and then get the ribs on but I mentioned it before that little piece there is one part of that it trimmed off it was all just meat putting straight red-hot on that one so see how it turns out okay so there it is the rector check 590 it's like their middle sized pellet grill from what I saw they have some other products that you know really they look into those we were deciding between the small one and the medium-sized one just because of the other girls they have here didn't feel I needed the biggest one they had so this one actually could fit multiple racks of ribs as you'll see once we open it up but I didn't do an unboxing because pretty simple to put together pretty much put the legs on the handles and clean everything out and put together was nice and easy so like I said did pieces last night ran in about 450 pieces turned out really good can't wait to try to perfect that a little more will actually show a video of somewhere along the way but just the rips are now so to show you inside real quick lots of cooking space for the mid-size so go get the ribs and put them on all right so there you have it have the girl running at 250 I'm gonna probably leave this girl for good two hours for you can look at him at that point maybe we'll show you independent what it looks like I'm not sure yet but I'm thinking about doing three hours to 50 just to get it going here and then I'm assuming I'm gonna wrap at that point so still trying to figure out the cook but one see how everything looks as we go along okay so I'm gonna wrap him up now so I did this is almost a three right around three-hour mark at this point so after the first time I did check him I ended up spraying him on the hour then at one hour and two hour and about two hours for four minutes just before I started setting up here spreading which is some New England IPA I just want to keep a little moisture room I'm actually going to dump just a touch of mooing and I pay on to them as I wrap them up here I don't people to see that on camera a nap but I'll just wrap them up and get it back on the grill so let's see what they look like color is pretty looking they're looking pretty awesome I was gonna bring the temperature up to about 275 so I got that little piece in the corner over there I'm gonna let that go maybe next hour I might be trying that for my little snack so we'll bring it back out here when I unwrap them all right so I did take a peek at him at one of them just to see the rat and it looks like they're ready to come out of the wrapping and go back on you'll notice a little morsels going over there I was a good treat and just having red hot that powder on was fantastic so I'm gonna sauce part of the one in the middle gentlemen sent us some barbecue sauces Bohemian Rhapsody this one's called mango mango narrow so I didn't try this one yet I might try some the others and they're actually very good they're very low in salt and no sugar so I'm just gonna hit this is the one with the pork barrel seasoning in it we'll hit this up pretty good probably just half of it it's almost like a salsa in a sense it's nice and thick it's gonna be nice when this sets up on here it's gonna let this go about 20 minutes before take a peek Adam then we'll show you what they look like but looking good so far all right they've been on another 25 minutes here everything should be set up nice gonna pull them off bottle that nice this is one that has a sauce in the one end so don't leave them sit up so what's gonna wrap them for a few minutes I'm kind of hanging out for about 10-15 minutes then we'll get them on the cutting board and we'll do some taste testing so we'll see you shortly as always Cheers all right so here we are at the end of the cook brand-new rec tech 590 pellet grill as they came Friday put it together yesterday cleaned it did it burn in SF new made some pizza on it last night which turned out great and today thought I'm gonna try ribs so I have three different racks of ribs here got them all at Costco I trimmed them up some pulled the silver skin off coating with different rubs so on this top rack here actually use rinse the experience is BBQ dry rub it's actually a Northwest company dr. tastes good is the YouTube channel that actually saw it on the first time he did it all ribs I used it once in brisket which turned on nice but I wanted to try to rip so that's one up top here which looks great this middle one has SNS grills not just for beef so there's no salt in this rub which is kind of nice good if you dry brine a steak you can actually add some rub to it without worry about getting too much salt in it and I also hit it with some Frank's redhot outer which I never saw before got it at Costco just another day and thought I'd add to it a little salt to it and a little bit of heat to it and this bottom rack here I had my this is a pork barrel seasoning that would get from Costco my wife likes that one I made half of it of just rub only I did the rub on the one but then I had half of this at the very end with Bohemian Rhapsody Meghan their own barbecue sauce so I'm expecting a little heat and a little sweetness in that one we'll see how it turns out but the cook itself was had the rec tech running about 250 degrees well I shouldn't say about because this thing you put it 250 and it was rock-solid for the entire time except for when I open it up and spritz like every our thing ran great so after about three hours I wrapped it and there wrapped for about an hour and 20 25 minutes because I just took a peek at everyone to see make sure it wasn't getting to Falls to bone because I do like Falls to bone to a point but they were ready to go so I pulled them out I put them out of the foil put him back on to let him set up again and then I added some of the Bohemian Rhapsody took just half of the one rack so that's where it was and I was on for about 25 minutes I forgot to mention when I wrapped him I turn up this 275 for that hour and 40 hour and a half hour or 40 minutes just to let him get a little more heat on just so I could finish them off I kind of often do that when I do different things I'll on other grills you don't have the luxury of just turning a dial you have to just some veins but this one here turned the dial to 75 left it there the last 25 minutes I turn it back down at 250 he let it finished off so let's cut into some do some taste test and we'll go from there I have to actually this one cut already because I was starting to to do the ending and I forgot to take a drink so had to start over so this looks nice it's hard to see I apologize for not having a close-up here with Jack not here kind of makes things a little bit more difficult to do the different angles and multiple shots like we do yeah that's you definitely thought good that's a good stuff Wow and I'm not like I said oh yeah you follow our town you know I don't use the sauces on a lot because I don't like the sugar that one has some sweet to it and then boy the habanero kind of hits you I mean that's gonna enjoyable on that one so this is one that has just the S&S grills and the Franks red hot this one's falling apart on me but not a problem look at that kind of coming apart so that one actually this was in the front row this was in the middle and I'm curious and where that was going to do they seem to cook pretty evenly though so let me get a piece off here so I can taste it it's pretty hot that rooms good as well I said I like to not just for beef rub itself and I added a little francs just to get a little kick to it that's go after the last one here like I said that first one fell apart that second one fell apart me this one seems to be a little better it is pulling apart there's some bones pulling out I said some people call it overdone for me that's actually the way I like them I like to eat my ribs oftentimes I'll even do flips with a fork so I can sit there kind of pull the meat off and go from there so that rub is good as well it's kind of a little more neutral just a touch of sweet and that's a BBQ dry rub experience so I'm pleased with the way that thing worked today made it easy control from your phone I didn't actually do any screenshots my phone on this cook but I probably will in the future kind of show you what goes on with it but boy really happy with what's going on this so hopefully you like Racine subscribe the channel click the little bell get notifications every time I put a video out and we'll see you next time you
