what's going on guys welcome back to another episode so today we're gonna be working on this 2016 BMW m4 first thing we're gonna do is go ahead and remove these seat belts I want to get them shipped off as fast as possible so that way when we get the car done on the outside we can put them back in it we're not waiting on parts and I want to ask you guys what do you guys think about changing the color of these seat belts I know the seats are red already and the car is gold so I'm thinking we're just gonna do a little red stitch on the seat belts let me know what you guys think so let's get to removing these thing all right so the first thing we're gonna do is go ahead and get this rear seat out it's basically the same concept on every coupe you want to get the rear seat out and then we're gonna go ahead and dig into this panel this is where the seat belt is actually located in there let's get this seat out [Music] so we took the seat both out it's pretty easy actually I thought it'd be harder on a BMW but these see both are actually going to be shipped to a company called safety restore they do color changes and they also rebuild see boats so if you need your seat belt rebuilt or a color change make sure you hit them up so now that we have the seat both taken care of we're gonna go ahead and get this car on the frame right [Music] the car on the frame rack but before we can start securing this car to start pulling we need to get these side strips off [Music] so we have the right side screwed off now we're going to go ahead and take off the left side skirt and secure the car [Music] so we have the car nice and secure and you might be wondering why we're not using the clamps that we usually use on all the other cars well BMWs are made a lot different instead of having the pinch weld down here it's actually right here so there's no way to clamp it and I don't have the special attachments because we don't really do BMWs but we also have it nice and secure right here there's a special hook point they have these special clumps right here and they go in there so it's going to hold the car really secure so we're gonna go ahead and bring the post over here and start pulling at this rear I want to get this area out like this I'm going to pull it this way because if you seen by the bumper it's actually hid like this so we're gonna go ahead and grab this area right here pull this out and then we'll start pulling it this way [Music] [Music] [Music] go ahead and connect some of this metalwork so now that we have the rebar up on the go ahead and start straining all this metal with my body hammer and Dolly [Music] so we have everything pulled out pretty good now when you put the bumper brackets back on and test it the bumper [Music] so we went ahead and put the bumper on everything lines up really nice do you guys remember the tail I was sucking in but we got it pulled out everything lines up good there this gap also looks exactly like the same on this side we wanted to get some new bumper brackets because it is causing the bumper to sag a little bit right here so it'll be getting some new brackets we're not going to do anything the bodywork down there we're going to just do that one over we take the car off the frame so now we need to go ahead and get started in the front we need to start pulling this rebar out I want to get it pulled out and we have some new brackets and a rebar to go on here so let's go ahead and get the frame post over here and start pulling this this carbon-fiber strut bar because these things can probably break pretty easy moved a little bit when I unscrewed it pretty good sign now I wanted to go ahead and pull this rebar out so we can take it off [Music] we got the rebar pulled out now we need to go ahead [Music] [Music] so now that we have everything off now we're gonna take these bracket off right here it's a support bracket remove this radiator I can see is busted right here that's where all the water was going so let's get all this off [Music] so we have everything taken apart now we can see exactly what's damaged and honestly there's not much stuff damaged the radiator for the inner core is actually damaged so we will have to order a new it and there's a bunch of vents that are broken which isn't major everything else looks pretty good the frame rails look like they're straight check out both sides these pieces look like they're good and another good sign is the gaps on the hood and the fender are actually perfect so that's that actually means that the frame is not bent usually once the frame gets bent these brackets right here will push out with the rail so that's a big sign of frame day but everything looks good on this car guys a lot of work done on this imports coming along really nice this car is an exciting project if you enjoyed this video go ahead and smash the subscribe button and don't forget to follow us on instagram at v2
