in this video we're going to be ranking national anthems from 1 to 11. let's get started here we got god save the queen the national anthem of the united kingdom that is my british accent let's have a listen oh this is a good one [Music] that's so epic isn't it not the ship i don't care about the ship but i think the english national anthem does exactly what an anthem is supposed to do it's like epic and it gives you goosebumps i think it's a solid 9 out of 11. well done british people next up we got the national anthem of the republic of colombia oh unfading glory [Music] sounds like a musical [Music] what does germinates mean germination is the process by which an organism grows from a seed or similar structure okay so goodness now grows basically [Music] i don't know man that was pretty lame it felt like a musical number in a bad musical not gonna lie y'all are getting a 4 out of 10 colombia here we got the anthem of the russian federation classic [Music] this is mean to oblivion [Music] is that a bear an eagle isn't that america i'm confused [Applause] i mean you can think what you think about russia but this is good music okay that is definitely one of the best ones is like way cooler [Music] yeah slight goosebumps yeah i mean it's a classic it's very very good however i would say it's a little bit uneven like the ending the finale is really great but some of the parts like early on like gleaming is awkward for example [Music] there's great parts to it but overall it's not the best i'm gonna have to give it an 8.5 out of 11. well done america but not quite exceptional by the way shout out to ian berwick who made the compilations and montages for the national anthems in this video here we got the national anthem of south africa [Music] it's weird that national anthems is kind of a genre nothing really stands out that much it's like at some point we decided like this is what national anthems are supposed to sound like and then all of them sound pretty much the same why doesn't the us have like a britney spears song as their national anthem or sweden should at least have a pop song come on because swedes write all the best pop songs like that's nice that's like protect and they show an elephant protect the elephants okay south africa i'm gonna be honest with you that was pretty forgettable i'm gonna give you a solid 5 out of 11 because you're nice and you got the elephants so don't send the elephants after me i'm scared of them here we got the national anthem of france oh they got the eiffel tower i thought the eiffel tower was in in the land of eiffel was in france [Music] a bloody banner wow morbid okay [Music] what no no no no chill out french people stop it what no what impure that sounds very slytherin-esque the song wasn't bad the lyrics kind of made it a lot worse for me you're gonna get a 2 out of 11. you should rewrite those lyrics to something else that is very just scary i'm never going back to france man here we got the national anthem of switzerland which i'm sure a lot of you guys will be like oh joel that's your country not my country i'm from sweden we'll get to my national anthem in a sec but this is switzerland not sweden am i the only one who thinks that their flag looks like an ambulance or something let me know in the comments [Music] oh my god they got airplanes there [Music] yes skiing that's what i'm talking about [Applause] [Music] a little bit pitchy yeah that was nice i did really enjoy it it doesn't stand out that much but it has some really nice moments i'm gonna go ahead and give it a 6.5 out of 11. well done switzerland not sweden sweden we're getting to in a little bit my personal national anthem only mine here we got the national anthem of bhutan where even is bhutan i'm like pretending like i know like oh bhutan of course bhutan a buddhist kingdom on the himalayas eastern edge is known for its monasteries fortresses and dramatic landscapes that range from subtropical plains to step mountains and valleys that's cool it's like kind of where anime protagonists go to learn from the buddhists to fight or stop their heart or whatever magic you have in your anime [Music] [Applause] [Music] spiritual and secular traditions [Music] this is like impossible to sing that was very very weird i'm sorry guys it was interesting but you're still getting a 2 out of 11 you know both because it was very weird and hard to understand and also because it was a little bit messy the way it was performed by the way have you listened to living for that by little picture yesterday it's the only song that can save the world listen to it here and here and here save the world listen to it spotify do it here we got the national anthem of the pharaoh islands i don't know where that is either oh so it's like north of the united kingdom it's a self-governing archipelago part of the kingdom of denmark it comprises of 18 rocky volcanic islands between iceland and norway so it's like a bunch of volcanoes also sounds like an anime thing i don't know i just watched too much anime i guess everything sounds like anime to me [Music] nice get some rhythm to it it's very nice i love those birds that was very pretty i think i like it a little bit more because it sounds like scandinavian music like it's kind of the music i grew up with so i'm a little bit biased i'm gonna go ahead and say that that was a 6.5 out of 11. well done pharaoh islands here we got the national anthem of india [Music] cozy [Music] i love female singers from india it always sounds really good and they're always like really on point a lot of the male singers from india i'm not as into but that like first thing i was like oh i'm gonna love this and then he came like [Music] pretty modernized [Music] that sounded so much like that old song that had so much promise but didn't deliver india you're getting it 3.5 out of 11 could have been so good i think another version of it could maybe have been a lot better i was talking about earlier how everything sounds like the same genre this one stood out in the arrangement and everything i don't know if it's an unorthodox arrangement but it was fun to hear something a little bit different the melodies definitely stood out a lot as well in a good way not in a bad way like that other one here we got the national anthem of kazakhstan [Applause] very nice i can't believe he actually did that that's pretty funny let's hear the real one [Music] take a look at my country [Music] i like this that's though [Music] that made me think of oh back with the enemies again kind of sound a little bit like something that could be in attack on titan i'm going to give kazakhstan a 9 out of 11. that was really cool and i've never heard it before i love when i hear something i've never heard before and i'm really into it next up we have the national anthem of [Music] sudan sounds like a song some pirates are singing in a cheap movie [Music] i like that that is a 6.5 out of 11. well done next up we've got argentina's national anthem it's a mountain guys [Music] this is great editing what happened this is funny [Music] i mean i like it it's very advanced got many parts hard to know what was the song there and what was the arrangement and the singer again i was talking about how everything was the same genre before this stood out quite a bit as well however i have no idea what was going on it was too much going on uh i'm gonna give it a 4.5 out of 11. it was good it was difficult to follow weird but everyone was really talented and probably very attractive next up we got the national anthem of jamaica i have high hopes for this [Music] [Applause] [Music] very classic type melody for this [Music] i like the piano playing that was dope i'm gonna go ahead and give it an 8 out of 11. i don't know why we're doing 11 today but it's very special because the numbers all go to 11. just roll with it roll with it okay it's time for the swedish national anthem my anthem and the video for this is from the channel duke of canada let's have a listen he sounds like he's got something stuck in his throat it's like a kermit thing going on why yep that is my anthem of course ellen just kidding just kidding i don't even think it's that good the swedish anthem is like 6.5 out of 11. i would say
