all right I'm going to do something I have never done before in my 10 years of doing YouTube I'm going to rank my top 25 NBA players of all time and this was insanely tough to do I'm 24 years old so there's a lot of these guys that I never got to watch live there's a lot of these guys that my parents weren't even alive when some of these guys played in the ' 50s so yes those older guys are basically going off of Legacy accomplishments statistics and who knows if social media was a thing back then a lot of those guys could look maybe as good as the guys today or if the trainings and workouts and Recovery systems were the same maybe they could hang in today's day and age so I just wanted to do this for fun and provide some discourse going into the 2024 NBA season CU there's some current active NBA players on this list so I have five honorable mentions any one of these guys could be there at 25 to 20 and I'd be perfectly okay with it and those five are Rick Barry nicolea yic Dwayne Wade elen Balor and Isaiah Thomas so without further Ado let's get into it all right so let's start off with number 25 and that is going to be an active NBA player Giannis anmo so the 2024 season is going to be giannis's 11th year in the NBA he was drifted back in 2013 he definitely had a slower start to his career I mean if you looked at him when he was drafted at 18 years old he was insanely skinny insanely raw as a prospect and it took him four years in the NBA to really become a superstar at all time he's averaged 22 and 1 12 points 9 and a half rebounds and five assists shooting around 54% from the field and we're currently watching his Peak from 2018 the current day where he's averaged 29 points per game 12 rebounds 5 and 1 half assists over steel and block andite as well as shooting 56% from the field he's been one of the League's best defenders and offensive players basically in his prom you can say he's top three on each side of the ball when it comes to Counting statistics he's already a two-time MVP a seven time All-Star a Finals MVP when the Bucs won it all in 2021 and he was the best player on that team he's got five all MBA first team honors and two all NBA second team honors in the 2020 season he won MVP and Def Defensive Player of the Year in the same season and in 2021 when he won Finals MVP he was also All-Star MVP that year and he's still only 28 years old coming in at number 24 we have Steve Nash the legendary point guard Steve Nash played 18 years in the NBA debuting in the 1997 NBA season like Yannis it did take Steve Nash's four years to really develop and get acclimated to the NBA level he spent time on three different teams he started off with the Suns then spent a few years in Dallas then went back to Phoenix for his prime and then finished up his career with the Lakers averaged 14 points three rebounds and 8 and a half assists throughout his career as well as a 49% field goal percentage 43% three-point percentage and a 90% free throw percentage this dude was the definition of efficiency and oh yeah he won back-to-back MVPs in 2005 and 2006 he was an eight-time NBA Allstar and he's one of the greatest passers of all time he's coming in at number 24 speaking about Elite alltime NBA passers we got John Stockton coming in here at number 23 what holds back Stockton for being higher on this list is he never won an NBA championship throughout his career in 19 Seasons he averaged 13 points 10 and a half assists and shot 51% from the field 38% from three and 82% from the line he was also an Iron Man as well 16 out of those 19 Seasons he played in all 82 games for nine straight Seasons from 1988 to 1996 he led the NBA in assists at 133 points 1 throughout those select Seasons averaging also 16 points while being super efficient as well he did lose two NBA Finals to Michael Jordan in 1997 in 1998 and he was a 10-time NBA All-Star as well so Charles Barkley is coming in here at number 22 that's three straight players that never won an NBA title Charles Barkley played 16 years in the NBA for three different teams which included the Philadelphia 76ers the Phoenix Suns and finished up his career in Houston throughout his 16 years he averaged 22 points 12 rebounds and four assists T night while shooting 54% from the field he was an 11-time NBA Allstar he was an 11-time all NBA member he was the 1991 allstar MVP as well as the 1993 NBA MVP like John Stockton Charles Barkley did lose his only NBA Finals to Michael Jordan in 1993 when he was on the Suns and yet not getting that ring will ultimately hold back from Barkley being higher up on this list coming in at number 21 we have a legend from my generation and it's Dirk nitzki so I may be lower on D nitzky than some of you guys would have he played 21 years in the NBA all for the same team the Dallas Mavericks he averaged 20 points 7 and a half rebounds and 2 and a half assists throughout his career with 47% field goal percentage 38% three-point percentage for his 7ot power forward and 88% from the line as well he was a 14-time NBA All-Star a 12-time all NBA member he won the 2007 MVP and had one of the greatest playoffs in NBA history winning the 2011 NBA Championship as a massive underdog against the Miami heatles when he was the finals MVP in that Victory defense and other lack of playoff success will ultimately hold back from Dirk being higher up on this list but yeah Dirk's Prime from 2003 to 2011 will always be legendary coming into number 20 we have the Admiral David Robinson like Dirk David Robinson only played for one team throughout his career 14 years with the San Antonio Spurs he was the number one overall pick in the 1987 NBA draft he couldn't come over right away cuz he had to fulfill his military service with the US Navy but once he debuted in 1990 he was already one of the best players in the NBA in those 14 years he averaged 21 points 10 and a half rebounds while shooting 51% from the field he was a 10-time NBA Allstar an eight-time all defensive member a 10 time all NBA member he was the 1990 rookie of the year the 1992 defensive player of the year the 1995 MVP he also had a scoring title as well in 1994 where he averaged 30 points per game and he's a two-time NBA champion as well he's one of the greatest overall centers of all time coming into number 19 we have Dr J Julius Irving now I'm including both the ABA and the NBA into this as well so that's why I have Dr J so high 16-year playing career where he was a 16-time NBA All-Star every year of his career he was an All-Star but yeah with those 16 Allstars he was a 1983 NBA champion he was a 1976 all defensive member seven time all NBA five time all ABA he was a four time MVP a two-time All-Star MVP as well he's a New York legend for sure coming in at number eight 18 we have Moses Malone Moses Malone played 21 years in the NBA for a plethora of teams most notable though with the Houston Rockets in the Philadelphia 76ers in those 21 years he was a 13-time All-Star eight-time all NBA member he was a three-time MVP he won that 1983 NBA championship with Dr J he was also the finals MVP of that finals as well he did spend some time throughout the ABA like Dr J also and he's one of the greatest big men in NBA history he's coming in at number 18 love talking about guys from my generation I got Kevin Garnett coming in at number 17 kg is arguably the greatest defensive power forward of all time in 21 years in the NBA he averaged 18 points 10 rebounds 3.7 assists and over a block and steal a night as well he's a 15-time NBA All-Star he won the 2008 NBA championship with the Boston Celtics he probably would have had a lot more playoff success if he didn't spend a bunch of years with a very underwhelming Minnesota Timberwolves organization because he really wanted to win a title with them man it just couldn't happen he won the 2004 MVP with them he won the 2008 Defensive Player of the Year award he was a 2003 All-Star MVP nine time all NBA four time rebounding champ and a 12-time all defensive member kg is a goat on the defensive end of the floor so coming in at number 16 we have Carl Mone coming in at number 15 we got Jerry West man the logo himself 14 years in the NBA where he averaged 27 points six rebounds and 6.7 assists this guy was balling out before my parents were even born so yeah he really is an NBA legend when he was a 14 time Allstar a 1970s scoring champion a five-time all defensive team member a 12-time all NBA team member he was the 1969 Finals MVP and oh yeah I already mentioned it but he's the logo he's iconic he's got to come here this high on this list coming in at number 14 we got the Big O Oscar Roberts Mr triple double himself throughout his 14-year career the Big O averaged 26 points eight rebounds and 10 assists a night while shooting 49% from the field and 84% from the line he spent his career with the Cincinnati Royals and the Milwaukee Bucks throughout the 60s and early 70s a 12-time All-Star a 1971 NBA champion a 1964 NBA MVP he also won the Rookie of the Year 1961 he's a six-time assist Champion throughout the regular season and 11 time all NBA member all right we got another active player coming in here at number 13 I would love to hear what you guys have to say about him in the comments where would you put him and that's Kevin Durant oh man I'm going to be really upset when Kevin Durant retires he's going to be going into year number 16 he was drafted back in 2007 second overall by the Seattle Super Sonics in his 15 years he's been an All-Star 13 years he's a four-time scoring champion he may go down as one of the greatest scorers of all time a two-time All-Star MVP a two-time Finals MVP when he won with the Warriors in 2017 and 2018 he was a 2014 MVP and he had iconic Seasons with the Thunder the Warriors but it's definitely hurt his career a little bit at least with his reputation if it didn't hurt already going to the Warriors after they went 739 in 2016 but then spent two years in Brooklyn requested a trade and is now in Phoenix so let's see how high Kevin Durant will rise throughout the rest of his career coming in at number 12 I got the dream himself hakee elijan hakee played 18 years in the NBA seven with the Houston Rockets and then one final year with the Toronto Raptors in 2002 in those 18 years Hakeem averaged 22 points 11 rebounds and 2 and a half assist T night while shooting 51% from the field he was a 12-time All-Star a 12-time all NBA member he was the regular season block Champion three different times as well as the regular season rebounding champion twice he won two defensive player of the years he was a two-time Finals MVP winning in 1994 and 1995 going back to back he also won the 1994 MVP award as as well and he just misses the top 10 another player that just misses the top 10 is an active player and I do think he will be top 10 when it's all said and done and that's Stephen Curry so yeah I do have Steph number 11 on this list he's going to be going into year 15 he was the seventh overall pick in the 2009 MBA draft it did take Steph a few years to really become Elite player in the NBA but that's perfectly normal in those 14 years he's averaged 25 points five rebounds and almost seven assists T night while shooting 48% from the field 43% from from three and 91% from the line he's a four-time NBA champion he won the 2022 Finals MVP award he's a two-time MVP being the first unanimous MVP in 2016 a two-time scoring champion a nine-time all NBA member and oh yeah he's the greatest shooter of all time and has changed a generation of basketball forever all right so let's start off this top 10 with Kobe Bryant he was my favorite player to watch growing up and Kobe was an 18-time Allstar in 20 years in the NBA he was a five-time NBA champion a two-time Finals MVP he won the 2008 MVP award a 12-time all defensive team member a 15 time all NBA member hack even has a 2018 Oscar award he averaged 25 points five rebounds and five assists throughout his career and he's one of the greatest scorers of all time at number nine I got Mr fundamental himself Tim Duncan Tim Duncan played 19 years in the NBA all with the San Antonio Spurs from 1998 all all the way to 2016 he was a 15-time Allstar a 15 time all-nba member a 15 time all defensive team member he's a two-time MVP a three-time Finals MVP winning five NBA championships averaged 19 points 11 rebounds and three assists throughout his career he may not have been the most entertaining player the biggest personality but he is in my opinion an 100% Undisputed top 10 player of all time one player that I really don't know how to rank because a lot of his Awards and accolades came in the 1950s and 60s but they're really hard to not rank any bit lower on this list and I got Bill Russell so yeah Bill Russell comes here at number eight who was a 11 time NBA champion played 13 years in the NBA and won the NBA title 11 different times he was a 12-time Allstar 11 time all NBA member five time MVP he was also a successful coach in the NBA as well averaging 15 points 23 rebounds which is just wild to say and four assist all time and I'd love to hear where you guys have Bill Russell in the comments below coming in at number seven I do have Larry Bird Larry Bird played 13 years in the NBA being drafted in 1978 he was a 12-time All-Star a 10 time all-nba member three-time NBA champion two-time finals MVP he won the MVP award three different times he was such a vital part in NBA history throughout the 1980s in his 13-year career he averaged 24 points 10 rebounds and six and a half assists ton night while also being one of the greatest shooters ever 50% from the field 38% from three and 89% from the line a guy that will always be ranked right around him is going to be Magic Johnson who I do have coming in at number six Magic Johnson also played 13 years in the NBA averaging 19 and a 12 points seven rebounds and 11 assists throughout his career magic also averaged 52% from the field 30% from three and 85% from the line he was a 12-time Allstar a five-time NBA champion a three-time MVP winning finals MVP in all three of those he's one of the greatest passers of all time and it's a shame him and Larry's careers weren't longer coming in at number five I have Shakil O'Neal who might be the most dominant player in NBA history sha played 19 years in the NBA a bunch with the LA Lakers and then with a plethora of teams to end his career in those 19 years he averaged 24 points 11 rebounds two and a half assists one broken backboard per season he shot 58% from the field he was a 15-time All-Star a four time NBA champion winning Finals MVP in three of those and those three were also in a row when the Lakers three repeated he was a three-time All-Star MVP he was the 2000 MVP 14 time all NBA three time all defensive and like I said he was the most dominant player in my opinion in NBA history coming in at number four I got wil Chamberlain he played 14 years in the NBA most notably with the Lakers the Sixers and the San Francisco warriors he was an All-Star in 13 out of those 14 Seasons a seven times scoring champion a 10 time all NBA member four time MVP winner the 1972 Finals MVP winner he started off his career being the scoring champion in the first six seasons in which in 1962 and year three he averaged 50 points per game 25.7 rebounds he averaged over 48 minutes a night which is just wild to even think about and oh yeah he's the alltime single game scoring record holder with 100 points coming in at number three three I got Kareem Abdul Jabar Kareem played 20 years in the NBA and for a lot of those Seasons he ended up finishing as the all-time scoring record hold her until we'll get to somebody later in this video but yeah those 20 Seasons 19 time Allstar two time scoring champ four time block champ 15 time all NBA averaged 24 and 1 half points 11 rebounds and three and a half assists throughout his career he's a six-time MVP winner six time and a six-time NBA champion as well and he was a Finals MVP in in two of those he's a six-time MVP winner six time and a six-time NBA champion as well and he was a Finals MVP in two of those all right so here it is the top two this is what everybody debates about pretty much every day and has been going on for the last five seasons so at number two I'm going Michael Jordan and I think the reason why I chose Michael Jordan at two and not at one is because I watched the number one player in my opinion of all time throughout his career I never watched Michael Jordan I Believe if I was a fan in the '90s I would say Jordan over LeBron but I think it's just a generational thing when it comes down to it so maybe not a physical dominance like Shaq but Michael Jordan just playing out dominated the NBA from 1991 onwards the man played 15 years in the NBA was a 14-time All-Star he was a six-time NBA champion two different three repats he literally three repated from 91 to 93 didn't play go and went and played minor league baseball with the Chicago White Socks came back in '96 to play his first full regular season back won at all 97 won at all and in 1998 won at all in those six NBA championships he never lost the finals 6 and0 six-time Finals MVP was one of the greatest defensive guards in NBA history beat so many Legends in the finals as well like Stockton balone Gary Peyton and Charles Barkley and yeah I I need to know in the comments do you have them at number one because at number one for me yeah I got LeBron James like I said I think the reason why I chose LeBron over Jordan is because I watched LeBron's career for the most of it like I became an NBA fan in 2006 and he debuted in 2004 in that regular season in which LeBron went on to play 20 years he's still an active player he's the alltime scoring champion 19 time Allstar 19 time all NBA four time MVP and I do feel like he should have a couple more of those he's won four NBA finals and has gone to 10 different finals as well from 2011 to 2018 he went to the NBA finals that is just insane to even say with two different teams as well the Heat and the Cavs he's won Finals MVP for three different teams the heat the Cavs and the Lakers and he's still going strong man going into year1 as a 38-year-old so yeah let me know what you guys think in the comments below I'd love to hear maybe some of your top 25 players of all time and who they are if you didn't enjoy it appreciate drop it a thumbs up cuz these are always tough to do I love you guys and I'll catch you on the next one peace
