[Music] [Music] hey guys Evan over 95 here coming at you with my first-ever non-numerical Star Wars ranking video today we will be ranking the Jedi grandmasters from weakest to strongest however before we get started I need to lay down a few disclaimers firstly this list is going to be based exclusively on the known GM's of the legends continuity as Disney at the time of this recording has only saw fit to grant Yoda the Grandmaster title and no one else secondly when I say weakest to strongest I am referring to the entirety of the grandmasters skill set not just a relative strength in the force to put it simply this list is going to be ordered in terms of who I think is capable of winning a fight against everyone placed beneath them this means that the list will take into account factors such as physicality martial arts training tactical sense abilities Force abilities force power level of experience feats and overall knowledge of the Jedi arts finally while Odin Nomi Sunrider kool Skywalker and cook were never officially referred to as the Grandmaster in their respective comic series or presided over all of the Jedi Assembly's Nomi is allegedly given the title by the force and destiny core rulebook coal is stated outright to be the leader of the Jedi Council prior to the OSIS massacre cock rook was the elected Jedi representative in the Galactic Federation triumphant and frankly all four are clearly leading the order at their respective point in time so I will be including them with all that out of the way let's get started kicking off our list we have Zim now this may sound rather harsh coming from me but not only is Zim without question the weakest of the Jedi grandmasters he is quite possibly one of the most pathetic masters the order has ever produced let me put this into perspective here you have a Jedi who is elected by the council to be the leader of the entire order served in an era rife with conflict with some of the most dangerous if in galactic history was specifically noted to lead the council through many years of strife and he gets one shotted by braided braids in a freakin bounty hunter of no significant reputation kills him with negligible difficulty seriously I can't stress enough how ridiculous this is the fight literally lasts all of three panels Zim deflects a few of Braden's blaster shots throws him back with a force push then gets effing one-shotted when the Bounty Hunter whips out a tiny rocket no no just just know up next we have bill duct abyss easily the most obscure of the grandmasters duct Avice was an accomplished Jedi whose major claim to fame was that he led the order through the end of the conflict known as the pious Dean Crusades now on paper this may not sound like much as many Jedi over the centuries have resolved large-scale conflicts however things become a lot more apparent when we consider just how bloody insane the pious Dean Crusades were for those of you who do not know the pious Dean Crusades were a galaxy-wide series of hot and cold Wars that lasted over a thousand years they were categorized by a rampant wave of religiously motivated human centrism and xenophobia not only were the Republic's borders expanded by way of pushing entire alien species out of their systems but there were also presumably military crusades leveled against entire species of nonhumans any Jedi who could help see an end to something like that must be packing some serious Heat furthermore duct Avice by default of his position and the current political climate would have needed to preserve the alien lives being threatened while simultaneously keeping the Jedi from appearing as though they were actively opposing the Republic such a task is incredibly daunting and would have required a person with an innate understanding of combat and a strong connection to the force in order to pull off another important factor to consider is that Beall was also elected to serve as Chancellor following the war's end which really speaks towards the guys intelligence and tactical prowess since running the galaxy is no joke unfortunately I just can't bring myself to place duct abyss any higher on the list as we simply don't know what his capabilities were beyond his fleeting mentioned actions in the Crusades coming up after bile duct abyss we have addressed apena also known as the green blade while Grandmaster Pina does suffer from the same lack of characterization as duct abyss he has the benefit of actually having some noteworthy combative accolades under his belt first off the guy is armed with twin katanas which he imbued with force energy marking him as a jar Chi specialist and a practitioner of the force weapon ability both of which being indicative of great skill his skill set was pushed to the next level by his mastery of more etro an extremely powerful force ability that allowed users to literally will a targets internal organs to slow to the point of death furthermore as a noted battle enthusiast who believed that order and structure were the underlying basis of civilization Pina also would have possessed a keen tactical mind that was likely based around a very precise and methodical fighting technique a very useful thing to have when you're a grandmaster especially during the first Great Schism where conflict was practically a daily occurrence while we're on the subject of the Schism green blades badassery was added Zenith throughout the conflict having lead Jedi forces to victory against the dark side legions of Leto on key world such as shann driller Brent al for Metro less Khorasan and Columbus during the final battle penis forces also slew renowned warriors such as Sethu asingle and tune Bowie before Pina himself bested generals and/or the leader of the legions and presumably their strongest member in single combat although I'm sure many would be willing to downplay a Drizzt apena since he got taken out by Adrian Lyne it should be stressed that she was a noted master of terrace kaze a fighting style specifically designed to subvert force wielders an extremely powerful Dark Jedi that Zander himself rated highly enough to become his lover and was armed with a powerful conditioner talisman that allowed her to shatter his katanas and embed the shards in his body it wasn't like he got taken out by a garden-variety Jedi Knight or Sith acolyte no nothing like that addressed apenas a beast no ifs ands or buts about it back when I first started drafting notes for this list I initially had Grand Master fake joven below green blade due to her comparatively lacking combative feats but then I went back and read through her writings on the Jedi path just to brush up on her real quick and realized that hey this woman is actually pretty freakin powerful when you really think about it what I mean is that face stands out amongst the other grandmasters as a prime example of brains over brawn renowned by many of her peers for her fairness Kovan sentries in the Jedi path showcase an immense knowledge of Jedi lore and an innate understanding of the light side of the force seriously I can't hype this up enough people she quite literally wrote the book on many of the basic fundamental practices of the Jedi Order including how to take a Potter on learner become a Jedi Grand Master and transcend death due to this immense intelligence and the fact that she would have presided during the new sethe Wars Grand Master Colvin's tactical mind would have been extraordinary and was easily a key factor in the orders reorganization following rusyn reformations in regards to martial-arts combat while we may know nothing about the ins and outs of her technique I have no doubt that someone as smart as her would have known a thing or two about swinging a lightsaber her viability as a fighter would have been further enhanced by her physiology as a member of the Janet species Faye would have been an excellent runner climber and swimmer and her flexible body would have allowed her to squeeze through openings as narrow as 12 centimeters by disjoint in her long limbs and separating her cranial plates essentially an amped Luminara Unduli Cove ins physiology would have made her a devastating physical combatant due to the sheer amount of angles she would have been able to physically achieve furthermore while phase upper limit in regards to her force abilities are unknown she was confirmed with the ability to lift all six of the multi-ton Munter stones while in meditation a feat that Yoda not only calls impressive but one that he himself admits to being unable to accomplish after passing 700 this means that fake joven is actually able to achieve an application of telekinesis that Yoda can't don't think there's anything more that needs to be said up next we have qu crook granted I may be wrong in placing a crook here beneath everybody else considering we've never actually seen what he could do during his time as Grand Master but based on what he was capable of during the dark times and factoring in an extra 100 years I simply can't see anything here that puts him above Oh Dan no me CTO Cole especially not Yoda or Luke that said he's still an incredibly powerful and skilled Jedi in his own right possessing talent and every attribute this list is based off of physically kkuk rook was incredibly strong being able to thrash around humanoids like nobody's business and resist frigid temperatures thanks to his whipp'd physiology as far as durability goes well his entire schtick is he simply will not die no matter what you do to him I mean the dude was described as interminable by General Grievous that alone should tell you all you need to know about what he can live through while many like to downplay cook rooks lightsaber skills since he lost every duel he's been depicted in it should be noted that a asajj ventress and General Grievous were better than like 90% of all other duelists in their era so losing to them isn't as big a deal be cock rook was kinda kickin Quinlan boss's ass before the Kiffer resulted to his force abilities not martial arts to subdue him and see despite losing Cooke was able to present a challenge to all three of his opponents so he was never completely out of his depth further testament to his skill with the blade can be found in his survival of order 66 where he managed to take down a large chunk of the clone troopers in his company before seeing many younglings to safety and going into hiding on the world of Akina tactically cock rook was an experienced battlefield general who led many Republic campaigns to victory a wise teacher who cared deeply about the welfare of his students and an acute political representative whose efforts were vital in the rehabilitation of the galaxy following the second Imperial civil war while by no means the strongest force wielder around ku crook was skilled in all the basic Jedi arts and even possessed a strong aptitude for force healing and the hibernation trance both of which being indicative of exceptional force ability his skills with telekinesis were also considerable being able to blow away large groups of young shori throw at least nine sentient beings into a transport hold up several tons of collapsing rubble and even pull down in or hauler with only a moderate degree of strain on the whole while ku crook may not be as renowned a Grand Master as addressed apena or fake joven I think it's safe to say that if we take his feats in his youth and add 100 years of potential development that he comes out as an overall superior combatant to the two of them if only by a slight ma taking the next spot we fittingly have Odin earth the founder of the Jedi Library on Isis and now while I'm sure a lot of people are going to be like what the heck are you talking about oh and as a bookworm he's not stronger than cooked okay look look look people here's an excerpt from the power of the Jedi source book literally saying that Odin Earl was the equivalent of Yoda in his era that's some pretty impressive billing that really isn't all that far-fetched when we truly consider what this guy could do physically her may have been obscenely old seriously he's like over a thousand however his Drath Ossian traits still granted him many impressive abilities like projective telepathy and various fighting options in the form of claws and sharp teeth martial arts wise her may have had a disdain for physical combat however he still proved himself capable of dispatching assassins with ease and was credited with mastering an array of weapons from simple to blaster based it was in his tactical sensibilities and command of the force where the Grandmaster truly outshines those ranked below him like fake joven Odin was obscenely intelligent as proven by his spending nearly all of his free time researching Jedi lore being one of if not the first Jedi to decipher a Sith holocron creation of the Jedi Code and military prowess in the great hyperspace war as you'd probably expect from a Jedi who spent the better part of a millennia learning or possessed a powerful connection to the force as well as a wide and diverse skill set though his upper limit with force empowerment and force healing are never clearly specified both showcases understanding of the Jedi basics and give way to a more nuanced combative viability the Grandmaster was also a formidable wielder of telekinesis being able to casually produce blasts strong enough to override XR freakin Coons defenses and throw him bodily across his library further testament to Odin's considerable power was his mastery of the sever force ability which was an incredibly rare and difficult power that as the name implies actually cut off a targets connection to the force itself though we have never actually witnessed him employing it in a fight his prowess must have been considerable due to his ability to train his unknowing successor Nomi Sunrider in the art in such a short span of time thanks to his death OSI and makeup Odin's telepathic prowess was pushed far beyond the standards of a typical trained force wielders Mind Tricks beast communication empathy all were within his capabilities and all were elevated to the master level these skills were pushed even further by his mastery of Farsight which involved the comprehension of future events through the force now well this may sound like a bit of a reach on my part but considering that non forceful joseon's could employ broadcast telepathy with any number of sentience within 500 meters then I believe it's safe to say that a Jedi as powerful as Odin could project much much further than that if need be foremost amongst his telepathic abilities was his mastery of battle meditation which he first used during the unification Wars which took place when he was still a Jedi Knight in case you're unaware battle meditation is a rare Force ability that considerably boosts the morale stamina and overall battle prowess of an individual or their allies while simultaneously reducing the opposition's combat effectiveness by eroding their will to fight and confusing them it is literally one of the most difficult and powerful abilities of force wielder can possibly learn and Odin earth can use it as a knight yep case closed he's a badass moving on now that we've gone into the top 5 it gets a little bit crazy so be prepared up next we have Nomi Sunrider now Nomi Sunrider is a very interesting case because her placement so high on the list has less to do with the combination of many attributes and more the absurdity of a single attribute however before I explain what I mean by that I don't want people going into this thinking that know me only excels in one area of the Jedi arts she most certainly does not physically she possessed incredible stamina and durability being able to fight entire armies for long periods of time and survive point-blank magic attacks from the likes of King omen though not a committed lightsaber duelist she was still able to take down hordes of criminals and Sith warriors without much issue as far as tactics goes Nomi like many of the other grandmasters previously mentioned proved her mettle as a military commander during her conflicts with the crafts cult and the Sith order and even helped organize the Jedi Order into a more stable body after Exar Kun killed the Supreme Chancellor the thing is is that all of these attributes impressive as they may be simply pale they pale in comparison to Grandmaster Nomi sunrider's force abilities granted I don't want to say that Sunrider is galaxies ahead of the Masters I ranked beneath her in terms of force power but based on showings well yeah it's pretty and arguable that she comes out on top I'll just go ahead and start running through what this magnificent woman has done with the force before cuz damn now at the very beginning of her career the very beginning I'm talking before master Thawne even agreed to formally train her Nomi was able to use an instinctive application of battle meditation to ward off a set of darkside dragons that inhabited the force Nexus known as lake Nath remember how impressed I was that Odin could use the ability as a knight yeah well Nomi could do it from day one after she was provided with formal training she took her natural aptitude with BM to the next level not only was Sunrider able to coordinate large-scale engagements and turned the tide of entire invasions but she was able to dispel the force illusions cast by the powerful Sith sorceress Alima kitto during the fleet battle of Kouros major and later in single combat during the Battle of Sinha gar though not often employed Nomi was also a capable wielder of telekinesis her entry and the Jedi Academy training manual crediting her with the ability to move heavy objects as well as the offensive force slam ability she also possessed considerable skill with the advanced to to Menace ability being able to deflect blaster bolts with her bare hands while only a freaking Padawan during Exar Kun 's last stand on Yavin for Sunrider aided in the creation of a wall of light side energy that trapped kun spirit in his temple finally just when you thought she couldn't get any more insane Nomi was also as mentioned able to master the powerful sever force ability her skills with the power were such that at the climax of the Sith war Sunrider was able to completely sever the powerful Sith Lord Lulla killed Roma's connection to the force despite being in literal tears at the time due to the death of her close friend kcal drama honestly the only reason I didn't place Nomi Sunrider higher on the list is because her non force related attributes don't really stand out compared to those above her and while I do think her force abilities are insane she is very much a product of the times her skillset being almost completely geared towards engagements with sorcerer style combatants rather than the more practically focused grandmasters of later eras still not to be underestimated not even close moving on to number 4 we have kool Skywalker the second known member of the Skywalker line to hold the title of Grand Master now the first thing that needs to be understood about why Cole is so Opie is the ridiculous amount of hype that surrounds him while the character does die in the first issue of legacy literally a quarter of the series from then on as spent telling us just how badass the Grand Master was again and again we are told by some pretty credible sources that Cole Skywalker was the greatest Jedi warrior of his day which by default puts him above grandmaster cock rook as well as other notables like Wolfe saison shadow veil and his son Kade Darth krayt the big bad of the legacy series considered him in esteemed foe and even kept his lightsaber as a trophy NAT Skywalker who by the simple fact of being a Skywalker would have possessed a powerful connection to the force states outright that his brother understood the force in ways he never could and if all that still leaves you unconvinced you Jean Vaughn shaper neo Ren considered looking at Cole's essence as though she were looking at uni shell who was the freaking goddess of life in Vung is religion if that doesn't paint a picture of an incredibly powerful Grand Master I don't know what does granted this isn't to say that Cole's placement so high is due entirely to statements as you need more than that to make a good impression on this list fortunately for him what few feats we do have for Cole Skywalker very much fall in line with the accolades given to him as we see in the flashback portion of the legacy monster arc Cole's not only ripped his hell but possesses exceptional durability as he was able to fight off droves of vicious wildlife in effect in Mauritius despite his body being littered with cuts and scratches from the your coral growths encasing them his stamina was also highly developed as evident by his ability to fight continuously through the OSIS massacre which presumably took place over the course of several hours while we're on the subject of OSIS calls highly impressive skill what the lightsaber was on full display during this event demonstrating a mastery of both the single bladed and shark eye fighting styles and defeating hordes of stormtroopers and Sith alike before finally being overwhelmed by sheer numbers rather than superior skill if we take the various images presented to us in the comic at absolute base value this means that Col Skywalker just in his last stand not even counting the previous fights that took place off panel single-handedly killed up to ten stormtroopers and AIDS if warriors that's over triple what's a teal Shan and Ben's allo racked up during the Battle of Alderaan and the sacking of Coruscant it should also be noted that the Grandmaster quite literally one shot at darth nihilus of display considering nile was effectively the third or fourth strong a Sith of the era though perhaps not as combative Lee experienced as other GM's Cole possessed immensely high levels of tactical intelligence having written a detailed journal unraveling the schemes of the legendary Darth Sidious with the expressed intent of educating the members of the Galactic populace who couldn't understand the complexity of his plans and was particularly noted for his leadership skills in the realm of force abilities Cole Skywalker's upper limit may be relatively undefined however he was unquestioningly powerful and possessing of a wide knowledge base he displayed a mastery of all the Jedi standards including physical augmentation telekinesis and mind tricks with his RPG character sheet crediting him with an undisclosed aptitude with Farsight while this could easily just be my own personal head Canon seeping into what's actually been established Cole's ability to teach his son Cade how to combative Lee employ the shatter point ability strongly suggests that the Grandmaster held at least a rudimentary understanding of the power himself this would in turn push Cole's combative viability to an entirely new level since as we know shatter point is one of the most versatile and powerful skills a Jedi can have in his or her arsenal Cole Skywalker's greatest claim to fame with the ethereal energy field was his force ghost ability which enabled him to transcend the physical plane as an entity of the light side surviving his physical death while this power obviously has no combative applications it does speak volumes about the strength and depth of the grandmasters connection to the life force of the universe on the whole while Cole Skywalker definitely has the hype to be placed in the top three his actual feats impressive as they may be don't come quite close enough to warrant that kind of ranking and the massive holes in his skill set brought about by his limited exposure simply leave too much to the imagination for me to place him any higher than number four next above Cole Skywalker we have grandmaster Satya Shan now sometimes I wonder with her considerable skills if city'll could defeat Yoda but I don't think she's quite strong enough to even despite her ability to flawlessly utilize multiple abilities in combination with one another to alter the environment around her I still think yo de has more going for him at the end of the day for more details see this video link will be in the description still that's not to say that Shan isn't strong quite the contrary she's very very very very powerful easily one of the strongest Jedi the order has ever produced during the Sith empires invasion of Korriban which took place when Satya was still a Padawan she showcased her physical vigor by withstanding a knee to the stomach by free cyborg Darth Malgus recovering in like two seconds and responding with a kick that literally sent him flying across the hangar in which they fought slim but toned Satya was noted for her ability to incorporate acrobatics into her fighting style and her strength remained considerable even in her old age as shown by how her grip on Eldon axe nearly shattered the Sith Lords bones a wielder of both the standard single bladed lightsaber and the dynamic double bladed Satish and skills with Jedi martial arts were simply incredible her capability so advanced that she was singled out by Jedi battle master chaos and Iraq and was described by acts as fighting as though combat were life itself during the great galactic war Satya fought more Sith and Imperials than perhaps anyone around and came out ahead of more battles than she lost for more notable martial arts feats during this conflict include stale mating Dark Council level Darth Baras cutting through swarms of hex droids surviving an encounter with Darth eggroll and even outright defeating renowned Dark Council member Darth mecca's many years later she even helped defeat reven after his dark side had been tethered to the living plane Shands most well known displays were her actions in the infamous Battle of Alderaan which took place at the tail end of the war during the conflict Shan single-handedly defeated up to six Sith warriors and an imperial war droid before quite literally flinging herself into an intense duel with Darth Malgus who like Nile was effectively the third or fourth most powerful Sith of the era now while many people like to lowball seals sabre performance in this fight due to a number of factors most of the complaints I've seen leveled against her are well kinda unjustified first of all yes Jace Malcolm does intervene barreling into malgus and giving Satya a chance to blast him with a force push however let's not forget that Shan was dueling pretty evenly with the Sith Lord for like 90% of their fight so it's not like she was completely outmatched secondly while still does ultimately like I said end up winning through use of the force rather than her martial art skills that was only due to the fact that Malgus destroyed her lightsaber with a surprise cut effectively robbing her of any other means to attack finally while Darth Malgus was significantly less powerful than he was in sweaty was also quite young at the time and had yet to reach her grandmaster status so it's not like the differential would have drastically changed noted for her ability to inspire armies with her words alone Satya Shan possessed an acute tactical mind that was fostered by her extensive combat experience across multiple Wars though perhaps a little too reliant on frontal assault at times her strategies were effective enough to turn the tide of many key battles and her extensive knowledge of Jedi lore enabled her to train numerous Padawans to knighthood as you'd expect from a descendant of revin and Bastila Shan some exceptions notwithstanding of course Satya possessed a tremendous connection to the force mastering a wide assortment of abilities to aid in her many battles in addition to her prodigious physical augmentation Shan was also an extremely gifted telepath being skilled in mind tricks concealment and even Farsight the Grandmaster was also evidently capable of teleportation as we see with one of the dark side choices from sweat or as noted by master de Nala Satya also possessed an aptitude with battle meditation directly comparable to her ancestor bascule ax which is quite the praise given what we've seen her accomplish though we've never seen the Grandmaster employee offensive energy based powers Satya was capable of utilizing the advanced to to menace and well yeah remember how impressed I was with young Nomi Sunrider blocking a blaster bolt with her bare hand yeah well Satya Shan at a similar age was able to catch and hold a lightsaber blade that's pretty freakin insane speaking of insane sati 'ls telekinetic abilities were a sight to behold her basic force pushes were strong enough to shatter steel doors blow apart hex droids and send other force wielders flying several feet in any correction the sheer power behind these attacks could be so great that simply charging them up would cause visible distortions of energy to appear around her hands an effect that even the most powerful Jedi and Sith were often unable to produce during the Afra mentioned Battle of Alderaan Satya Shan unleashed a force wave at Darth Malgus that obliterated the entire mountainside he was pinned to the resulting injuries that Nagas sustained from this one attack were so great that he required an extensive and permanent cybernetic refit in order to keep himself alive how crazy is that on the whole grand master seal Shan is an absolute monster and due to the fact that her capabilities are so heavily flushed out I simply don't feel right putting her below Cole Skywalker plus she's a much more experienced fighter than Cole and is at least shown to have more abilities at her disposal while Cole Skywalker likely has a comparable connection to the force and is most probably a better lightsaber duelist than Satya I simply feel that Satya Yan is an all-around superior Grandmaster and of course unsurprisingly at number 2 we have Yoda the Jedi that most people think of when they hear the words Grand Master now setting aside those few moments where Anakin Skywalker tapped into his full potential Yoda was without a doubt the most powerful Jedi of the Clone Wars era numerous sources from the complete Star Wars encyclopedia to the prequel trilogy novelizations have credited him as one of the wisest and most powerful Jedi in the order's history he has been held in the same legendary regard as Thawne and Nomi and it was even implied in the novel Yoda dark rendezvous that Darth Sidious who is specifically credited as the most powerful Sith Lord in galactic history mind you would be annihilated if the Grand Master ever fell to the dark side as far as pure physical combat goes Yodas base stats may not amount to much due to his size and age but when force empowerment comes into play oh boy things become a bit more interesting he has shown the ability to overpower non force-sensitive individuals with ease carry a large Gatling gun on his back and overpower the augmentation of other trained force wielders during their battle in the Senate Hall Yoda was even able to match the force augmented speed of Darth Sidious who is described along with mace windu by The Revenge of the Sith novelization as moving so fast as to appear to be fading in and out of existence from the point of view of a distraught Anakin moving into his martial arts training Yoda was a master of all forms of Jedi lightsaber combat with the sole exception of vapid and was noted to have taken form for the Ataru style further than any other master of the era martial feats wise Grand Master Yoda may have a smaller sit he'll count than Kol Skywalker or Satya Shan however what he lacks in quantity he more than makes up for with quality during the Battle of Geonosis and later the siege of the Jun he engaged Darth Tyranus a being stated outright to be one of the best duelists of the age in a vicious lightsaber duel and forced him to retreat on both occasions his victory on the June is especially impressive since Tyrannis his connection to the dark side had been enhanced by the Darkseid energy saturating the planet Yoda has also proven himself to be a superior duelist to dark Sidious despite the Emperor having a similar mastery of all seven Sabre forms over the course of their first duel and that weird dreamscape Yoda pushed the Dark Lord back immediately and almost certainly would have won had it not been for the interference of Anakin or Spectre Anakin was he really there yes no I'm not sure later during their duel in a Senate arena Yoda held a similar advantage but took it to the next level by successfully disarming Sidious of his blade a feat that only two other characters mace Windu and Skywalker have ever been able to accomplish though an avid preacher of non-aggression Grand Master Yoda was an extremely capable combative tactician his centuries of experience granting him an in-depth understanding of a sentient being state of mind and their motivations his skills were such that he was chosen as chief military representative of the Jedi Order during the Clone Wars and led successful campaigns on key worlds such as Resaca Lejeune and Kashyyyk this understanding and experience also aided in the Grand Master's understanding of the force with a midi-chlorian count just under 20,000 and 900 years of study and training under his using enhanced mental persuasion to literally erase memories force concealment to hide his signature Farsight to sense events before they happened and force bonds to allow for the communication of thoughts and feelings across vast distances his talents even extended into battle meditation notably using it to bolster the morale of his clone troopers during the Battle of Kashyyyk though we have only observed him using the ability on a few occasions Yoda was also skilled in the use of force healing such as when he attempted to do so to mend padawan Kao during the Clone Wars as far as his feats with energy based powers are concerned Yoda may have never shown the ability to catch a lightsaber blade however his application of to terminus was significant enough to hold back a lightning storm produced by Darth Sidious which is pretty freakin impressive considering Sidious is basically a Force Lightning demigod like kool Skywalker Yoda could also retain his individuality after death with his force ghost ability which while not a combative power does speak to the grandmasters understanding one of the most crucial points in discussing Grand Master Yoda's power is his overwhelming telekinetic prowess even when operating in a calm state Yoda was capable of creating telekinetically reinforced air pockets powerful enough to withstand the vacuum of space lift five of the six muncher stones cause a snowy avalanche to burry large groups of droids and knock out two red guards with a wave of his hand when dragged into combat and forced to act as the aggressor Yoda could become well and truly devastating during the initial stages of the Battle of Khorasan he summoned up a force grip powerful enough to lift an entire army of droidekas into the flight path of dozens of cis fighters and employed a targeted push to heave multi-ton troop transports back into their landing craft before forcing the Landers to collide with one another later on he conjured a force wave in conjunction with mace Windu that annihilated an army of battle droids inhabiting a chorus on T bridge feats directly on par if not surpassing settles Mountain smashing at the end of the day Grand Master Yoda epitomizes the qualities of a Jedi Grand Master both in his wisdom and his power and his hype and showing speak for themselves unfortunately for him the same thing can be said about our pick for the number one spot coming in at the top of our list is Luke Skywalker the first Grand Master of the New Jedi Order and the face of the Star Wars franchise itself now while it is debated as to whether or not Luke possesses the same intrinsic potential as his father just about everyone can agree that he is without a doubt the most powerful Grand Master not just in the ngo's history but of the Jedi's history as a whole there is no one below him on this list with the possible exception of Yoda who has been credited with nearly the same degree of accolades nor have their feet scaled to the same level just as with his descendant Cole we are told on numerous occasions by many sources that Luke Skywalker is the most powerful Jedi of his era which also by default puts him above notable council masters like kyle katarn Kip durin saba 17 and Koren horn as well as those of his bloodline with a similar force persuasion like Leia Organa Solo Jaina solo fell and the incredibly powerful Jason solo even before he reached his peak Luke was stated outright to possess the potential to surpass Darth Vader and Emperor Palpatine which is quite the praise considering that the former was 80% as powerful as the most powerful Sith in history and the latter was the most powerful synth in history after coming into his own Luke Skywalker's connection to the force was so significant that simply sensing him was described by Jason as though he were witnessing a star going Nova lost tribe member Vista Carr considered the Grand Master to be the most powerful being she could think of despite the fact that she had in-depth knowledge of Grand Lord dodgeballs abilities and had experience battling freaking a Balazs host bodies speaking of which Avalos a literal force demigod still considered Luke Skywalker's power a threat despite being over a dozen times stronger than him though not as tall as his father nor as bulky as his descendant Luke was still a highly formidable physical combatant he has used a combination of base physical strength and force augmentation to withstand the blows of the hulking carve aster a being who has overpowered mace windu desaad a force empowered chess story loamy Pleau who has been shown to overpower a bug cruncher and a velov who's well a demigod while i won't exactly bounce off the walls over Luke's ability to outpace Darth Vader due to his handicaps I will give him major props for his ability to contend with Sidious his force augmented speed which as we've discussed is utterly ridiculous the Grand Master also showcased incredible stem and durability managing to hold down intense lightsaber duels for incredibly long periods and you know not dying after having abalos tentacles rip into him Luke was even able to physically contend with Darth Titus despite the latter's considerable youth tanking his punches and even managing to deliver a kick that lifted the Sith Lord a meter off the deck on which they fought in the realm of martial arts Grand Master Luke was basically everything Yoda was but more he was a master of all seven forms of Jedi traditional lightsaber combat as well as new fighting styles created by the njo like the three rings of defense and was even noted for having trained and more esoteric martial arts on more worlds than beings like Furion had fingers and toes combative feats wise Grand Master Luke may also have a slightly lower sith kill ratio than others but the quality of his opponents cannot be undersold throughout his life he engaged in multiple duels with the dark lady Liu Maia eventually managing to kill her during their duel on temper on while these engagements are often overlooked in favor of Luke's other victories it should be stressed that Liu Maya was one of the deadliest beings in the Empire service with several council level victories under her belt including tresina low B and Mara Jade Skywalker so beating her is nothing to thumb one's nose at chief amongst Luke Skywalker's feats of lightsaber combat are his victories against renowned duelists Darth Vader and Darth Sidious though he did receive some form of aid in both instances be it righteous fury against Vader or Laius force harmony interference against Sidious the simple fact that Luke was able to even contend with such high caliber swordsman before reaching his prime showcases immense skill with the blade and its philosophies by the time he reached his grand master status Luke was capable of contending with masters sill gall and Kip durin in a sparring match defeating hordes of lost tribe of the Sith members and even best supreme overlord shim rah in single combat despite the fact that he was immune to the force during the second Galactic Civil War Grandmaster Luke also fought a vicious duel with Darth Titus and would have undoubtedly killed him had it not been for Ben Skywalker's Darkseid interference later on he cements his superiority by stating outright that he could defeat Titus if he really wanted to but simply chose not to since it would leave him open to hate tactically speaking Luke's experiences and multiple Wars crafted him into an excellent commander skilled in piloting infantry espionage and even multi-system diplomacy his magnum opus in this field was his skills with psychological warfare often beginning fights with propositions of surrender to undermine his opponents initial resolve then escalating with various bids to conscript them to his cause a direct descendant of the most powerful natural-born force-sensitive in history grandmaster Luke Skywalker's connection to the force was unparalleled within his time and his understanding of Jedi lore newphew bounds I've already mentioned his notable feats of force empowerment so I won't add anything more here aside from saying that they are immaculate as far as the rest of his skillset is concerned Luke possessed in enormous repertoire of abilities ranging from basic Jedi techniques to some of the most obscure and powerful force abilities and adept can have these include but are not limited to Mind Tricks beast control foresight sense long distance communication projective telepathy healing foresight meditation battle meditation battle meld battle mind memory rubbing force illusions astral projection shadow point immovability concealment selective concealment pain resistance electric judgment - two minutes mecha door the baron doe lightning rod technique the baron de la Yosef technique the Anya sink four strands ability the Anya Singh folds face ability mind walking melon throb awareness and the force ghost ability as you'd probably expect after all that grand master Luke's telekinetic abilities were also highly developed and versatile even when fighting calmly his basic force pushes were powerful enough to stagger large groups of stormtroopers create cyclones of loose objects guide the trajectory of shadow bombs and pulled down 80 80s when backed into a corner and forced to step up Luke like Yoda could so massive destruction though rarely glimpsed the sheer power behind the grandmasters attacks could like say Till's caused visible surges of energy to appear around his body which as mentioned is indicative of tremendous strength during the invasion of artorias he unleashed force waves and surges that devastated entire armies of ujin bonk soldiers quite an impressive feat considering that Vong were immune to most forms of force based attacks what was that that's not insane enough for you okay how about that time Luke TK stalemated in ant Lord Nayak's a guy hyperbolically implied to be powerful enough to crack a world in two no need more all right well he also unleashed a blast powerful enough to buckle a Balazs legs still not convinced well there was also a time where Grand Master Luke manipulated a black hole yeah that happened during the early Vaughn war Luke used all of his telekinetic power to stop and manipulate an artificial black hole created by Dovan Basel that's I mean that's like stupidly awesome but ya know I'm done there's nothing I could say to follow that up that feat alone pretty much guarantees that he could probably solo several of the lower ranked grandmasters even if they were working together against him on the whole Grand Master Luke Skywalker is ridiculous I mean he's the main character and a prodigy so I guess
