Bowl 47 MVP Joe Flacco LED Baltimore to five straight playoff appearances to begin his career and his 96 wins are the most by a Ravens quarterback as a rookie in 2008 Flacco led the Ravens to 13 wins touchdown he is Houdini Jackson was just as good through the air that season leading the league in TD passes his 37 wins before age 25 are the most by an NFL quarterback in history before Flacco and Jackson Kyle bowler was the original Ravens first round quarterback but he was largely disappointing winning just 20 games over five seasons number 26 the Chicago Bears this team boasts 38 members in the hall of fame most of any NFL franchise but only one quarterback who played his entire career with the Bears that would be windy city Legend Sid Luckman who was one of the most prolific passers of the 1940s the five-time first-team All-Pro LED Chicago to four NFL championships in seven years and Luckman had a knack for setting NFL records too in 1943 he became the first QB to throw for 400 earn playoff births in 2002 2004 and 2006. number 24 the Atlanta Falcons the Falcons all-time QB room is an underrated one and if 28.3 didn't happen Atlanta could be higher on this list but Matt Ryan is far more than just a second half Super Bowl collapse touchdown Atlanta on top of owning every major passing record in Falcons history the 2016 MVP sits among the NFL's top 10 in all-time passing yards and touchdowns Ryan was the 2008 offensive Rookie of the Year and led Atlanta to the playoffs six times in the early 2000s everyone wanted to be like Mike Michael Vick that is the 2004 Madden cover athlete was lightning in a bottle and habitually broke NFL records most notably becoming the first QB to rush for a thousand yards in a season in 2006. [Applause] touchdown his 6109 career rushing yards are the most ever by a QB with more than half of those coming in Atlanta Vic averaged seven yards per carry in his career an all-time record for any quarterback from one former first overall pick to another Steve bartkowski Took Atlanta to its first ever playoff appearance in 1978. he led the league with 31 TD passes in 1980 and posted a league High completion percentage in 1984. barkowski sits behind Matt Ryan as the Falcons number two all-time passer while barkowski was the first Falcons QB to lead the team to the playoffs Chris Chandler was the first to lead them to a Super Bowl in his first two seasons with Atlanta Chandler made back-to-back Pro bowls with the second coming during that 1998 season number 23 the Detroit Lions while similar to Atlanta Detroit's all-time QB room gets a slight Edge because of their Hall of Famer Bobby Lane the legendary signal caller threw more touchdowns than any other player throughout the 1950s Lane paced the NFL in passing yards in his first two seasons as the Lions starter and won three NFL championships in six years from the Lion's second leading passer to their first Matthew Stafford second on the franchise's all-time list did you know Dave Craig is just one spot behind Joe Montana in all-time passing touchdowns Craig played 12 years in Seattle and made three Pro bowls he's second only behind Wilson with 70 wins as a starter with the Seahawks plays like this certainly helped that cause Craig back to pass Derek Thomas comes in and Craig breaks the tackle of Thomas Craig crews in the end zone it's called touchdown Seattle I don't believe it Jim Zorn is the fourth twenty thousand yard passer on Seattle's all-time list he was the first ever quarterback in Seahawks history and had a solid run into the late 70s and Earl early 80s number 21 the Minnesota Vikings making a name for himself as an elite scrambling quarterback Fran Tarkenton is one of 20 Vikings players to earn a gold jacket record-breaking 291st career touchdown pass one of the most iconic players in NFL history Tarkington ranks seventh all time in rushing yards by a QB The 1975 MVP LED Minnesota to three Super Bowl appearances and is over 33 000 passing yards and 239 touchdowns are both franchise records Tarkington held NFL records for all-time passing yards and touchdowns upon retirement Dante Culpepper won a division title in his first season as the starter with the Vikes the Dual threat QB played much like Tarkington just in a way bigger body [Applause] [Music] [Applause] the three-time pro bowler had a season for the ages in 2004 throwing for a league best 4717 yards and 39 touchdowns both Vikings single season records from 2000 to 2004 only Peyton Manning had more touchdowns than Culpepper through just five seasons Kirk Cousins already ranks third in team history in both passing yards and touchdowns he's made three Pro bowls in Minnesota and led the Vikes to two playoff trips in 2022 cousins engineered the largest comeback in NFL history back to pass green left to Dalvin turns it up outside the numbers of the 40. gets to the 50. that isn't 27 to 1510 touchdown [Applause] and the Minnesota Vikings have completed the greatest comeback in the history of the National Football League Tommy Kramer had large shoes then to fill as the successor to Tarkington in the 80s and he was Dependable throughout the decade between Kramer and Wade Wilson Minnesota made five playoff appearances from 1979 to 1989. Norm van brockland only spent the tail end of his career with the Eagles but in 1960 he won MVP and an NFL champ ship in what would be his final season Philadelphia also had Sonny Jurgensen Roman Gabriel and Michael Vick as QB's albeit for short periods current Eagles QB Jalen hurts is as dynamic as they come guiding the birds to a Super Bowl appearance in just his second year as a starter Philly looks to be in good hands number 19 that Buffalo Bills headlining this list of great quarterbacks is the resilient Jim Kelly Buffalo's all-time leading passer guided the bills to four straight AFC titles [Applause] are in the Super Bowl Kelly won 83 games as a starter from 1988 to 1995. 15 more than any other NFL quarterback he made four Pro bowls throughout his career and recorded a league best 101.2 passer rating in 1990 the captain of the k-gun offense was a first ballot Hall of Famer in 2002. as the Jim Kelly of the 21st century current quarterback Josh Allen has resurrected the franchise leading the bills to four straight playoff appearances for the first time since the 90s what's up jumps over the Thunders to pick up the first now how many quarterbacks have you ever seen hurdle anyone Allen is the only player since 2018 with a hundred touchdowns through the air and 25 on the ground in fact his 38 rushing scores are the most by any quarterback since he entered the league there's no doubt Allen's Talent has been on full display but can he get Buffalo to the promised land Joe Ferguson took the bills to three playoff appearances and won a division title back in 1980 he was the signal caller for the League's top offense in 1975 throwing an NFL best 25 touchdowns Ferguson currently ranks second on the franchise's all-time list for passing yards and TDS number 18 the Cincinnati Bengals Cincinnati's all-time QB room is more stacked than you'd think the conversation starts with Ken Anderson one of the most underrated players ever [Applause] Champions it was a Bengal day the four-time pro bowler built a phenomenal career he was a two-time NFL passing leader and took the Bengals on four playoff trips from 1972 to 1984 Anderson was one of only two quarterbacks to pass for more than 30 thousand yards 1988 MVP Boomer Esiason was the second of three Cincinnati quarterbacks to lead the Bengals to a Super Bowl he was a three-time pro bowler in Cincy and one of the League's best quarterbacks in the late 80s only Dan Marino threw for more touchdowns between 1985 and 1990. he's got to get it out there it is to the end zone him he comes down with it from 31 yards and Cincinnati is heading to the Super Bowl wow Joe burrow no way Joe burrow is the next man up and he has skyrocketed to the NFL's top tier of signal callers the 2020 number one overall pick guided Cincy to back to back AFC Title Games in 2021 and 2022. Burroughs five playoff wins are already the most by a quarterback in franchise history the Red Rifle Andy Dalton is the franchise leader in touchdown passes he led Cincinnati to five straight playoff appearances to start his career Carson Palmer was the Bengals number one overall pick in 2003 two years later he helped since he win its first division title in 15 years many wonder what could have been with that 2005 Bengal Squad if not for Palmer's devastating playoff injury number 17 the Cleveland Browns this was going to go all the way running foreign it's hard to believe due to recent struggles at the position but the Browns lay claim to one of the most accomplished players in pro football history think Tom Brady level success Hall of Famer Otto Graham LED Cleveland to the aafc or NFL Championship in all 10 seasons he played the Browns won an astounding seven titles with graham leading the way his 174 career passing touchdowns are still a team record Bernie kozar's career started red hot with five straight playoff appearances including three Championship Games the Browns were rocking in the 1980s takes it in and it's a 7-6 game in 1986 he guided the Browns to their first 12-win season since 1950. his 489 passing yards in the 86 divisional round are the third most in playoff history a season later Kozar earned his only Pro Bowl nod perhaps Brian Sipe flies under the radar nowadays but his 1980 MVP award should suggest otherwise Cleveland finished with a top 10 passing offense every season between 1977 and 1981. Dan Fouts boxes out he's going to run now he throws there's a man open James Brooks touchdown San Diego with 59 seconds to play paired with the brilliant offensive mind of Don Coryell Dan Fouts and the superchargers were a force in the 70s and 80s Fouts led the Chargers to four straight playoff trips from 1979 to 1982 and topped the league in passing yards per game in six different seasons he won offensive player of the year in 1982 and retired one of three quarterbacks with 40 000 career passing yards before Fout John haydel was under center for the Chargers haydel was a key component of three teams that made AFL title game appearances in 1971 he topped the NFL in passing yards and touchdowns [Applause] [Music] [Applause] current starter Justin Herbert is the most recent QB in a long line of chargers greats Herbert became the first player in league history to throw for 4 000 yards in each of his first three seasons Stan Humphrey's quarterbacked the bolts to their first and only Super Bowl appearance in 1994. Joe Theisman brought the franchise its first Super Bowl in 1982. Ripon was a potent passer and led Washington to a top five scoring offense in his first three seasons as the primary starter number 7 the Pittsburgh Steelers the Steelers are one of the most accomplished franchises in the NFL thanks to Stellar QB play from Terry Bradshaw and Ben Roethlisberger [Applause] [Music] Big Ben spent his entire career in Pittsburgh won two Lombardi's and his Steelers never had a losing record he was a rookie sensation in 2004 going undefeated in the regular season Roethlisberger made six parole bowls and finished his career top 10 in both passing yards and touchdowns Pittsburgh's all-time passing leader is one of just five QBs in history with 165 or more wins before rothless Burger there was Bradshaw the 1978 NFL MVP guided Pittsburgh to seven division titles and four Super Bowls [Applause] got it dealer touchdown Bradshaw's Cannon arm earned him nearly 28 000 career passing yards and 212 touchdowns he won over 75 percent of his starts from 1972 to 1979 as the Steelers became the team of the decade Cordell Stewart was a jack of all trades in the 90s earning him the nickname slash he earned the starting job in 1997 and became the first player in NFL history with 20 touchdowns through the air and 10 more on the ground [Applause] Cordell Stewart has it and he has a first down and more Stewart after the fake running for the End Zone it's a good race and Cornell Stewart will take it in for the score Stewart earned Pro Bowl honors in the 2001 season when he guided Pittsburgh to a 13-3 season his 38 rushing touchdowns are tied for the second most by a QB since 1995. we'll mention Neil O'Donnell here too the 1992 pro bowler took the Steelers to four straight playoff appearances and a trip to Super Bowl 30. number six the Las Vegas Raiders this team's list of QBs is so deep that neither of their two former MVPs is the franchise's leading passer we'll start with Ken Stabler who won the award in 1974 and later that year took part in one of the wildest plays in NFL history the Hall of Famer steered the Raiders to five straight AFC title games and they won it all in Super Bowl 11. Stabler won 73 percent of his career starts with Oakland and led the NFL in passing touchdowns twice Daryl Lamonica took the Raiders to Super Bowl 2 in his first season with the team in fact the silver and black were in either the AFL or AFC Championship game every year from 1967 to 1970. the two-time AFL MVP was the first Raiders quarterback to throw for 3 000 yards in a season doing it three straight years Derek Carr did more for the Raiders than people will admit the four-time pro bowlers started 142 games a QB franchise record Carr also holds team records for passing yards in a game season and career he helped end the Raiders 13-year playoff drought in 2016 then two years later completed 332 consecutive passes without an interception the fourth longest streak in NFL history [Applause] 30. touchdown Oakland Super Bowl 15 MVP Jim Plunkett won two Lombardi's in a four-year span with the Raiders in eight seasons Plunkett registered a 46 and 21 record including the playoffs 2002 NFL MVP Rich Gannon spent the last six years of his career with the Raiders leading them to their first Super Bowl appearance in two decades he became the first player aged 37 or older to throw for 4 600 yards in a season number five the Dallas Cowboys you can't be America's Team without some legendary quarterbacks the first to bring glory to Dallas was Hall of Famer Roger Staubach in 1971 Staubach went 13-0 as the starter including the playoffs capping off the season with his first Super Bowl win on Third and goal Staubach touchdown Mike Ditka Staubach took the Cowboys to four appearances in the big game winning twice upon retirement his 83.4 career passer rating was a record in his 84 wins were the most by any quarterback in the 70s from one Hall of Famer to another Troy Aikman can lay claim to three rings of his own the Super Bowl 27 MVP guided Dallas to five straight division titles and his 90 wins made him the most successful quarterback of the 1990s the Dallas Cowboys win their fifth Super Bowl they win their third in four years Aikman is one of only seven quarterbacks to win back-to-back Super Bowl titles his nearly 33 000 passing yards ranked second on the team's all-time list number one on that list Tony Romo the undrafted free agent turned heads in 2006 before a costly blunder perhaps shaped The Narrative of his career but Romo's production can't be denied he made four Pro bowls and posted four seasons of four thousand passing yards his 248 touchdowns are Far and Away tops for the franchise but his best year came in 2014 when he went 12-3 as a starter with a league best 113 passer rating salary structure promo touchdown Cowboys Tony Romo Dak Prescott is the next in a long line of cowboys greats the 2016 offensive rookie of the year has led Dallas to four playoff appearances before turning 30. Dak already sits second passing touchdowns on the club's all-time list [Music] number four the Los Angeles Rams with three Hall of Famers in their quarterback room who played the bulk of their careers with the Rams it's not hard to see why this team is so high on our list Kurt Warner their most recent gold jacket QB led the franchise to its first Super Bowl win in 1999. five years ago you were stocking Supermarket shelves in Iowa now you're a Super Bowl it's because of these guys in the confidence they had in me that uh that I'm standing up here today and we're world champions how about the ram a two-time league MVP Warner became the second player in NFL history to throw for 40 touchdowns in a season the Super Bowl 34 MVP guided the Rams to League leading marks in scoring and total offense and each of his first three seasons in 1951 Norm van brockland threw for 554 yards in a single game that record still stands today he was named to six straight Pro bowls and led the league in passing in 1954. he was a part of five playoff teams and led the Rams to their first NFL Championship in L.A throws the notching pass up field Benji Tom Fields gathers it in on the dead run and races all the way to score for Los Angeles as a rookie in 1945 Bob Waterfield tied for the league high in touchdown passes and guided the Rams to their first NFL title in fact act he led the team to four NFL Championship Games even while splitting time with Van brocklin Waterfield was also the Ram's primary kicker and punter his entire career he racked up 20 career interceptions on defense including six in that superb rookie campaign Roman Gabriel had plenty of success in 11 Seasons with the Rams the 1969 NFL MVP as the Rams franchise record holder with 154 TD passes Jim Everett is the Rams all-time leader in passing yardage he took LA to back-to-back playoff trips in 1988 and 89 leading the NFL in touchdown passes in both seasons Jared Goff helped end the Rams 12-year playoff drought in 2017 and led them to a Super Bowl appearance one year later and two-time pro bowler Mark Bulger took over for Kurt Warner in the 2000s and immediately made an impact Folger ranked second on the Rams all-time list for passing yards number three the San Francisco 49ers this team knows a thing or two about success none more than the great Joe Montana Joe Cool was precise prolific and most importantly clutch he led the NFL in completion percentage in five different seasons and in 1981 completed the greatest pass in NFL history he went on to become the premier QB of the 80s then the greatest of all time Montana is a two-time league MVP and San Francisco's all-time leader in passing yards and touchdowns the Hall of Famer retired with four Lombardi trophies and was the first player to win three Super Bowl MVPs not many teams can say they've had two canton-bound quarterbacks share a locker room when Steve Young took over for Montana the 49ers didn't skip a beat young played sparingly in his early Niners days but he broke out in 1992 winning League MVP a two-time Super Bowl champion as a backup young emphatically took one home as a starter in 1994. this [Applause] Steve Young is now number one all-time with six touchdown passes he was The Ultimate dual threat retiring with the most Russian touchdowns of any QB in history Young led the league in passer rating six times and racked up nearly thirty thousand passing yards in San Francisco 1970 NFL MVP John Brody played 17 Seasons with the Niners he led the team to its first division title and two straight NFC championships in 1970 and 71. Manning won four of his record five MVPs with Indy including one in 2004 when he broke mourinho's single-season TD Mark he earned 11 Pro Bowl nods in Indy compiling nearly 55 000 passing yards and 399 touchdowns over his Colt's career Johnny Unitas was a game changer for the quarterback position and helped usher in a new era of professional football his notoriety grew Just As Americans were starting to watch football on television United starts to run with the ball now he throws it's good to bury he's at the 45 United States he gives to Amici and the ball game is over Johnny you led the Colts to back-to-back NFL title runs in 1958 and 59. the list of individual accolades is staggering 10 Pro bowls five all Pros three MVPs he topped the league in passing yards and touchdowns on four separate occasions by the time it was all said and done Unitus retired as the most accomplished quarterback of all time 32 touchdowns for brown and they give it to him again five talk about luck Andrew Luck came to Indy looking to emulate the days of Unitus and Manning the number one overall pick in 2012 led the Colts on seven game-winning drives as a rookie luck helped secure four playoff trips two division titles and one AFC Championship birth as the Colts signal caller he led the league with 40 touchdown passes in 2014 and was named the 2018 comeback Player of the Year sadly injuries derailed what looked to be like a promising career Bert Jones guided the Colts to three straight division titles in the 70s even winning NFL MVP in 1976. Jones ranks fourth all time on the Colts list for passing yards and touchdowns number one the Green Bay Packers we finally reached the summit the Packers have three Hall of Fame quarterbacks but they're soon to be fourth tops the list scrambles to his left under pressure rolling right escapes right side looking rainbows high and deep coming into the end zone and it is hard for a touchdown a leaping touchdown catches man and the Packers have won unbelievable Aaron Rodgers had a flare for the dramatic Green Bay's all-time leader in passing touchdowns spent 15 Seasons as the team's primary starter Rogers helped bring the Lombardi back home with an MVP performance in Super Bowl 45. he's been absolutely lethal sporting a 103.6 career passer rating second highest ever the Packers Legend led the team to 11 playoff appearances amassed over 59 000 passing yards and through 4 475 touchdowns and oh yeah he won League MVP four times set up the Paso man open Andre Rison does the dance in and Farr got settled out in a hurry the quarterback Rogers succeeded set a few records of his own as the only player to win three straight League MVPs Hall of Famer Brett Favre led the Packers to their first Super Bowl title in 30 years farved threw 442 career touchdowns with Green Bay then the most in team history he took the pack to the playoffs 11 of his 16 years as a starter farv still owns the Packers record for career passing yards and sits fourth in league history with over 71 thousand Rogers and farv added to the Legacy that is the Packers but Bart Starr led the Golden Era of Green Bay football the Hall of Famer won either an NFL Championship or a Super Bowl in five of seven years from 1961 to 1967.
