instead screen captured so that uh the bottom screens areas that show the useful information like hearts and uh rupees is artificially added to the main screen that's what you can see here and fade in that it kind of pops in like that a bit weirdly but yeah i thought that was a five-minute strat instead of wasting a bunch of screen state throughout the whole time [Music] why [Music] oh [Music] [Music] no all right there's only two items here because uh since it doesn't randomize since it doesn't throw a randomized uh map compass or uh and stuff like that it means that it can only have the chest for the boomerang and the heart piece container the heart piece container the heart container i can't talk dude 30 fps bubbles they move so fast one thing that you can tell that it's really janky with the 3d version is grezzo a lot of the time for a lot of things went very pepaga and what i mean by that is instead of like reworking a bunch of things what they did in a lot of situations is they kind of just made it 30 fps but kept the same values so some things like for example like the fish right they like that's why the fish is so much worse about like some things that moves are so much worse because like it's coated with the intention of running at 20 fps it's coded at running at 20 fps but it's just like sped up so it's moved to like 1.5 times the speed [Music] my favorite thing though that grezzo did when they were fixing fixing this game was the dampe heart piece that is my absolute favorite thing so chad here's a little bit of a funny effect fun fact you can actually permanently miss dampe's heart piece on the original ocarina of time because when dampi digs up the heart the game hits a flag indicating that yes the player got the heart so if you accidentally leave the area and then go back you can't get the heart piece again but in the 3d version instead of moving the check for when you pick up the heart they just remove that line of code entirely which means that the game never has a check for if you have gotten the heart piece or not so now instead of having it so that there's a check that yes you got the heart when he gets duck that gets dug up now instead it just never thinks you got it which means you can infinitely get the same heart piece over and over and over again like they should have just been smart and move the two like like picking up the heart but no they just instead went full on paper mode and just removed the line entirely actually i want to get this [Music] you know what that's a good item because i don't know how to do a shadow temple out of order so you know what that is a necessary item oh god uh i'm a little bit scared [Music] i hope you can still do the skip across the gap on the 3d version otherwise i'm going to according to the speed run rules so the only way the only way to actually capture a 3ds is by getting a modded which a people don't do anymore b even if you were to do it it's very prone to breaking
