Ranch Fairy Single Bevel Testing

all right this is the raspberry minus the Hat that's my son Caleb right there he's already setting up the bow he might be the first person to shoot a pig with Ranch Fair arrows with the super Raptors the Supernova SDS 250 spine with the sleeve and the raspberry Broadhead so we'll see about that but he's got a zero so we'll see if he's any good at shooting today my child's forehead looks fantastic [Music] look at the blood that's a two-blade Broadhead fellas and ladies and gentlemen [Music] [Music] [Applause] um [Music] [Applause] close yeah I mean two inches low that's what we want is it left or right good uh left right now where's the little oh don't lose the parts man yeah dude you're gonna snug it up there yeah I I dropped it a little more so it should be it should be reasonably close yeah right we just gotta hit the big part yeah that's like more than a lot less than a little checking zero here so we can get ready for pig slaying with the Branch ferry Broadhead so easy to pull okay I'm two inches right [Laughter] now yeah if they if they drop a little bit alrighty that's 60 pounds now you're you're strapping young man I think that'll work I need to pick it up touch more but man this thing shoots good you like the bear adapt huh the hunting public bow this thing is this thing is sweet and then this is what 60 pounds look like dude I'm not sure oh I think that'll do I want you left it in that right on the uh right on the list that bottom one we need you we need you right on the elbow just above the right above the elbow we finally got your mojo back yeah it took me it took me about 15 shots to remember what I was doing yeah yeah I'm shot about in four years it's been a couple it's been it's been some time that'll do it right there that's pretty good so now there's no reason to shoot field points all the time I shoot broadheads now yeah let's do it let's break out the uh the new Range Ferry special so if they hear about him having shot him just uh just had one in my hand and they're looking uh they're looking like they're gonna get the job done your old man's talking trash about them so we'll see what happens all right so pick your poison get I guess grab one of those over there and you know that'll work the old 200 grain Ranch very single bubble thing is I think it'll I think it's Gonna Fly fine things looking pretty badass broadheads don't fly Arrows fly broadheads people say broadheads why so one of the advantages of shooting is All Steel Broadhead like this is you can sharpen them back up and you can shoot your broadheads a lot you can bounce them off of stuff and get them pretty dull and then practice with broadheads and sharpen them back up yeah it's a huge advantage that was amazingly right in the same spot Arrows fly broadheads broadheads no fly arrows that is fine and you got about I mean it's a Target it's designed to stop broadheads but it did penetrate another eight inches it did penetrate a little better than the other one it's rotate it out you can unscrew it or do it that way yeah there you go durability test okay you gotta test out the uh the clutchings as well oh to the audience he comes about it naturally he's as good at breaking stuff as I am maybe more he's really good [Laughter] all right so one of the things about shooting broadheads is just shoot one Broadhead if you shoot two broadheads you will shoot next to the other one and cut the fleshings off yeah or cut your arrow in half oh yeah you did that to Griffin Mr Griffin hit my arrow did I give it one more rep see if it's see if it's going I have a sneaking suspicion that's going to probably go in the same damn spot we'll find out oh same spot but a little metal I hit or something something yeah shot place was great oh no no I'm not mad about the shot I'm mad about damaging the Broadhead no you're not gonna damage the Broadhead Ranch videos we hit the pipe in there yeah it's a it's a steel leg of the pig but hit a piece of Steel still good to go sure probably I'd shoot it again I guess you would I gotta get practice but I'm gonna shoot a paper well we're shooting the pig next week I gotta go turkey hunting first all right um next time I'll probably have my visor it's not required so when you see us again we'll be at the ranch bye all right we said we'd be at the ranch the next time you saw us so there's Caleb getting all the stuff public gun and the hunting public boat by the public boat yeah I haven't shot anything with hunting public bow so like we said we guaranteed we'd be back at the ranch so it's a couple of weeks later you know help out I'm trying to call him I might just scratched it we'll go see we'll walk up on the Arrow right now and see I think I shot under it all right it sounded good when it hit like chook like bone it did it did sound good the video is scaring us so let's let's go let's go check it out yeah yeah yeah foreign Gotta Wear the shorts and Boots so you're not being stylish oh is that how the young people do it it is it's more effective well we're testing the ranch fairy Supernova SD it looks like that 200 grain Ranch very broad head and here look at the blood that's a two blade Broadhead fellas and ladies and gentlemen wow that's easy wow aim low shoot at the elevator shoot the elbow Carnage this is the kind of Blood Trail look at that this is the kind of Blood trailer you see that up there look up there look at that in the yeah see right along there you got it nice oh that's 40 yards I'm glad you uh shot that wounded one calling them out okay big thorns not the biggest one but those are the tasty size ones look at that oh my oh boy oh see that it came in the elbow out the throat out the throat we need to we need to remember that shot look at that that is nasty two blade baby Ranch very special all right we need to remember to shoot him right there yeah find the elbow go low somehow I shot her underneath the elbow but that's got to be the bottom of the heart I don't know you shoot her under the hey shot under the elbow you should under the elbow that's where the heart is you don't want to deal with the elbow when you just shoot underneath it I don't even know that was an incredible Blood Trail and oh my God we're not 40 yards away from the stand that was spun here good night um the mosquitoes are loving us all right well you know what my feet are going up for 10. yeah we gotta go try to get another one and maybe Charlie will get one I hope Charlie gets one he needs one all right we got the [ __ ] maybe Charlie and then 10 o'clock we're gonna go back out yeah fingers crossed maybe but we can get a big big one yeah three five times that side that's a little guy but that's an eating sized one so that is Handy all right uh out all right Caleb's cleaning the air off pulled the Broadhead off and we're gonna resharpen it because the good thing about shooting these kind of broadheads are one piece and machine steel and resharpenable is you can resharpen them so I think what you do is you resharpen it and you shoot another Pig with it yeah we're gonna we're gonna leave it a little buddy you gotta you gotta leave those little sauce this is a this is the red white and blue limited edition red white and blue limited edition this is a self-achieved you have to you know earn that but um yeah we're gonna go out we're gonna re-sharpen this we got a feeder going off at tin hopefully we've got another big one in there and we can shoot them low around the elbow and maybe we can give you another Blood drill like that again that was nice that was awesome all right we've got the red white and blue Edition Supernova SD Ranch fairy Edition it's got blood on it we're gonna leave that on there because it's good luck one of the advantages of shooting a platform like this any machined one piece head is you can be sharpening okay this Broadhead is super dull now remember you saw in the video it was buried probably a foot in the sand so it's not a very good evaluation of any Broadhead platform not just the ranch fairy Broadhead any Broadhead platform if you bury it in the sand and you pull it out you say well that thing's not sure because of the sand and it just eats them alive so this thing is I mean it's not cutting at all okay I've got a full video when I sharpened this particular Broadhead with the Work Sharp Precision adjust car will pop up somewhere Link in the description of how I sharpen this Broadhead and I'm going to show Caleb how to do it real fast this is going to be real short but we're going to show you what it is or how sharp it is once we get done and then we're going to take it back out and shoot another one all right panel yes sir okay see ya we're going to start sharpening on on this baby just saw it back and forth we've got the bevel set and the main bevel we're on 320 grits 320 grit and we're just going to bring the whole Edge back and it shouldn't take very long you could just saw on it Caleb just leave it on there just go front to back front to back you'll get the hang of it you don't need a lot of pressure make sure you get the whole Edge okay that should be enough okay now push the button in the back and flip it all right now you got to run the tower down don't you 19 degrees right there you do the lower bevel on the back for the what we call the flat side this little tiny piece of Steel here you just want to barely you can saw that too go all the way around the tip on that side cut the Tonto it'll just tilt around there you go let me see if we have the bear see it how the light's washing it out okay it's a little bit go so go on this side again okay the Burr is not quite established so on the video I go through this whole process of sharpening the thing 20 and that's in the description on how to use this tool but in about five minutes we'll have the Broadhead chart we're going to run 320 600 grit and then go to ceramic I'm going to cut the video away when we get the Broadhead sharp I'll show you it'd be better if you watch the other video because it's got more detail tips and tricks Etc finishing up with ceramic and uh lay it down like that I think that'll work no pressure at all on it I mean yep that'll work I think that's sharp Caleb what do you think it'll go through a pig again for sure oh we got it we've got another side to sharpen it's always worse oh man it would it take you like four minutes to get a sharp again oh yeah all right cool all right I'm back in the old Studio here the garage studio and it's just awesome to be the ranch fairy then have equipment failure so we've been hunting that night and the motor was seized on the feeder and so that doesn't help because I use deer feeders to put Targets in front of us to test things not a hunting channel and sometimes that happens so we had to fix that and that's that so that's how it goes anyway um a couple of details I'm going to show the clip of the hit again because I like nerdy stuff and I try to pay attention to details and mentally relive every shot I take so that the next one I have data points that I've thought about when I see the arrow hit an animal I can go oh wow that should be X right when we initially replayed the video I thought this air was too low and it was perfectly low one of the interesting parts and I'm gonna here comes the clip again as I talk over it this pig quartered away and the arrow happened to hit and its right leg happened to be way forward so it looked like he shot under the elbow when in fact it was just the body positioning of the animal if his L if that Pig's elbow would have been back who knows what would happen but it you know when we got to the pig in the video the hole looks like it's way up under the armpit well it was because the arm on the pig was Way Forward like that this happened to be that way I have said this and I'm never gonna stop saying it you cannot control blood trails ever that hit was devastating in the armpit out the neck took out everything and then you know it was so low that the blood was just coming out of it and the blood trail was phenomenal and the next one won't be for a similar hit and the blow get contained inside the chest and it'll be a Bad Blood trailer or a weak one and then we'll have a little struggle so um you can never you can never ever ever control a blood trail ever what you can do is shoot into the vital V I have multiple videos on shot placement from a physiologic standpoint and try to hit the arteries lungs and veins Within the animals which kills them a whole lot faster even
