Rainy Day Decorate With Me - THE SUNROOM AND NEW WALL UNITS!

hi guys happy friday guess what we are having a big storm right now it literally came out of nowhere we had sunny skies and this morning all of a sudden an hour later clouds started to come in and we just got pounded with rain and you know what i said i said i think god's moving furniture again i think i just heard some thunder too i had no idea we were gonna have a rainy day so this is going to be titled rainy day decorate with me the bookshelf can you guys hear it hitting the window better pat bitter pat you know what they say april showers bring may flowers all right so this is what we're working with we purchased these three bookshelves on amazon and you may remember we decided to make them our own by adding those lights and we just drilled into the top pull these were um plug-in little chandeliers and we just drilled a hole in the top pulled the cord through and my husband zip tied it and if i have the video all inserted after this clip so you can see if you want to do something similar and uh then we have lights and they're on a dimmer switch so i can make it bright or i can dim it and we also ordered this little tiny smart tv i just wanted a little place where if i wanted to watch a movie or if somebody was in the kitchen we could have a movie going or we could play our music um from you know apple music or spotify and so this really makes a cozy nook off the kitchen now i call this room the sun room just because we're surrounded by windows but really what i'd like to call it is a gathering room because we gather in here and the kitchen's right there and we cook and we laugh and we talk and we enjoy a cold drink and we relax kick our feet up it's just a really fun place off the kitchen now i'm sure this whole bookshelf unit was intended to be used for a library because it does have the latter but we're not big readers over here we just aren't so i am going to be using this to style through the seasons which is going to be so much fun and being that i like to change my decor out so frequently this will be fun and now if you like these book shelf units you can buy them individually or you can buy these three together and that's what we did but anyway and it comes with the ladder so that was a plus and like i said we just added those lights for ambiance so with all that said let's get decorating and let's have some fun cue the music so moving up here what i added is a mirror two lanterns two grass floral arrangements and two roosters you guys know i'm very symmetrical so i don't know it just makes my eyes happy and the two lanterns right there i've got those led flameless flickering candles on a remote so at night if we're watching tv i can just click the switch and i've got automatic ambiance now moving up here when we moved in they did not have a chandelier so we added this one and we found it on amazon it's literally one of my favorite chandeliers here in the house okay let's get started decorating this huge unit takes up the whole wall it filled this space in very nicely now you guys may remember i hauled a pair of these several weeks back and i found these at an antique store and what i'm gonna do is take this greenery pick i found this on amazon and i'm simply going to place it in here i just want a pop of green and yellow up there on the top shelf and then i can kind of spread this out i don't know something like this let's place it [Music] now because i'm so symmetrical i have another one i'm going to place that right over there in the corner [Music] beside that i'm going to add this cute little wire basket hobby lobby and a toe berry [Music] next shelf i have this little tray but it's but you know it's a mirror found this at the copper cricut and i'm going to lean it now i'm not going to put it like this i'm actually going to lean it right there next i have this glass container full of faux lines also from where else the copper cricut and i love the detailing right there [Music] next i have this pretty candle holder also from the copper cricut and i'm gonna go run and get a flameless candle and i'm just gonna place it in here let's see just like that looks like a real candle really does and i'm going to place that right here now i'm going to add two more things on that shelf some greenery from hobby lobby and a cute little topiary i'm going to be adding lots of greenery you'll see [Music] now honestly what would any display in my house be without roosters i just can't help myself you guys i have issues i'm just obsessed with them and i found this set at an antique store and they were such a good price so i got to look at their cute little feet and because this room i've kind of got a buffalo check you know look going on these will fit right in with the black and white so what i'm going to do is put one there and one there and then fill in in the middle [Music] why not add another rooster i mean hello i'm on a roll and that won't be the last of them and now i have some greenery and i have this little pitbury garland that's really tiny and i've just you know i want to pop a color so i'm just gonna kind of go ring around the rosie and then boom you have a really cute garland with little pops of color i'm simply going to fill in right here [Music] [Music] now i have this cute sign it says napa valley winery and i just took it and i put it in a plate holder and i'm gonna put that right in the corner there [Music] i found this at an antique store filled with corks so how appropriate is this to put next to the sign [Music] how many of you remember my golden goose i found this at a cute antique store and you know i'm sure it's a bookend i couldn't tell if it was a bookend or a doorstop it could work for that as well and then i've got a little one and i'm just gonna put them like this i just think they're so cute we live by the lake near the lake so we're always seeing geese and ducks and they're always flying around so i thought how that you appropriate to me the way that you make me feel i don't know if you're real i wanna put you in that spotlight looking at you all night [Music] now the next shelf i have this cute uh kitchen canister i just hauled this and i'm going to stick this on the shelf below [Music] next i have this cute uh container guess you could put some ice in here and put your wine bottles in it found this at an antique store and then because we've got black and white in here i have this little tea towel and i am going to put it in here like this sort of hanging off the side just like that then i have a greenery garland that i got on amazon and i'm going to stick it in here just like so and i want this sort of uh hanging off the side like i said when you're working with greenery sometimes you've got to play with it but anyway i want it sort of like this [Music] actually i decided to hang it off this side [Music] now i'm going to go get a another rooster and i'm just going to keep it simple on the bottom shelves by just doing one item [Music] so i think that turned out really cute i i'm very happy with it and now i'm ready to move on to this next section and i'm going to start up there and i'm going to put a sign i'm going to move that ladder over [Music] next i have this gather here sign this is from hobby lobby then i've got a plate stand and i'm going to put that right there as a sign hey gather over here come on folks [Music] all right guys remember i hauled these last week i found these at ross now i wish the base was uh painted black i will do that probably i don't know i might not because these could go in a kitchen with with all my whites so i might just leave it but they're kind of concealed you know and i'm gonna put them on top of this for now i have plans for these down the line but for now we're just gonna do this we're gonna set this on top of here we'll do the same thing right there [Music] next i hauled this for you last week um also from ross and what i decided to do was put my cute little amazon faux muffins on the inside i love the way it all looks together and i'm going to set that in the center [Music] [Applause] and then right there you can see our little tiny smart tv but it's awesome because you can get apple uh roku peacock netflix amazon prime all on this tv so um we love it and it's a great picture quality for a cheapo tv from amazon now below the tv i remember i told you i was going to make a big arrangement out of this well i changed my mind and i was going to use it for a remote boat you know so you could put your remotes here but um i've decided against that i'm gonna take some of my favorite hobby lobby greenery and i'm just gonna put one there one here and one here and that's what it looks like i think it's cute and that's gonna go beneath the tv i think no i take yes it's gonna go beneath the tv [Music] [Music] remember this i hauled this last week i've decided to take a cute little garden ball and place it there whoops and then i have a cloche bam little centerpiece now beside that little clothes i have two book boxes and another clothes with another garden ball i'm going to kind of angle it and sit it right beside it [Music] actually i think i'm going to move it around i i have this wreath i hauled this last week from an antique store and i put it on a little plate holder and i'm going to rearrange that and i might make this the focal point i'm not sure i think that's pretty cute so i just angled those just a little bit put that as the focal point and set that little topiary on the pedestal right beside it so we've got all this decorated and now we need to move over here start up there and work our way down i need to move the ladder over so we can get over there and it will be a little tough to decorate because i've got the sectional arm right there so up on the top shelf right there i'm going to add a pop of color with this cute clothes full of i hope you can see right there i bought that at home goods a few years ago and i hung it there which i love i love how the black and the creams all tie in together and then when i went to the copper cricket i found this piece and i hung it above which i love so on this shelf right here let's add these flowers in this pot i got this at a consignment store it has a cute handle i'm going to like how the white flowers tie in with these so i have this big boxwood garden ball and then i got this cute little piece i think it michael's it was either michael's or hobby lobby but anyway you take the garden ball you plop it right oops this one's missing some stems on it so i gotta find the side that looks good anyway i'm gonna plop it in there and sit it right in the center [Music] y'all i told you i just have a rooster obsession i found another one at another sort you know what i must not be the only one with a rooster obsession around this area because they sure sell an awful lot of these everywhere i go and i always see women lining up to snatch these so anyway just how to throw that out there anyone else rooster obsessed i'm going to place this rooster right next to the topiary [Music] next got this at an antique store and to dress it up i just added a cute little tassel because i've got black here i thought this was perfect so because i have a mirror over there oh you can't see but it's right up there i have a mirror up there i kind of want to do another mirror over here that's similar so let's place it i have some ivy i'm going to kind of nestle it right right there [Music] y'all i should call this the rooster room everything's rooster themed i have this pretty guy from hobby lobby i'm gonna set him right there [Music] next i have this cute little picture from i think this was michael's i like how it's black and distressed and it's got a butterfly i'm gonna set this in the center here i think i'm gonna do a switcheroo i'm gonna move this black rooster up to the top and move that down [Music] i'm going to add this plant right here and then i have this cloche and i'm going to put that right there [Music] i'm going to put this cute little topiary wall art piece down there and then i've got these two cute little book boxes and a topiary or i may use this [Music] [Music] so i ended up switching that because it was like picture picture and it just didn't look right so i angled that put that there and i'm gonna put everything you see here on the bottom shelf and on that shelf i'm gonna replace it with this i think it's cute as long as it'll fit again um i have this cute little lantern and i thought why don't i put it on here to add some ambiance so i'm gonna stick it probably over here [Music] i'm going to conceal the cord by kind of coming around this way [Music] oh my goodness hold on i'm going to conceal the cord by doing this that's better and now this will go on the shelf below all right guys well i think this whole bookshelf area turned out really cute really really cute and the tv was just it was small enough compact enough that we could fit it in here and still enjoy a little tv show watch the news you know watch a movie have a drink cup of coffee a banana chino and i think the window i i don't think i shared this i used to have a um a table behind this sectional and the sectional stuck out just a little bit further and we wanted to push it back so i'm actually using the windowsill sort of as a sofa table to display my uh lamps and the decor you see there but i think it looks darling [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music]
