we are ready to race their lights do go green and we're underway in the fanatec GT well challenge Europe powered by AWS Insurance Cup round four and already the Mercedes of Maxi Gertz is trying to get up and here comes the Armada Mercedes as well they're going to swamp past the Lamborghini on the way down to the first Corner watch Trudy in the Audi there's a little bit of Contour between the two Mercedes cars the almanac gets biffed in once twice three times and the iron Dames have gone around oh that's such a heartbreaker looks like big damage to the one of the Ferraris as well I think that might be Nicholas Nielsen and somehow through all of that Marcelo has held onto the lead in front of the Armada Mercedes and that's the returning Porsche that has come all the way up to third damage to the rear one of the Mercedes likewise but that was a gift for enough early marchello he was the one that came out of that four Coral four-way battle into turn one he was on the right part of the racetrack others were all too far to the left and against tarsh but billowing off the back I think it's a bundle there's the battle that's going on for second and third face IDI have got themselves out the look at trying to make it three into two into one and it didn't come off he's got damage on that right rear but he went rubbing on that right rear Tower needs to be concerned other than rub the rubber away or rub the Bodywork away well look who's come up into third position because the Armada Mercedes has now dropped back into fifth place lift is in third it's David Chewbacca in the windward Mercedes that has prepped forward now into third position what an amazing lap for David Schumacher is that side by side that's Audi versus McLaren as everybody tries to get through without too much drama but there's absolute banter between the other Winward Mercedes and the remaining Ferrari that is the 71 of David rig on so they are absolutely at loggerheads as they come from the first half the returning Porsches got through in a second that comes to you out here Fred verbi the machetes in the background Robert flying off the back we saw the Bodywork had tapped at that car coming back literally three wheels on by wagon there is the remains of that right rear tire everybody having to back off in the middle of the chicane to enable them not to get in contact right we've got the number 11 come to you out here Fred very She haven't got past David Schumacher Schumacher having another go and here comes Maro Engel engel's going deep into the breaks in a turn one trying to go side by side with David Schumacher and he's still gonna be there to the inside for turn two here comes Engel perfect he's going to get up the inside David Schumacher's gonna have to bail out of it up to Fourth for the Armada Mercedes so let's see where it all unfolded there Jordan Pepper's not quite reacted the same way Maxi got's got a beautiful launch yeah it's not it's all looking reasonably in control but look the cars all over the place coming down to the turn Marcelo stays to the right Barrow angle done contacts Jordan pepper Maxie Gertz becomes wrapped up in all that contact twice and there you see that Aaron Davis Lamborghini is rotation but this is on board with the 98 car the Rover BMW the championship leading car look he's about to get some punishment ready bang how is he still running in the top ten the make him tough Donna Munich that's why very impressive he managed to get away from all that but look at just the Carnage in turn one that is normal at Nurburgring and turn one everybody tries to get him to turn one ahead of everybody else and inevitably it just doesn't work and Marcello hugged the right-hand side of the racetrack not the natural line there's the rear view from the 98 of the 88 even Marcello got a tag as he went through he was quite lucky actually that he didn't take more damage to the rear of the Mercedes and they are now of course leading the race excellent work to hold the lead here we go side by side this is Pereira and Trudy truly trying to go the long way round and that's beautifully handled by Matthew Trudy what a move the fish will be the first house for Maro angle James again down at the bottom of the racetrack was on an assist or self-induced spent this has not been a great start they've got to now reverse the car and I think there's well they must be now the tail of the field because there's no traffic coming behind them I thought they were starting sufficiently far enough the field that they might have gotten clear but they've just went into German on the left-hand side of the of the racetrack and got swept up with all that was going forward so that's a huge disappointment for the 83 Lamborghini this is bitter disappointment rail three trying to get the move on the car collection for sure which just squeezes out that was a bit bold for rail Freight well it was a Los Angeles let's be polite about it it was Porsche was slow and ran up high but then it just swooped down and taught the left front of the Lamborghini the hell they had nowhere to go the closing Gap was inevitable and the contact was the spin and then the delay getting the car rolling again meanwhile look at Christopher Meese having a proper go there at Marco vitman who is also trying to take on Jordan pepper well Jordan pepper has managed to give him saw from this car office qualified by Mercury port or not he's saying the weather helped them he felt to get that front row the grid star position and of course the incident down the bottom of that Lamborghini actually is this large part on the right-hand side look at it so hubo up the inside what a move will it work or not [Music] is going to take full advantage of that of the inside of Marco Whitman he will skate through but Marco this man the championship leaders have platted into the side of the iron leaks I'd like to see that all over again in slow motion don't know we've got the slow mo camera available for that particular shot but certainly whatever the contact was it was Major enough to see the Lamborghini smooth guard maybe have to pull off and now Matia Trudy's got to run on the sister car of roll Finnegan he's going to try and make it move on the inside Matia Rudy needs to get this move done cleanly perfect so there is the Lamborghini creeping back it's managed to many make his way back into the pit Lane but there's a lot of damage to the Bodywork on that right front for the suspension damage as well suspect it's largely Bodywork damage this is another view of the same thing so there's the dive done and now that's why that's why the Lamborghini ran the curb the back end snapped and turned almost 90 degrees in so one has to say that really more down to Jordan pepper than it was a bit but made the pass and a sort of wrong foot of the Lamborghini here's the onboard view of it up through the Schumacher rezas they're both cars right on the limit of adhesion up the hill up into turn 10. watch what's going to happen with the BMW can't get it down here if you turn 10 but Margaret Whitman decides I'm going to make a large angle to make a dive no here I go and all of a sudden the two cups there is contact and then snap that staff almost did nothing that can be done by Jordan the factors the initial contact with George pepper and the BMW and then mudson got sideways pepper then just speared straight across the track so it was contacted that set that whole scenario on so I think George pepper now having said that will feel not my fault golf I got tagged and Marco Whitman will try and defend his honor and say it wasn't my fault either but Matthew is going to make the big launch on the inside of the Rover BMW Mini drips wide has done that he should have dive up the inside and Max goes a couple of laps ago and he's done precisely the same thing oh lovely from Shelby he's gone right around the outside of Rossi and he has to bail out of it now Ross is taking on here but out yes so watch for Charles vets going to make the undercut on the sister car didn't have the pace to do it and watch roshi well he I thought he might have been getting wrong footed but he's managed to get through cleanly Charles Fitz has got to be patient he may be able to get through the Mercedes on the exit of turn six because the pace of all three cars so similar in this book had to get the bits of Bodywork line middle of the racetrack having drivers having to avoid not being able to use the racetrack until it's full so on board with this guy tempesta still running in 21st position s just getting a very good view of what these three cars are doing the two BMWs today Mercedes defeated the BMW Center a human half there is really struggling here comes me it's on the inside line gets the move done nicely so that's the wrt BMW number 32 getting through into position and now the 10 best that McLaren's trying to come through as well and watch out for the 21 of Nicholas Bayard he wants to get through as well how disc blocking blocking blocking don't you dare as Here Comes froggit he's now gonna have to go left has to keep his net reconnected by Valentina Rossi attach the belts get the various radio mic and whatever your drink spot whatever it is you want pull those shoulder straps down tight you need to get them tight before you leave the car the car will come off the Jack switches the two of the BMW just gonna get rolling first as the 44 Porsche it's rolling down the Bit Lane thank you Valentino it was a pretty decent stint actually considering how far off the pace the BMWs have been in general today he didn't really make any mistakes the 32 ruling before the 46 and that's the that's the order that came into the pitch so there's no loss no gain in reality the only difference is that I guess the file for suspind the wheel of the 46 there is no trouble making his way down to the very bottom of the pit Lane is going to be getting in up the inside comes my belly to mapelli into 10th position Michaela Peretti in the iron links Lamborghini he's got through past the 998 Rose BMW and now they're both going to try and slice up the inside of the dynamic GT watch shoulders Vander Linda he's on the outside of the edge of that final turn whether he will gain anything in terms of speed off the corner but you've got two Batman certainly got one position but is he going to be able to maintain it from the sister car the 998 once from a different operation but both running BMWs beautiful from Sheldon back to Linda and now he's going to try and make the bid on Michaela Beretta uses a lot of curve to get the car turned in can he just dive in up the inside now he's got to be very circumspect about this move he uses so much curve the BMW is the Broadway BMW 998 and Max Hesser he does not want to oh that's but that's the market car so the Parker Porsche going off the road that's Andy mayrick yes so quite a critical battle between the two yellowy resisting found the Linda trying to hold it right round the outside no way he is gonna have the throttle beautiful from Sheldon Van Der Linda But Here Comes My Belly making a big dive careful careful don't hit the back of that BMW no Nick gillily pulled away to the left to ensure contact didn't arise but Napoli's got to go the long way around and as we saw a lap earlier he doesn't rather than easy the BMW's got no grip at that part of the racetrack and I tell you what it's got a loose left splitter at the back as well something not quite right for the Rover BMW balance and that's why yellowy is losing time as stops here now you've got another chance to go for the bits yes he is oh it's gonna be close to the rule can he get it running he's got to come up behind the Porsche and where is the white Mercedes there it is Midway down still going to be the advantage of the 88 but it's got to find its way past as quickly as possible the Porsche that's directly ahead of him because this car Lucas stalls behind the wheel is up to speed having been into the pits a lap or so earlier the uh no big lock up well Fontana's giving him a much bigger amount of assistance than he was hoping for yeah I mean that was a gift and where it came from I don't mind but the two lead cars the gap between them is probably a little more than a second and a half oh another big shots up at the top number 12. so that's the art of Canada car going over the shimmack arrest but he can recover it so I don't think we'll need a safety car for that if that's good well that was a nasty moment coming off the Schumacher s he is out there doing the best is this a chance but can't get it done he's got the momentum off the final turn gets him alongside the Porsche side by side coming down into turn one who's got the advantage the Porsche has got the advantage because it's on the inside fellow can't get sufficiently far along to swoop through to make the undercut make the undercut now and try and drive the audience he may have to go a long way around turn to which is what Federer is going to do grinding what has he got left in the tank can he defend it to turn three yes he's able to go in a little bit deeper compromises Feller as the result fellas got a cut back now can he make again the exit of turn four to his advantage and the run down into turn five the Porsche versus the Audi Dipper tuck image everywhere you look go with a long way right turn five and you've got to be careful because you're running the road if you do so then again get yourself a position run the outside of turns six but you should be able to end up off the racetrack well good job by both drivers they gave each other a working group a little bit of a love tap from RockAuto fella to say I'm going to take that position away nobody says no you're not they've been side by side for about half the lap now and then is still there alongside up the hill Andrew Margaret is now surely this is supposed to make it or not no Feller has finally got the job done he had to back up he was on the wrong part of the racetrack he couldn't defend the audio was sufficiently Far alongside he made the overtake and that was a moment to save her this is however a battle for the position for Glenn van burlo who's trying to get past maximata in the BMW who seems to be slowing so there is a problem full of 96 BMW that car will be going into the pit Lane now whether that is a mechanical issue or whether that's a tar again because there's so much debris on the racetrack you could quite easily run over a piece of the gravel or it could be a mechanical issue we wait to see well there we can see the damage so the front of the cards maybe the radiator itself as a consequence with contact at some point we didn't see any contact at any point but not to say obviously there's the BMW so is this where the damage occurred oh yes oh yes oh yes now definitely the Audi death no no they're definitely that idea I can guarantee you reversed into the news no hesitation on saying that oh well again what's happened to the pure racing Porsche he's had an absolute black eye there that is running into somebody else that is running into somebody else we don't know where that happened that's Klaus speckler who was leading the class so uh well well the the design to be really easily detached front Wings on the Porsche carbon fiber body work has proven to be very detachable but not for the right reason now indeed and that looks as though he's fallen off his bike and grazed his knee essentially in car terms doesn't it so he needs to hope that that's going to be not too big a problem for the rest of the race because obviously they've completed all the pit stops but that was Klaus Baker in the lead and now it's the 91 the hairband Porsche the gold machine there it is that he's now leading oh and that's the bad Panda Mercedes offer turn one so again they get it rolling yes you can keep the engine running don't no safety come on come on get it going Perez get it going get it going but that left front looks like it's punctured and that's maybe the reason why that car went off loads of smoke coming from the back of the Mercedes the left front look at the mess coming from the left front of the wheel is totally locked yeah why that is I don't understand but there is maybe the reason why the tire has gone down maybe the car would need to be pulled off and parked in a safe position because that's not going to do any good to either the car or anybody else in the field right this is Chiva on Argent mining it gonna be a mistake for mining it is oh very unfortunate for the Indian thank you very much says Eddie cheever it's been yet another Thriller in the family Tech GT well challenge you're a powered by AWS in the endurance cup just as they did in boricar it's going to be a victory for the 88 academic ASP Mercedes a brilliant run as Shield coonor crosses the line and it's a victory for rafaeli Marcello timobogastavsky and here at the Nurburgring after three brilliant hours of racing for the second time this year they take an insurance company so there you go after three hours at the Nurburgring Marcelo Burgers take their second win in endurance this year from the almana Mercedes there was just 1.9 seconds back after three hours the Tracer orange one Audi coming home in a brilliant third place ahead of the Santa lock Junior car and the returning Porsche well done to Dennis Olson Lucas Heinrich and Thomas fryning great job the Winwood Mercedes coming home for the victory in Gold the win for the GRT grassa in silver and a brilliant win in bronze for Von heinemann and Reno hour in the Herbert gold and black Porsche Marcelo bogustavsky and gunot come to the podium on to the top step once again what an incredible race from the three it really has been a stellar effort from the three men on the top step of the podium they have absolutely deserved every single second of this Mercedes have definitely come up with the goods today at the Nurburgring BMW left scratching their heads wondering what to do when we go to Spain
