is that it hi I'm welcome to an extra little quickie when we ought to get something done in under five minutes let's move on to the connections for this pressure and temperature sensor is the bmp-2 eight it very popular you'll pick one of these up for less than the price of the kind of core delivered more than likely maybe more than one of them as well at that price so our connections are we've got power and grind which are just kept up to the 3.3 volts rail of the SP 32 in the ground you can see I just created a common rail across the top and I've connected this up as an a squared C device it can be connected up as SPI as well but Ivan s a squared C so you see I've not used a couple of connections at the bottom so I've got the SDA the data going to pin 21 at the SP 32 that's the standard as where C of the SP 34 data and I've got the clock going to the pin 22 of the SP 32 you might also notice this small 22 microfarad ish but capacitor got across there is not linked to this project at all that is to do with a boot issue problem on some of these do it stale boards these dev kit style boards some of them have a problem with programming unless you bong somewhere between the 2 micro farad and maybe 10 microfarad capacitor across the enable pin and the ground I'll put a link up in the up above now and down description below if you want to look at the video for that let's move on to the libraries we need so go to tools manage libraries and type into the filter box Adafruit BMP 280 and it should just have one pop up from that search just easy I've got it installed you then click install there and that I'd be done let's go to a built in examples or fail examples Eddie free B&B 280 library only one example provided let's click on that okay there it is I'll go into too much detail here we using the a squared C not the SP I saw it's been my default the example defaults to R squared C leave that just as it is and then it tries to connect to the sensor there if you get an error message in your serial monitor saying could not find the Valley B&B sensor then check your wiring first and then we'll also look at what other problems there could be that causes that error to occur and if a good out into our loop you can see we're going to sample the temperature pressure and give you an approximate altitude which I'll quickly talk about again in a second so let's see if we can upload that to my board I get my bottle 1000 Biggles will open the serial monitor in a second and see what results we get and so of tools serial monitor just need to reset my board so I'm going though must press the button on the SP 32 reboot oh one thing we need to do is correct make sure we set the board rate to get the correct value so in the cord live set now 600 you could change that to one more 5 200 here but what I'll do so I'd have to recompile I'll just set that and then reboot my board again on my USB 30 whatever garbled I put there ignore that could not find a valid BMT to wait to send the check wiring the wiring when he's perfect there's nothing wrong with it the only problem you could have it will just go out to the cord and I'm gonna change that to 1 1 5 200 is that you can see what says BMP begin that's gonna look for an a squared C address of 0 X 77 by default that's Adafruit default address for their devices for their software to run if you all buy one of these from a cheaper place like many of us do and I do I'm a skinflint then generally I have not found one it has not been 76 if you find that yours isn't 76 you still can't find that sensor you need to run it a square to see scanner I put a link up to video ideas about that up above now and a link in the description below so let's recon power so it's uploading again with a serial monitor and we're gonna be a control this in the second when it's finished applauding set that to one more five two hundred clear the output and it's working perfectly so it's showing you temperature then the pressure with a approximate altitude of a hundred sixty seven point six six meters anyway that's it for now that's completely done and this has been under five minutes and in all in real life I could get things to last more than five minutes have to be on a winner winner chicken dinner I do think that somebody else's catchphrase but anyway thanks very much for like it if you liked it put the old thumbs up if you're not subscribed you want to see bit more like this then please subscribe and both map links for stuff and things are down below catch you next time [Music] you
