Quick EASY way to KEEP DEER out of the GARDEN!!

hey everyone this is andy here uh on the awesome fawn and today i'm gonna show you guys a quick easy tip to keep the deer out of your garden as uh almost 100 percent works i mean i'm not going to say that it'll keep every single deer out because but it's worked perfect for me and this is a tip that old fella gave me and it works um that's all i've got to say about it it flap works first though as you can see here this is our winter garden it's got a greens it's got some turnip greens it's got turnips mustard all that good stuff planted in these first four rows and then over here we've got some broccoli and cabbage and some collard greens but um anyways i've got it planted down here in the middle of deer heaven um it's the only spot i've got right now that i could actually tear up the plant everywhere else still got something in it and anyways i had no choice but figure out how to keep the deer out from down here or do something to keep the deer out and this is the one easiest simple way le it's the cheapest simplest and most effective way that i knew to do it um and like i said an old fella a while back gave me the idea and told me he guaranteed it to work and i done it last year and i never had a problem so let's keep our fingers crossed this year we don't have a problem either but like i said i never had the first problem last year it worked perfect so first off what you have to do is okay you have to first off put some type of perimeter fence around your garden like an electric fence you know i've got these t-posts in the ground height flies doesn't much matter i mean i i kind of like to go what i've got here these were uh six foot post and right now they're up about i'd say about five foot now we got about a foot in the ground and then i've just got this little poly wire around the fence around the garden and i may end up putting another wire right here in the middle i don't know because those two wires are pretty far apart but when the guy when i saw the guy he told me he said i was complaining about deer that day and he just happened to hear me and he said he said i can tell you how to keep deer out of your garden with just one strand of electric wire and i said you're crazy there's no way he said yep i guarantee it to work and i was like well i'm listening because i was desperate and uh he said take an electric wire wrap tin full around it and leave a little piece hanging off and cover that piece in peanut butter and the deer will come up and try to lick that peanut butter off obviously it shocks them and they run away from it and they learn to leave that fence along because it hurts and i was like man that's it's brilliant but uh anyways it did work i come straight home i fixed up an electric fence around my garden and never had another problem with deer so that's what we're gonna do here today i'm gonna take uh i've got some aluminum foil here and uh peanut butter and we're just gonna take and put out some on that wire and uh i've already turned the power off to the fence let me show you what i've got over here and this is just an old rigged up real quick setup i've done it's just an old cheap zebra solar panel a solar box um with a ground wire run down to the ground stop here like i said this is nothing professional at all i mean you can see i've got a hose clamp i've got this wire stripped right there in the middle and wrapped around now you might can see down in there where it's wrapped around but this is just a regular metal rod with the wire wrapped around it and i mean i've just got a hose clamp hooked to it this was a quick setup and as a matter of fact i didn't even put that knob back on the other night um but like i said this was a quick setup something i just put together in just a few minutes and that's all it takes you know because this is not permanent it's not like we're holding animals in this is just uh just something to to keep the deer out and it's only gonna be here for you know a few months and then you'll you'll pull it back up and start all over again in the spring but anyways so let's get started with this all right so i've already turned the box off so there's no power on here right now and i just took a take a strip of tinfoil about like this i'll fold it long ways fold it again and just simply wrap that around a few times so it makes contact with the wire and this is what we'll put our peanut butter on i love peanut butter so that's simply all it takes and i'm gonna do this a couple more times i'll probably put two on this side on the long side i'll put two right i mean put one right on the other end and put two more on this side and that way any direction the deer comes in from they'll uh they'll smell that peanut butter and they'll they'll go straight to that peanut butter and as soon as they try to lick it off of that tinfoil bam it's over with so it works great i'm telling you guys that this is one foolproof way to keep deer i do garden the only maintenance there is to it is after rain and stuff like that you may have to come back and refresh your peanut butter you just kind of kind of got to keep a check on that other than that i guess the which i don't blame them because i love peanut butter i guess the deer just cannot resist and they can't get past the fact that there's peanut butter hanging there so each time they come out they go straight to that peanut butter they don't actually realize they can jump over the fence or through it or whatever they'll go to that peanut butter every time and i'm telling you it works at least for me it has worked you know i'm not going to say you guys may try it it may not work for you but at least it's worth the try because i didn't believe it when the guy told me about i was like there's no way and it did it worked i guess those deers learn once they get shocked they're like not messing with that no more and see that's a a guaranteed way to draw them to the fence to get shocked other than just trying to hop through those wires or hop over the fence which they'll do they'll definitely jump that fence um i've seen deer clear almost an eight foot fence before um but anyways like i said there's one more shot of the garden it's just been planted a couple days ago it's just getting started and our see our turnips and stuff are coming up in those rows we've got four rows of those but um anyways just wanted to share that quick tip with you today i'm going to go around and finish the uh finish up the other the rest of it here and uh be going back to the house here before long it's about time to feed myself and call it a night hey so i just wanted to come back and show you um just how good this aluminum foil will conduct the electricity um i'm done i've got there got another one out there one on the end two on that side and then of course the one that we done just now in the video but right here i've got my fence tester um and i've got it stuck in the ground but check this out i hope the video will pick up this light i'll pick it up there we go so there we're getting a full 7 000 volts through that aluminum foam um so yeah when that deer goes to take a bite of peanut butter it should knock him pretty good and this is not gonna hurt the deer so please don't come on here saying oh my gosh that's cruel to the deer um i've been shocked by electric fence more times than i care to even count i'm still here it just it's like a quick jolt and it's over with it's not it's just enough that it'll scare somebody to scare them away i mean heck last night i accidentally touched this fence and i mean it it it joked to me pretty good but it wasn't the worst of every worst thing i've ever felt but like i said it's not going to hurt the deer it just scares them off and lets them know that this is not somewhere they're supposed to be but anyways once again thanks for watching the video i just wanted to kind of share that with you and uh we will catch you
