the first time I saw tan was when I went to the gym in the morning at the hotel and I looked at him and he was on a treadmill and I was like who's this guy with immaculate hair at seven o'clock in the morning he was running on a cello eating him up we all met at casting at the queer eye auditions we were in LA we were in a hotel it was a cocktail party where was a meet-and-greet with in the February yep 17 the cocktail party space was a super intimidating there's like 90 or 80 gays or 60 or 50 or 90 and so funny that number and all of our heads changes other I think forty two guys in who were auditioning I thought there was almost 200 no well I really gathered around the boss it was like a wig wash and sub tan and I we went by the food I was I didn't meet because we were so focused on the food eating food yeah to be very honest with you the only people I really honed it on were the people that are here gramo and tan were the very first two that I met and we had something kind of clicked I ran into ten first we saw each other at the elevator and I immediately thought 10 is gonna get this show and I also thought he was so handsome and then when we got to casting we immediately all sort of met each other within first five minutes me Bobby and tan immediately then you came over no you came over next Anthony I thought was nervous nervous nervous Nellie oh I thought for sure that I didn't get aunt Anita have you been cut like this lady came over and gave him a hug and he thought what that meant that she had cut him so he like he like got his stuff to go to leave and then everyone had to stop him where are you going he going dude he's like I'm cut and he's like I'm you're not high like I said nice rise she gave everyone a hug as she was like thank you she was consoled and she was consoling me because somebody else had gotten cut and it was somebody who I befriended I tried to talk to you what city were really nervous and so that all you ever nervous to me he just was really appendix I wouldn't stop talking about anal my first interaction with Jonathan he ran across the room yelling where is she where is she where is she and he was looking for his coffee yeah XS my first impression of Jonathan was that there's no way he could be real because nobody could have that much energy naturally but then by day two it didn't waver and I was like wow no he just has that much energy naturally I remember ready meanly thinking oh no I don't think Jonathan a well because he told me a very very personal story it shocked me but now Jonathan is one of my favorite people on the planet two days after we got cast I took him to a birthday party with like of friends I was like 20 years and the stories he told them I loved any I I loved any whether the second many I loves me and I love many and she did not think that was a weird story at all your friends loved me just so you know I didn't say they didn't love you I just thought I wish I ever been invited about how you share I ever been invited back absolutely not I definitely thought that tan was very buttoned up very professional looked very sleek I mean I was so attracted to because of his that gorgeous skin in that Camel co-head I thought that tan was so confident within the first few minutes Kurama was already covered up with tans jacket because he is always cold and it was not cold I was freezing and he just was like he loved take my jacket when I first met crevo he was the first person to greet me Kurama I instantly knew was going to get the role or the role get the job Quran was very big on like yes intimate like one-on-one like hey here you are I'm addressing it and I remember thinking he's attractive my first impression of Bobby was that he was a total worrywart because we were standing next to each other and he messed up these two guys's names that were in unmaking yes I remember I came over here I just called that one the wrong name I called that one by that one what should I do and I was like look I turned my head to see who he was talking about and when I saw I was at Rebecca's like you know I don't think that's that big of a deal but by the time I said that he'd already be lying across the room was talking for both of them and you're telling them how sorry he wasn't he'd messed up their names a little I would say Bobby was the most intimidating because he had like seven suits laid out on across a table Bobby was giving me like a lot of brightness the people at casting said that the Netflix executives saw my bright blue colorful suit online I was loving about Google and they wanted to see that Bobby it were like a caricature of Bobby Bourke gives you had these real glasses on this really blunt spike you had these super bright suits no not all the body down and was like an offensive legion tone - it was like I picked it we got you there we knew immediately that we'd be friends it was no doubt in our minds i had actually started a five-year text before we were even cast between the five of us i think that's what the producer saw outside of each of our individual skills I think they saw a natural blonde and also they saw us fighting for each other meeting Jonathan has changed me because he's so open-minded non-judgmental he's so opinionated he's so well-informed he's very very studied in many many areas and so he's taught me so so so much I know that a lot of people in production right now I would like roll their eyes and no shade but I'd become a lot more patient I would agree Jonathan has definitely become more patient hanging out with the four of us meeting Anthony has made me more sensitive Quran was probably one of the first people on you within my age group who actually had kids but also grown-ass kids and just a sort of like heroes experience about parenting what I've learned from 10 is if you say things that are a little harsher but with a British accent people don't get as upset versus if we say it in American accent you can't have five people who are really good at what they do and who are open and honest and transparent not try to help the other people there with constantly and comfortable enough to be like called out on our chef absolutely we tele are growing we challenge each other all the time and that's how we met it is this isn't about how we met but there were arancini fried little risotto balls and I shoved one in my mouth and right when David Collins was coming and I was really intimidated that's the officiator and I started choking and I tried to swallow it in one gulp and I started getting teary-eyed as I was talking to him and I think he thought I was getting emotional which I also wasn't totally off-brand but I was actually choking on the fried rice he almost died on the first day
