Absolutely killer performance. I'd love to see Mark, Josh, Dave, and Nick together on stage....
I've seen Dave drum once and that was on the Them Crooked Vultures tour. It was so freaking spectacular. You don't want to take your eye off the guy while he's using his entire body to beat the hell out of the drums.
Best version of the band. I know this sub is divided between pre and post LC but I'm taking this version of Queens over any other.
The best live performance of the song ever with my dream lineup v1.
Early-aughts videos of them performing this song will never not put a huge goofy smile on my face. Thank you for making my morning OP.
Dave Grohl is by far the best drummer they ever had, sure everyone they've gotten to replace him is fantastic but none of them even come close to Dave in my opinion. The 2002 line up is definitely my favorite. I'm so happy to hear that he's coming back on the new qotsa album, hopefully he'll do some touring with them too as there is just simply not enough footage of him playing drums on the internet
The biggest reason Nirvana replaced Chad Channing with Dave Grohl was because Kurt wanted a louder drum sound. When they brought Dave in, he beat the absolute shit out of the drum set. They had to give him brushes for the Unplugged appearance because they were worried heβd hit too hard.
As much as I love Joshβs rendition of βDeadβ as the bandβs encore almost every time they perform live, no one can crush this or βIn the Fadeβ like Mark.
Lol Dave messes up the intro. Smile to Nick mightve been acknowledging the mistake
One of the best live versions of this song, and my personal favorite lineup for sure. You can tell Josh knows how fucking cool his band is in this clip.
