have watch a tailor with us we have genuine rot royalty we actually got lots of royalty here we have Tatum O'Neal I think there's still the youngest-ever person to win an Oscar yes it's pretty incredible Mel baby the fact of what an Oscar any budget sailor who's just come fresh from opening the Oscars now Roger for you two things ready one tonight be mirror actually obviously Best Actor goes to the guy who played Freddie Mercury in the movie but you guys on the back of that doctor opened the Oscars not even for Queen one of the great rock bands in the last three four decades what was that like for you but it was great it was interesting news that we were swimming out of our own pond and so you know it was just yeah open the Oscars that's something you never thought you'd do he knows you get to be honest no Ramy won the oscar incredible just brilliant who's floating on there yeah and it's been a great night it's also a lovely love story bear isn't there because he fell in love with Lucy Boynton who played you won't marry who fell in love with Freddie and he gave her the first person to really pick up on that I found watching the movie which I absolutely loved i watched it about a week ago and I really loved it it for me is a fact the great Queen fan it just he became Freddie Mercury to me as a value to you where it wasn't just Freddie obviously the singer but your great friend how close did he get do you think to the real thing he got really close spiritually he really had it in the eyes and everything it's he was different body he's you know he wasn't as quite as as what what do you I don't know the word but he wasn't physically different to Freddie Neeley laughing but he was incredible in the role yeah he and that intensity and I think the film and you know aside from the some of the critics you know who have seems to have lost the magic of film well they've added it to be I kept reading it should have been grittier it should have been you know slightly darker well I wish I was so why would you want it to be done why can't it be a celebration of an extraordinary life well I'd want to be touched and uplifted right and hopefully that's what it did yeah you know you don't want to Minaya way from anything really it's all so gorgeous I don't want to be a grubby about this but it's made us thinking about of money are you boys all looking yet to see a cheque perform was quality of all the performances tonight Queen Lady Gaga's super Bradley Cooper was a big moment I mean I did say that I wanted more pizzazz but you can't get away from the opening of the Oscars being what it is it is pressure there's a lot of people eyeballs on it and Adam Lambert the whole thing did do great I just wanted more pizzazz I'm sorry just not glitzy enough he's got a $10,000 jacket and some pretty earrings you want an Oscar when you were 10 years old I got it remember yeah cuz that's the first it's like one of the it's like the fourth award I think so I do remember you know was a long time after I won the award that we had to go home we just tired cuz you would spend I was 10 yeah it was also the year of the streaker yeah so that was kind of amazing I have an 11 year old and she's pretty moody half the time so were you what kind of kid were you and how did that impact period I was living with Ryan O'Neal and we were doing a different kind of father-daughter arrangement than buddy I'd seen it was it was it's sort of like I mean it was beautiful and amazing to win it but I don't think that it and it has been all my life as an adult but I don't think that I had been to the to this Sicily I'd won the Donatello I'd won the Golden Globe which would you want to go through it all again because there's always this debate about child stars whether really the sacrifice you make is never completely outweighed by the success I would do it I would do exactly the same yeah I mean yeah I would I'm not somebody that goes into regret and stuff like that I think that I couldn't have understood what it means to win an Oscar you know that then actors and actresses late their whole career to win something like that but I was certainly honored and and I recently ran into Linda Blair who I was up against and handy Clark who I was up against and kandi said to me and the winner is and it took me a minute and I was like oh my god Jesus kandi I was 10 well you mean there was bitterness there I thought so maybe but she's maybe said she was joking I don't know you

Mel B wanting more pizazz??! I guess you can't fault her for being honest, many wouldn't have been. But it's a boring awards show and they had three minutes, what more could they do?

I kind of know what Mel B means about the opening performance. It was a bit flat and dare I say it, anti-climatic. There was no build up to We Are The Champions. I thought they'd play Hammer To Fall and possibly Another one bites the dust in between the two songs and have more of a flow going instead of playing Rock You then pause and then We Are the champions. Normally when they do a medley, they keep the music going seamlessly and theres a build up and everything seems more epic.

I don’t know how to feel watching this interview. The whole time I have this frown on my face. But Roger’s there with his sarcasm, so it’s worth it hahaha! Also, I adore the honesty of Mel B. Thanks for sharing!
